This Denny's was, for lack of a better term, an absolute dumpster fire. They had three employees on the floor. So, you would think, I imagine all three were working? Not so! Only one was serving tables (10+ tables, mind you). The two others seemed to think that the success of the restaurant depended on mopping the floors and rolling silverware, as opposed to the legions of paying and unhappy customers waiting. What brought this Denny's experience to the point of absurdity was that the one server on the floor appeared to have genuinely never served tables before. He was only able to carry two drinks at once (trays, anyone?) and did not know where anything was on the ordering system he had. At one point he just handed me the gadget thing so I could order my food myself. It took them nearly 10 minutes to greet us, another 10 minutes to get our waters, 20 minutes to take our order, and then another 20 minutes until the food came out. Unsurprisingly, we basically had to sprint around the restaurant to find him and check out. Food quality was good, though! Full respect to the singular server for working though, competence notwithstanding--if my coworkers had left me to serve 10 tables by myself I would have walked out. read more

Absolutely disgusting how we were just treated there. We've come about 10 times over the last two months, especially enjoyed the apple crisp. We just walked in, asked for a table for two and the lady was just absolutely insanely unprofessional. Without a prompt she proceeded to tell us that people urinate all over the bathrooms, peed on the walls and all kinds of abhorrent information. We tried to move past it, but she would not quit. She tried to tell us all kinds of disgusting things that happen in her restaurant that we just did NOT need to hear before eating. We walked out and would never come back. Turns out that lady was the owner Brenda. My recommendation: hire more good staff but don't talk to customers yourself. I do not need to hear your life problems; just let me enjoy the salmon and an apple crisp without vulgar, graphic and disgusting info I didn't not ask for. Just minutes ago I was there to get a breakfast, a simple one, yet I asked for an ice cream dish $ 5.00 cost, plus an americano, asking to please the americano be served after the ice cream .. It took time for the 2 items to be served then, anericano was served 1st...but ice cream was never coming, so I made a signal to the waiter asking for the missing ice cream, he signaled "I wonder", so after waiting such a long time I decided to leave, and then suddenly the waiter came running after me in the street asking me to return and to pay for the coffee which I never drink, I was about to call the police. read more

This Denny's just opened up not too long ago. I got to Miami alot so it was kind of nice to come to a well known chain place, plus I haven't been to a Denny's in forever. So I basically have a routine when I come to Miami South Beach, I usually walk to get me ice coffee then chill at the beach for a while but on this day I decided to come here. I got their breakfast and it was good. Service was good as well. Price was reasonable bc usually everything on S Beach they up the price but I think this was one that didn't feel like it. And I loved that I was able to pay at the table using a scan code. read more

I have had hit or miss experiences with Denny's my entire life. So I did not go anywhere near this spot for months after they opened. The first time we ate here, our minds were blown. Everything was amazing: - the food was fresh and delicious - the service was fast, courteous and efficient - the restaurant was quiet with plenty of seating - we were really impressed The second time we ate here was the complete opposite: - the burger roll was hard and stale - the pancakes had no flavor - the service was terrible and the server was rude - it took 5 or 10 minutes just to get a little butter for our pancakes - she was mean about everything, even paying our check at the register - we were very disappointed But wait, there's more.. They have lots of little upsell traps in the menu and they are not clear about the price. For example, a burger comes with fries, and the menu says you can get onion rings instead for $1.29. Our server asked if I wanted "seasoned fries" with my burger. Knowing it came with fries and how they do the upsells I asked "is that extra? how much?" She answers me "one thousand dollars". Sounds like a joke, right? If a server says that to you, you would think there was probably no extra charge, right? So I said I would get them and then right before she left I asked again - how much extra for the seasoned fries? Turns out, $1.29 also. (I decided not to get them.) But wait, there's more.. The worst part of my second experience at this Denny's was WE BOTH GOT THE FLU FROM EATING HERE: - the restaurant was busy - the booths are low - someone near us was coughing the entire time we were there - there is nothing to block booths on either side - the ventilation is inadequate We both started getting sick the next day. Guessing others did too. I will probably never go here again. If i ever do decide to visit again, it will only be when they are not busy and only if I don't hear anyone coughing. I decided to give this Denny's a chance because it looked much brighter and flashier compared to other locations I've seen across the U.S. I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered the Bourbon Barbecue Sizzler, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The chicken was dry, and the vegetables were mushy and lukewarm at best. Hoping to salvage the experience, I went back to basics and ordered the chicken tenders. Sadly, these were just as dry as the chicken breast on the sizzler. That said, the service and atmosphere was excellent. I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in, and the server who helped me was very pleasant and attentive throughout my visit. When it comes to pricing, after spending only $28 on two meals that I wasn't particularly fond of and a drink, you could say it's actually quite reasonable. read more

I am writing this to warn other travelers about the shocking treatment I experienced at this Denny's location. I am a tourist from Europe and was unfamiliar with the specific ordering rules here. I ordered a meal from the Senior Menu, but when the bill arrived, I was charged the regular price. When I politely pointed out the mistake, the server and the manager became extremely aggressive. Instead of calmly explaining the policy or correcting the bill, they shouted at me, saying, "This is America, you pay here." To my absolute disbelief, they even called the police over a simple pricing dispute regarding a senior meal. As a visitor, I felt threatened and insulted. Being harassed and having the police called on you because of a billing error is unacceptable. I have never experienced such hostility in a restaurant. Love the new look of Denny's. I visit different Denny's all the time but I will definitely be coming back to this one. My husband had a bourbon skillet and I the moons over hammy. Both were absolutely amazing!!! Hot, tasty and well prepared. Our meals were complemented by our server Betty, who was very attentive, sweet & fast. I will be requesting her when I return. Definitely will come back to this location. Oh one more thing, very clean restaurant and restrooms. Loved it and will return. read more

Everytime I have come in here to eat, I have had a horrible experience with the servers. Today I came in to pickup a DoorDash order for a ghost kitchen kind of thing. It took 7 minutes for someone to even come to the front to notice I was there, he asked me who the order was for 5 times after I answered it multiple times and showed him the order.
