We were off to a shaky start when the hostess asks us to "sit awhile". I asked her why and pointed to empty tables and she mumbled 'the kitchen" I said are you saying they are backed up? She said yes. I then said you can still seat us and we can have a cocktail while we wait. This kid had absolutely zero business being a hostess on an overly crowded day. And what kitchen doesn't prepare for a day like Mother's Day..but that's a them problem. The restaurant's decor really doesn't match the pricing. It's got more of a bar vibe than having $16 cocktails, $23+ starters and $30 entrees. The seats were shabby and worn, and the tables just looked utilitarian. Came on a Saturday and was happy there was no wait. Lots of TVs on all walls with football, soccer, dateline, tennis, news ... So many choices! Had the spicy brisket omelette which was stuffed full - highly recommend! Hash browns we're crisp and lightly seasoned. They have a pretty decent happy hour. Everything we ordered was good bar food and happy hour prices were great. It was a plus that we could sit and hang out to watch the game as well. My bro and I are not from the area - we were just in the area to golf and two gentleman gave us this recommendation after our golf round. It was quite empty when we came in (we came in on a Tuesday at around 4:30pm) and it was luckily happy hour! There were some great deals on there! Went with a party of 4 at 3pm on a Sunday. It's nice they have happy hour every day from 2-6. I got the brisket sandwich and my friend got the club sandwich. We were happy they were out of chips and had French fries instead. We split the sandwiches so we could try both. Brisket sandwich was a surprise favorite! Like REAL thick cut of brisket. Melted cheese, onion and just the right amount of sauce. I loved my fries and ate those first. Club sandwich was one of the best. Nice 3 pieces of sourdough. Perfect ratio of tomato, lettuce, bacon, turkey in every bite. BONUS they serve breakfast all day. 2 of us got sandwiches and 2 got breakfast. Cher was a super sweet server. Go for the potato chips! The homemade potato chips that come with their burgers and sandwiches are amazingly delicious. Thin and crispy and cooked to perfection tin. My friend ordered a Philly cheese steak that she said was great. I ordered a patty melt which was good except the burger tasted like it had been cooked on a grill that hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Always check your receipt before paying! I've been twice and was scammed twice. The first time it was myself and a friend a few years ago, and we split the bill. The waiter was friendly, took our cards to split the bill and charged us at our table. It wasn't until I saw the charge on my card that I realized $60 was far too expensive for my share, so I checked the emailed receipt. my friend and I had two salads and mimosas, but we were also charged for three other full meals. I called to get a refund and was told I would need to come in to talk to the manager. The manager told me he can't refund me until I get the people who ordered those meals to come in and pay. What?? There were no other people with us. I don't know who ordered that food. The waiter that had helped was working so I called him over at which point he admitted to overcharging. I ended up getting the refund but felt this was a regular practice. Last weekend we gave them another chance and went for brunch to watch football games. Since I remembered our last experience, I made sure to check the receipt. when I caught multiple items on the receipt priced higher than the menu, I called the waitress over. without even looking at the menu or receipt she said "oh we had changed the menu those are the correct prices on the receipt," so again, that automatic response makes it seems like this is common practice and they hope you won't notice. I told her she needs to change the prices to what's in the menu, and it saved us $70 read more

After a long baseball game with 10 kids and all their parents in tow, we rolled into Serendipity starving and fully expecting chaos -- but Gus absolutely saved the day. From the moment we sat down, Gus was amazing. He took every order (and there were a lot) at lightning speed, never missed a detail, and somehow managed to keep both the kids and the adults happy the entire time. He was attentive, thoughtful, patient, and everything you could possibly want in a server. Service remained very good throughout the meal. I ordered the Meat Lover Omelet ($20). A side of fruit was a $2 add on so I opted for potatoes. The omelet was huge and so loaded with meats - almost to a fault. The side of potatoes was also huge. No way I could finish it in one sitting. My buddy got a waffle ($16) which he said was very good. I went to this restaurant with a few of my girlfriends. We wanted to have a nice relaxing lunch and catch up on our lives. This restaurant is really two separate restaurants. When you walk in you hope to be seated in one of the nice big cozy booths in the main restaurant, but they always act like that area is only for dinner guests. You then get forced to go into the very noisy bar on the other side of the restaurant. Giant screens with sports playing, music blaring, crowds of people, kids and teenagers all forced to sit in the bar , while the beautiful cozy relaxing main restaurant sits empty waiting for the dinner crowd in the evening. We asked if we could please sit in the main restaurant. They refused. We said it's so noisy in the bar, could we please sit in the main restaurant. A really intense manager came over and said no way. Everyone has to sit in the bar. The main restaurant is for dinner only. We all walked out. We were gonna spend quite a bit and enjoy a nice lunch but we had to leave and go to another restaurant. Why would a restaurant owner want to turn away business. Why let a big area of your restaurant sit empty all day and only serve customers in there at dinner. I don't think the owners know what they are doing. They are missing out on making a lot more money. As we girls were leaving we watched a young couple with two little kids and a baby walk in and get seated in the bar. I felt bad for them. read more
