This may not be fine dining but it's my go to restaurant when I feel too lazy to cook. I'll give it five stars. People just need to understand this isn't fine dining. Wasn't the greatest steaks, but food was decent and price wasn't too bad. I asked for my New York strip medium, but it was a little on the medium well side and quite a few inedible pieces. The side mashed potato was pretty good and the side salad with eggs and cheese and ranch was actually one of the better parts of my meal. Of course, the hot bread and butter also hits the spot. Bumped up the star because Kelsie, our server was great. We came in about an hour before closing and she had a smile on her face the whole time and didn't rush us out the door. Split the checks about six ways and did a good job taking care of our group. Wouldn't be my first choice for a steak, but if you're craving a steak, this should do the job. read more

Texas Roadhouse was a shit show tonight. I went there to celebrate a big win for me today and my table wasn't cleaned when I was seated (dishes, old napkins still on it), my chili didn't show up, when it finally did, it had no onions on it, and then... my medium well steak was rare and was missing the onions and mushrooms. This wasn't my first rodeo with Texas Roadhouse--I've been here, done that, and usually left happy. But this time? This time was an adventure. Knowing full well that the restaurant would be packed on a Saturday night, we opted for takeout. I placed the order through the app (side note: still wish there was a way to apply my military discount there, but oh well). The app said our food would be ready at 7:30, so we left at 7:15, only to hit absolute chaos--downtown traffic, a basketball game, and the auto show. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was a zoo...and past our order time. No parking, not even in the designated to-go spots. My husband circled the lot while I made a break for the to-go shack. I was greeted promptly in the to-go area and informed that our food was almost ready--just waiting on the salads. Cool, no big deal. Or so I thought. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. The guy next to me was also waiting. We exchanged knowing glances--the silent camaraderie of two souls trapped in to-go limbo. Meanwhile, orders were flying out left and right... just not ours. We had made the tragic mistake of ordering lettuce. Slowly, salads began emerging from the back like some rare, exotic delicacy. The other guy finally got his food and left. I, however, remained. Just a girl, standing in a to-go shack, waiting for a house salad. At long last, my order appeared, and I grabbed it with all the hope of someone praying their food was still warm. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. Back home, the steaks were lukewarm at best, but the salads? Peak freshness. So, mission accomplished? Kind of? The real heartbreak? My sweet potato. Instead of arriving fully loaded with all the toppings, I was handed a sad little DIY kit--tiny cups of cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter--while the roasted marshmallows sat lonely on top. Once the steak issue was acknowledged, they brought me a well done steak which is wild but to be expected - fries were absolutely from the bottom of the barrel (usually are) - Mac n cheese upgrade (came out lukewarm) Service: half empty restaurant still resulted in us waiting almost 10 minutes to be sat during a "snow storm" mind you the restaurant was far from busy. Ambiance: there really isn't any, definitely lacks the appeal it once "used to have" Really just bummed that we keep giving this place a chance when they typically under deliver and we're left speaking with the manager every time due to some unforeseen issue either with the food or service. I'd recommend going to a different Texas Roadhouse if you want mediocre food and mediocre service. My loss can be your gain, learn from my mistake! read more

Arrived at 3p on Sunday and it was still pretty bustling. We love coming here for the delicious rolls with cinnamon butter, onion blossom, loaded sweet potato and affordable steaks and ribs. Its not a fancy steak house by any means but the steaks are good and ribs are tender and delicious as well. Our server was very friendly and efficient. Man I love this place. Between the prices and the quality of food, you can't go wrong. There was unfortunately a wait this past time we went but there's nothing you can do to prevent it. One thing I didn't know about this location is that they have books for kiddos while they wait! Due to the busy evening, the rolls looked a little funny BUT we don't judge by that! The rolls tasted the same as always and fulfilled the craving for warm bread cinnamon butter. Our food came out with minimal waiting and was absolute perfection. Every bite was everything I needed. We have been to a Texas Roadhouse before and the food has always been very good!!! It's a comfortable atmosphere with country music playing and TVs going. Thankfully it's not so loud that you Can't hear yourself talk! We came on a Saturday evening and it was very very busy. (Being Mothers Day weekend probably made it busier than usual but that was expected) We arrived and asked for a table for 2 , expecting to wait 35 minutes , but to our surprise we got the text to come up front very quickly ! It was a short wait for our table. We got the Fort Worth Ribeye, and the grilled chicken salad. The wait was reasonable for our food, considering how busy it was . Our waiter was amazing, big shout out to him. However, I ordered a Medium Rare sirloin and got a medium well instead. The manager stopped by and I explained the issue, and she said she would bring a new one out shortly. My boyfriend ordered his Medium and his was Medium Rare, but he isn't particular the way I am. 30 minutes go by and manager has not been around even once. Our waiter was an angel and I didn't have a problem with him so I wasn't gonna push that onto him when it wasn't even his fault and he was working hard. there was also a shaving of metal on one of my steak fries. This location denied my partner and I service of one drink with our dinner due to looking "too young" on our special anniversary dinner. Manager Dina requested our IDs again which we happily complied to and even took it to the back for a very long time. Visiting council bluffs again. We came back to Texas Roadhouse. The place was super busy, with the parking lot full and all tables filled. Our waitress was fantastic and asked us many time whether we needed anything else. We really enjoyed the prompt service. We had the specialMargarita which was very tasty. For our entrees, we ordered steakhouse filet salad, filet and rib combo, ribeye and shrimp combo. The ribeye combo was done very well. the filet combo was very good. The salad was good but the steak was undercooked, because I asked for medium but it was rare. The ambiance was good, maybe a little loud at the beginning of our dinner. There were two birthdays while we were eating. All the waitresses were singing loudly. All in all, we had a good meal. We hope we will come back again next year. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Didn't even make it past the hostess counter this time. Myself, my husband and our son walk in roughly around 4:50 p.m. there is no line, hardly any customers in the parking lot not busy at all. We walk up to the hostess counter and immediately the lady at the counter says "Hi honey" directly to me, odd since my husband and son are right next to me but okay whatever I dismiss it. She then holds up 3 fingers to signify 3 people I'm assuming but does not say a single word....Once again odd but I dismiss it and use my words like a grown woman and say "yes 3 people and a high chair." She then asks if we need a high chair to which my husband repeats back to her exactly what I had just said. She then tells us to stand over by the number 5 spot so I ask if there is a wait because we have a toddler who can get pretty antsy, to which she very rudely replies " No honey I just need you to stand there for a minute". We walk out...Absolutely horrible and disgusting snarky behavior from this girl. We don't even have any complaints about Texas Roadhouse or the food. This was only our second time coming to this location and both times unfortunately the same girl is at the hostess counter... Snarky, rude and passive aggressiveness is not something any customer should be immediately greeted with at a restaurant establishment. read more

We recently took my mom to celebrate her birthday. We all had separate bills, were quite indecisive, and also had an unexpected friend show up... so definitely an annoying party of about 15 people. Our waiter didn't make us feel like burdens at all, took our orders with ease and patience, and the food was still served so fast and perfect! Not one order wrong and all SOOOO DELICIOUS!!!! I just have to give a huge shoutout to our waiter JUDE at the Shadow Lake location in Papillion. He was so sweet and friendly! We even spilled a an entire drink (I'm telling you we were being so annoying lol) and he handled everything so gracefully and with a huge smile at all times. He deserves the biggest raise!!!! One of the worst experiences I have EVER had at any restaurant in my life! Ordered the 6oz filet MEDIUM, took forever and it came out BLOODY and COLD in the center. Server took it back, waited forever again, then my boyfriend mentioned that the manager had come to the table behind us with a steak on a plate that looked like mine and he tried to get his attention and even said "I think that's our steak over here". By the time I looked back the lady had already cut into it (which didn't make any sense anyways because their table had just been seated and they were just given their salads). He completely ignored us and we had to flag down the server again, to which she then went behind us and grabbed the other lady's steak and took it back to the kitchen. She then came back again and said she couldn't give it to me because the other person had touched it (understandable) but I asked why she didn't just let her keep that steak if that's what she ordered (ironically she had ordered the exact same thing, go figure) to which she replied "that steak was meant for your ticket and not hers so neither of you can have it" which didn't make any sense at all. By this point we had been there an hour and I just wanted to leave but she said she could get one cooked to go for us. I reluctantly agreed and we waited, yet again, and by the time the new one came back in a box it was a tiny, burnt/well done piece of crap that I don't even want. They did take it off the bill but then she also tried to charge us for 2 drinks when I only had one water, and didn't give us a pen when bringing the receipt and basically ignored us afterwards and I had to get another servers attention (she was sweet), for a pen. The manager never even came back over to apologize after his mess up. If you want a good meal with decent service, avoid this particular location at all costs, the one on 156th is great! read more

We occasionally visit this Texas Roadhouse location due to us having some family nearby. Time and time again, we have been severely disappointment by this particular restaurant in the Texas Roadhouse chain. The last few times we went, we had similar issues to our most recent experience that prompted this review. Joining the waitlist never seems to matter at this location. Yesterday, we were told that a 40-50 minute wait time was estimated when we added ourselves to the waitlist via the app. We showed up and checked in about 35 minutes into our wait time. Upon arrival we were told we would have about another 20 minutes to wait and we're fine with that since it wasn't too far above our quoted wait time. 30 minutes passed and I went back up to the host stand to see where we were at. It had now been an hour since we joined the waitlist and was 10 minutes past our quoted wait time and they said it would be another 25 minutes. We decided to wait and I really wish we hadn't this time. We got seated and waited about 15 minutes for our drinks after the server took our drink order. The basket of rolls we were given had a hair baked into one of them. By the time the server got around to taking our order, the other party that got sat at the same time as us already was getting their food. We waited over 35 minutes for our food after she took our food order. We had been in the restaurant for an hour and a half by the time we got our food. All of our food was horribly over cooked and the pie my mom ordered to go was given to her frozen... I have no idea why this location is not running as smoothly as the nearby locations in Papillion and Omaha, but we will not be back to this Texas Roadhouse location. read more

I came here on Valentines Day yesterday since this is my gf's favorite place to eat! We thought it would be overwhelming with people and our food would take forever. However! We were dead wrong! It was very easy getting a table! We used the online option to be added to the wait list, then texted here when we arrived! Make sure to use it! We were greeted by a warm, friendly, energetic atmosphere! The staff was great and the food was amazing! I ordered the prime rib medium rare with double veggies! Highly recommend! The staff did a great job on one of the busiest holidays for the food industry. They also had an amazing deal! Let me start with this. I have tried a lot of steaks in my life in different places. But let me tell you this. For some reason, I pick Texas Roadhouse and the best steak over there. There are many parking spaces outside of the restaurant. Since it is always packed, there are many cars parked. I would not worry about that because there is absolutely no problem with the parking. If you are a truck driver, there is a truck stop or several of them across the interstate 80. So the best thing to do is to make a reservation. Because if you won't, it gets really packed. To be honest I have never seen any restaurants getting so packed. However, it is not a problem.. They have those big peanut buckets. You can just grab them and snack on them while you are waiting to be seated. The floor is kind of a mess because people are throwing their peanut trash on the floor and every half an hour one of the employees comes up and sweep the floors. The restaurant stuff gives you this thing that vibrates when it is your turn. When you are being seated, the Menu is on the table at all times. What I usually get is 20 O.Z steak and fries with the house salad. Since the restaurant is very packed at all times, they will bring you this delicious bread with some sort of butter. You can snack on that too. Also, There are peanuts on your table. There are two buckets. One is full of peanuts, and another is for the trash. When you order your steak, you are allowed to choose two sides with it. I would say that fries and salad go hand in hand with it; they're cut and fried right in there and not frozen; top quality. When they bring out the steak, it smells so delicious that you just cannot resist but desire to just devour it like an animal. You could also ask them to add onions and mushrooms on top. In my opinion, A1 is the best sauce that goes with steak. I would guarantee that you'd get so full that you would not want to breath! After much deliberation, I have concluded that this is one of the best steak restaurants out there. I am highly suggesting to try the 20oz. steak and whatever is described above! read more

The place was packed at 4 PM on a Thursday, however my group of 4 were seated promptly. Service was fine with a lot of smiles. Asked for peanuts at our table and were given 4 bags. Tried the margaritas and the consensus was that The Legend Margarita with kicker was the way to go. Ordered two bone in ribeyes and two filet mignons. Medium rare was fine but not evenly cooked on the ribeyes however still enjoyable. Filets were medium well and medium rare both just fine. As far as seasoning I thought it was a little underwhelming on the ribeye, should I try this place again I would ask for extra pepper and salt at grilling time. Disappointing first experience for my California and Oregon friends. We wanted some real food after Anime Nebraskon, so we used their waitlist feature to wait for a table. On the site, you can choose what kind of table you'd like (hightop, booth, regular table). We arrived a during the time 40-60 min wait they estimated for us. We checked in and they told us, it would be another 20 minutes or so. The host's stand were all huddled with employees, but I still had to get their attention (which is super annoying to me). We were seated at a hightop table, which we did not select on the website. My friend does not like hightop tables so she told the host that she did not want a hightop table. The host said that we didn't not choose a hightop on the website... Um, yes we did. You either check mark that you want a hightop or you don't. It wasn't like there was an option to say that we absolutely did not want a hightop. They were busy, so we were stuck with a hightop to avoid waiting any longer. They were also out of bread, so my friend was even more hANGERY. I watched the bread area as all the other servers rush over there to get their tables bread and we were still breadless. :( is it a real Roadhouse experience without bread? After that whole ordeal, the rest of the visit went alright. The food was fine, it was like any other Texas Roadhouse I've been to. Service was medicore. This was the perfect amount of food for a 270lb guy and was very cheap. Texas Roadhouse by far has the best steaks for the price anywhere. I cannot wait to come back! Okay so I had to get on to write a review for this location. This place was so awesome in the hoops they went through to help our group and the server(s) and kitchen were rock stars! We were in town for a baseball tournament and we called at 6:30 to see if they could accommodate a group of 20! So after talking with a manager, Deana, she said give us until about 7:30-7:40 and we can get you taken care of. Well the group of 20 grew to 23 but at around 7:40 we were seated an corner area where all of us be able to be together! We had a single server, who had a couple of helpers, but she was fantastic taking care of all our needs! Her and the kitchen were able to coordinate where everyone got their salads before the meals and the meals themselves were all brought out together for 23 people!
