There are only 2 Dennys in the Omaha vicinity, and this site is also a major truck stop off the 80 east at Gretna. Unlike the West Omaha location, customers are in transition, while locals tend to patronize the other Denny's. The quality of food is good at both, but the service is better at this location. Parking is easier, and you have an adjoining gas convenience store connected to this Dennys. Coffee is premium here, and the pies are freshly baked. I still prefer a Grand Slam over newer varieties of dishes at any time of the day.

Sadly, this place is dirty. The staff are loud and chatty with one another. The food is meh. Country fried steak was only so-so. The club sandwich oddly dry with sparse mayo, a thin tomato sliver, and one small leaf of lettuce. The wavy fries are just bad and exceedingly dry. The stainless countertop is dirty. The stainless countertop in the kitchen is dirty, as can be viewed through the pass-through window. Dirty dishes are not removed when refills are brought, and they are allowed to languish for 10 minutes or more as staff convenes at the end of the counter, one of them eating. Please do not use the restaurant dining room as the employee lounge. Please do not let the Hispanic cooks talk and laugh so loudly as to be heard by customers. The sink by the coffee makers drips water loudly and continuously. The salad bar is uncovered. The place is near empty and we know why. Please fix this place. It doesn't properly represent the brand.

Stopped at 8:45 on a Saturday during a thunderstorm and the place was closed. I assume it is to do with the labor shortages, but yikes.

Food is not good even for a truck stop. And the loud mouthed waitress needs to keep it down when customers are on their phones!

The selection skews towards IPAs but they generally have something for everyone. Each beer can come in different sizes depending how committed you are to trying a certain beer or just want a 5 ounce sampler. Food options here consist of some pretzel available to purchase but there is typically a food truck outside to help fill your stomach if you plan on staying awhile. The staff are not your typical bar staff but beer enthusiasts who are willing to wait on you hand and foot. The service is really top tier, the beers come out quick and they're always making their rounds to get your next drink.

The inside is very clean and simple - a nice, bright place to have a few drinks and chat with friends. The patio is great too when it's nice outside. All their brews are fabulous in my experience. My favorites are Great Plains Lager and the Cairns Pilsner (I am a fan of lighter beers if you couldn't tell). They have lots of different beer styles from Kölsches to Dunkels, and IPAs to Ales. So you'll definitely find something you like. They sell Kringles flavored pretzels for snacking on, or at least they did when I went last. Love those! Aside from that, they have food trucks that post up there as well, so definitely check their schedule to see who will be there when you want to go. For a local brewery, they have a pretty solid lineup of different brews, so I'd definitely check them out if you're in the Millard area!

The servers were attentive, fast, and knew the menu well enough to answer all our questions. Also important, this is a Coke Zero establishment. So I was already winning before the food even showed up. I went with the Husker Chicken Sandwich and sweet potato fries. I always ask for my fries well done, so yes, they looked extra crispy in the pic, and that was exactly what I wanted. They were perfect. The sandwich was huge, delicious, and something I will absolutely order again. Their honey mustard deserves its own shoutout. Top tier stuff. Now for the one downside. I know it's summer, but I absolutely froze in there. It felt like dining in a meat locker. I know not everyone is as cold-blooded as I am, and there are definitely worse things to complain about, but I was counting down the minutes until I could go thaw out in the car. Still, I'll be back. Just maybe in the fall. Or next time I'll bring a sweater. Or a blanket. Or both.

I will start off by saying that the staff here were all excellent, everyone was warm and friendly. The atmosphere was fine, it is in a new build in the middle of a suburban area, so it was about what i expected, it was nice and laid back. My wife ordered two of their specialty cocktails and they were both very good, I liked the queen bee the best. The food was very good as well, we started with a beef wonton appetizer, it was really good, it had nice pieces of rare beef with onions, slaw, and sauce on some very crispy wontons. We ordered the marsala glazed chicken and the meatloaf for our main courses, and both did not disappoint. The marsala chicken was tender and flavored well, and came on a bed of risotto and Brussels sprouts, the sprouts were excellent and all three ingredients worked very well together. The meatloaf was also excellent, it came topped with a tomato based gravy on top that had a great homemade taste, and the mashed potatoes were amazing, some of the best I've had in a while. We wanted dessert, but we're too full after a great meal.

One in our party ordered the seafood risotto and wasn't too happy with it. The patio looked inviting. Would be nice to sit outside for some apps. I'd give them another try for sure and order something else. The restaurant was very large and didn't seem over loud with all of the people there.

We both tried the steak tacos from the appetizer list. Our favorite white wine was available. We received warm bread (which doesn't happen when you order an appetizer for your meal). Perfect warm bread. As a meat snob, the steak in the tacos was perfectly seasoned. The sauce was just right, and the side of peppers went well. The service and ambiance were amazing. This is my second time coming to get the sirloin steak special on Wednesday. I think they have redone the place. It looked like they had New chair, chairs and table tables and I think the carpet was even new. They had a black theme going on which I thought made it feel like a little bit more of an upscale steakhouse, but still with the country charm. Our server with so sweet and took care of us very well. She came back to check on us often and was very helpful explaining things on the menu. We all ended up ordering the sirloin steak. You can choose the side of your choice . Our sides varied a little bit because my one friend can't have gluten, so she ended up ordering the baked potato. they were very accommodating and understood about needing to be careful with even the steak as they cooked it, to keep everything gluten-free. My other friend and I got the potato casserole. It was pretty good, but I wished I would've gotten the potato because I love a good baked potato with my steak. The sirloin steak was a great size and mine was done to perfection. It was a little tough in spots, but that is to be expected with sirloin. The flavor was fabulous, though. We had a nice corner table with a view out the window. The atmosphere is very enjoyable and it wasn't too loud. They have a huge dining area so we didn't have to worry about if we were going to get a table or not. I want to come back and try some of their other specials. Check out their website, it tells about each special that they have Monday through Friday and Saturday night they have prime rib! Round the Bend Steakhouse is definitely worth the drive, especially if you want to get out of the city and enjoy a nice little drive in the country. Mahoney State Park is close. Also, the Air Museum is by Mahoney. And Ashland has so many cool shops and a winery and a brewery.
