Denny's has been a staple for decades! I believe the experience is dependent upon the people and food quality. Our selections remain pretty consistent. Wifey gets the bourbon chicken, while I get the T-Bone steak and eggs. The chicken is ample and tender with a light smooth sweetness while accompanied by sautéed mushrooms, onions, broccoli, and diced potatoes. My steak is always prepared medium along with the eggs. I never need to add any seasonings! Additionally, for dessert, I have two vanilla crepes which are served tender and warm while stuffed with a creamy, sweet vanilla filling that fills every bite. Our servers are amazing, as they accommodate our every need. They're friendly, warm, always welcoming!! We love you Javier and Kim! I'm sure most of us at sometime or another have eaten at a Denny's where it's a hit or miss. This is a franchise location in this location that does a pretty good job and providing service. The portion size of their breakfast was spot on and what was impressive was the robot in the restaurant that would actually bring the food to the table along with the server. For the kids to observe this and see this, it's astonishing. What's next? But I was very satisfied and pleased with the service. The cleanliness and quality of the food was spot on so for this being a franchise job, you guys did a great job better than some of the corporate locations. I want to give a shout out to my server Jacob and a special thanks to the hostess of all people that you wouldn't think that would come over and help with the guest that are sitting at the counter and her name was ASTRID. She deserves a promotion trainer to be a server even though she's part-time when you cross train your employees. It's a win-win situation for your customers. Very Disappointed - Won't Be Returning Just left Denny's and had a very disappointing experience, especially given that we were celebrating my mother's birthday on her ACTUAL birthday. She brought in her birthday voucher for a FREE Everyday Value Slam and clearly showed it to our server, Marcial M, before placing her order. She specifically told him that she wanted to redeem the free Slam. However, what she received was not the Everyday Value Slam -- instead, she got 3 slices of brioche French toast, eggs, and 2 strips of bacon. At the time, we didn't realize this wasn't the correct meal, as it seemed like a reasonable version of a breakfast plate. Turns out, she was served one extra piece of French toast, making it ineligible for the voucher -- a detail that only became an issue after we'd eaten and went to pay. At the register, the cashier told us the coupon couldn't be used because the Value Slam wasn't ordered. After speaking with the server, they agreed to apply a $6.99 discount, but not the full cost of the incorrect meal that they had mistakenly served. My mother showed her voucher before placing the order. If the wrong meal was put in, that's on the server -- not her. The situation should have been corrected fairly and fully. Instead, we left feeling scammed and disappointed. We will not be returning to this location, and I hope management addresses how poorly this was handled -- especially when it involved a birthday promotion meant to make customers feel welcomed. read more

We had a nice meal and Javier was an amazing server. He was so kind and the food was very good. However there was a woman also working wearing high pigtails screaming in the kitchen about how to use coffee pots, and degrading the other servers. You could clearly hear her calling a co-worker dumb and telling the kitchen she'd get to it and she's busy (it's not busy in a dennys at 8pm). It is absolutley appalling that the manager on duty would allow one co-worker to treat another in this way especially in front of customers. Dennys moorpark management needs to consider how their pig-tailed employee destroys an otherwise great meal and makes customers uncomfortable with her rude behavior. It's cool to be nice to others. Looking for a place to meet my friend for breakfast early on a Wednesday morning. Dennys is a good choice because it is usually open 24/7 (this Dennys is not always open 24/7). At 7:30 AM, only one other person eating at the counter. Only one person working the front of the restaurant at that hour so she acted as hostess and server. Unfortunately, forgot her name but service was excellent throughout despite other patrons coming in by 8 AM. The restaurant is typical Dennys decor - a counter in front of the kitchen area with many booths and tables. Very clean. I ordered the Ultimate Omelet with hash browns and a side of pancakes ($16). The omelet had sausage, bacon, bell peppers, sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes and cheddar cheese - soooo good. The pancakes were also surprisingly delish. Way more food than I could finish in one sitting. Also surprising was the robot server that brought the food to the table (see attached video). Very cool. A 5 star meal at a Denny's??? No, Dennys didn't suddenly become gourmet dining. What really made this visit great was how friendly and accommodating our server was. I literally waited 30 minutes after placing my order to check on the status and neither company contacted me to say it was canceled- only once I checked on the order status for a better ETA. I tried reaching out to both parties, but both proved unsuccessful. Absolutely atrocious customer service and unbelievable from both parties. It's infuriating that there was zero accountability. I essentially lost an hour trying to deal with customer service, placing an order and trying to figure out what's going on. The offer from UBER was $5 credit for "inconvenience." I've been to Dennys in Moorpark two different times recently, on a weekday early afternoon. Both times there seemed to be only one server for all the people in there. There were several tables of customers. I ordered coffee and pancakes. They bring your coffee in the mug and also a small pot of coffee so you can refill your cup. It sounds like a great idea, the only problem is both times my coffee in the cup was barely warm and the coffee in the extra pot was also not hot. I looked around for the server so I could get some hot coffee. No one was around. The one server must have been busy at the register with customers paying their bills because I waited a very long time and the server only showed up to bring my pancakes. So I let him know I needed a new cup of coffee and that the coffee in the pot was also barely warm. He was friendly and took it away. So I've been in this restaurant now for quite awhile. I haven't had anything to drink or eat. Now I finally have my pancakes but had to wait awhile to get my coffee. It's kind of frustrating because this all could have been taken care of much faster if there were a few servers and one person wasn't doing everything. It must have been 30 minutes before I could finally enjoy some hot coffee and pancakes. On a positive note the dining room at this Dennys is very cozy and has nice big booths. The decor is nice. There's lots of parking. The servers seem pleasant. I just think they need to make sure they aren't serving lukewarm coffee and get a couple of servers so that they can serve customers properly. read more

I've been to multiple Denny's over the years, and have both good & terrible service, but today was the best service we've received, and these employees understand the assignment & what customer service is about. Host was juggling multiple people, checking in, checking out, and otherwise, and immediately acknowledged each one of us, our needs, and communicated calmly, professionally & accurately any expectations. He smiled, made eye contact & moved us along smoothly & quickly.
