This wasn't my first rodeo with Texas Roadhouse--I've been here, done that, and usually left happy. But this time? This time was an adventure. Knowing full well that the restaurant would be packed on a Saturday night, we opted for takeout. I placed the order through the app (side note: still wish there was a way to apply my military discount there, but oh well). The app said our food would be ready at 7:30, so we left at 7:15, only to hit absolute chaos--downtown traffic, a basketball game, and the auto show. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was a zoo...and past our order time. No parking, not even in the designated to-go spots. My husband circled the lot while I made a break for the to-go shack. I was greeted promptly in the to-go area and informed that our food was almost ready--just waiting on the salads. Cool, no big deal. Or so I thought. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. The guy next to me was also waiting. We exchanged knowing glances--the silent camaraderie of two souls trapped in to-go limbo. Meanwhile, orders were flying out left and right... just not ours. We had made the tragic mistake of ordering lettuce. Slowly, salads began emerging from the back like some rare, exotic delicacy. The other guy finally got his food and left. I, however, remained. Just a girl, standing in a to-go shack, waiting for a house salad. At long last, my order appeared, and I grabbed it with all the hope of someone praying their food was still warm. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. Back home, the steaks were lukewarm at best, but the salads? Peak freshness. So, mission accomplished? Kind of? The real heartbreak? My sweet potato. Instead of arriving fully loaded with all the toppings, I was handed a sad little DIY kit--tiny cups of cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter--while the roasted marshmallows sat lonely on top. I was not emotionally prepared for a build-your-own-side situation. It wasn't bad, just... not the Texas Roadhouse I know and love. As I always told my kids growing up: I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

6oz steak and grilled shrimp with veggies and loaded potato $21

Arrived at 3p on Sunday and it was still pretty bustling. We love coming here for the delicious rolls with cinnamon butter, onion blossom, loaded sweet potato and affordable steaks and ribs. Its not a fancy steak house by any means but the steaks are good and ribs are tender and delicious as well. Our server was very friendly and efficient. The portions are good and we always seem to have leftovers because I get full off the sweet rolls.

We have been to a Texas Roadhouse before and the food has always been very good!!! It's a comfortable atmosphere with country music playing and TVs going. Thankfully it's not so loud that you Can't hear yourself talk! We came on a Saturday evening and it was very very busy. (Being Mothers Day weekend probably made it busier than usual but that was expected) We arrived and asked for a table for 2 , expecting to wait 35 minutes , but to our surprise we got the text to come up front very quickly ! It was a short wait for our table. We got the Fort Worth Ribeye, and the grilled chicken salad. The wait was reasonable for our food, considering how busy it was . The staff was very friendly and we thought they did a great job. The food was delicious and. We appreciated everyone's efforts!

Visiting council bluffs again. We came back to Texas Roadhouse. The place was super busy, with the parking lot full and all tables filled. Our waitress was fantastic and asked us many time whether we needed anything else. We really enjoyed the prompt service. We had the specialMargarita which was very tasty. For our entrees, we ordered steakhouse filet salad, filet and rib combo, ribeye and shrimp combo. The ribeye combo was done very well. the filet combo was very good. The salad was good but the steak was undercooked, because I asked for medium but it was rare. The ambiance was good, maybe a little loud at the beginning of our dinner. There were two birthdays while we were eating. All the waitresses were singing loudly. All in all, we had a good meal. We hope we will come back again next year.

Great service nice waiter food was fast and fresh not that busy mangers were nice steak was perfect

    14oz Fort Worth Ribeye

14oz Fort Worth Ribeye, ordered medium. Picked up, got home, enormous mistake! 2oz of edible beef cooked a smidge beyond rare and 12 oz of gristle and inedible connective tissue. Worst steak I've ever had. Wife's 8oz sirloin, which is usually our go to at roadhouse was also grisly. To top it all off we got a free hair on my wife's steak! Guess we won't be patronizing the Council Bluffs location again.

We were seated right away, and it was a perfect day to sit outside. The hostess let us know they had workers outside, but we were totally okay with the noise, which ended up being very minimal. We didn't order any drinks, but for food, I decided to try the birria grilled cheese, which comes with one side, and I chose fries. Not only did it look so appetizing, but it tasted AMAZING. The bread had some sort of seasoning on it that added so much flavor to the sandwich. The fries were seasoned exceptionally well too. I'll definitely be back sometime soon to try more items. The food today was 10/10, and our waitress was very kind and attentive as well.

The food had a…read morelot of promise, though a few dishes felt like they were just slightly off from being great. I had the Cubano sandwich, which was good overall, especially the smoky meat, but I think the coarse-ground mustard overpowered the flavours a bit and dulled the smokiness a bit. A plain yellow mustard might balance the sandwich better and let the smokiness shine through more. The sweet potato fries, however, were excellent. My wife Laura ordered Emily's Salad, which was pleasant and fresh, though we both thought it could have benefited from a little crunch--maybe some seeds or nuts added in. Our daughter Alex had the birria tacos and carne asada fries. The tacos were tasty, though a little on the small side, but the carne asada fries were fantastic. Umai! (I am a Rengoku fan; if you know, you know.) I highly recommend it. Our other daughter, Sam, ordered the birria grilled cheese and elote fries, and both were really good. Her cherryade was especially refreshing. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, though the dining area and patio felt a bit bare. A few plants outside and inside would really warm the place up and give it more character. The music was pretty good with indie hits in there. I also tried the Old Fashioned. It was definitely strong, which I appreciated, but it felt like it was missing a touch of sweetness or something to round it out. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, and I'd absolutely go back and try more on the menu. Their waitstaff was top-notch and really were on their game. The restaurant has good ingredients and solid ideas--it just feels like a few flavour balances could be dialed in a little more.

Beautiful furniture and an elegant feel to Memoir, making it a great "special occasion meal" location. I've been here a couple times and couldn't recommend the potato puffs appetizer enough. The fluffy and crunchy potato served with cheese that perfectly coats the puff. Delightful. The eggs Benedict was very uniquely blended together by the pickled onion and avocado, no meat, which is a neat take on eggs Benedict. Well seasoned hollandaise sauce with a perfectly poached egg. For the mocktail drinkers like myself, they have three options to choose from. One jalapeño & pineapple, a guava orange, and one other. They pay close attention to detail, from laying the plates with the name "Memoir" facing you, to cooking your meal to near perfection. One of my friends has been here with his co-workers a few times but I haven't been here before. (Maybe one time many many years ago that I don't remember....) When we sat down, the bartender, (waitress as well), came right over and took our drink orders and eventually our food orders. I wanted to try their renowned broasted chicken. (A device essentially uses pressure cooking and light frying to create a thin crispy skin and juicy interior). The chicken was some of the best 'fried' chicken that I've ever had, seriously. Super crispy skin and juice inside. Reminds me a little of Korean fried chicken. The texas toast was yummy, the cole slaw was creamy (if you like creamy slaw), and the crispy tots were crispy delicious. My friend got a broasted chicken sammich and he loved it too. (High praise coming from him.) My friends and I have been wanting to go back and get more broasted chicken since we left. All in all, this little bar/restaurant has some amazing food that I just didn't expect after driving and running past it for years. Can't wait to go back.
