If I could give this place no stars I would! This place has the worst customer service I've ever come across!!! Everyone from the the management down today was just super shitty. We were seated (the girl looked like she didn't wanna seat us) then we patiently for waited 10 minutes and other people were checked on but my table! There were literally 3 girls at the register not doing anything but laughing huddled up! And we were still waiting another 5 minutes with not one person helping us. So we got up and left and they still didn't care not even the manager! So do not waste your time. Probably better off going to a McDonald's then this lousy Dennys. I used to frequent this place more before the service started going downhill. I like the food here, especially the Spicy BBQ Chicken Sandwich and the unlimited pancakes, but a trip a few months back killed it for me. Hoping to grab a quick bite before class, I came in and was given a seat fairly quickly. From there, things just deteriorated. After waiting about 30 mins, I finally got up, grabbed a manager-looking fellow, and asked to be served. Five minutes later, some annoyed "This isn't my table I shouldn't have to do this" server comes up and brusquely takes my order. Queue more waiting at a time when the place really isn't that full. I couldn't tell you how the food was because at that point I was too pissed off to tell and simply paid and left. Fix your service Denny's and stop having gang shootings and I'll start coming back. read more

Well they need improvements. And lots of it. They need a new manger for sure because they're mostly understaffed and you have to wait a while for your food to get to you. Place is old and can use some renovation. Maybe newer booths since they're always old and dirty. We order a really simple order 10 hush puppies. The guy who goes by the name of Gomez asked us if we wanted 6 or 10. We said 10. And he said no you said 6 I charged 6! We said okay that's okay And we then asked if we could have more frosting he said okay and he came back with literally one squirt of it. I had lunch today with my 8 year old. The waitress Linda was amazing but the food was ridiculous. My daughter had the Moon Over My Hammy which was great but I ordered the BLT with pickle. This is a sandwich that almost every restaurant has and it's very basic. They had the bread cut so small the food was falling out of it. The bacon was chopped up a little tiny pieces that it kept falling out and the lettuce was so huge it kept sliding out, the lettuce was a lot bigger than the bread. The bread kept falling apart it, they served it like this. The toothpick was stuck in the middle to hold it together which it really needed to because there was no way to pick this up and eat it without the bread falling apart in a food slipping out. I sent it back and let them know that this is not edible because the sandwich is breaking off and pieces and the food keeps sliding out, the bread is too small. They went and made a second one without pickle, very dry with no mayonnaise, the bread was still falling apart so I couldn't pick it up without actually holding on to the bacon. I gave it back and said just take it off my bill I don't want this. I did leave a tip for the waitress however because she was great, this was not her fault. Never going back! read more

Unfortunately, I tried coming here tonight after I got Boba cafe with friends and before we can walk in, the RUDE security guard turned us away and said we couldn't come in with it because there might be alcohol in it. Came into Denny's at around 4 in the morning for some food. We were seated immediately and we waited for our waitress to take our order. She finally went up to us and asked to take our order and she was very rude about taking our order. Now I would understand this type of behavior if we were giving her any type of attitude but her behavior was unacceptable I wasn't even able to fully put in my order because she interrupted me and moved on to others at my table. The only reason this Denny's is getting 3 stars as opposed to one is because we requested a waitress change and she was amazing and the food was good. The food was good and fresh but the coupon I received said the meal was 1.00 cheaper than what was charged to us. I didn't even look at the menu because we knew what we wanted going in. It was the meal than I received on my phone. When we received the check we asked the server why we were charged a 1.00 more than what we showed her we wanted that was in the phone. She replied if you look close it varies from store to store and sure enough looking closer it was there, but in fine print and the price we expected to pay was in BOLD letters to draw your attention. Now I see why it has low stars. The food was good. The reason I'm putting 2 is because my server took my order and I never saw her again. I needed a refill and couldn't find anyone to get my refill. Secondly they brung out my wife's food and mine but they said my son chicken nuggets would be right out. They weren't right out. We waited 8 mins for damn chicken nuggets. So I waited the whole time so i could eat together. By the time he got his food mine was cold, So there's that. Finally when I was ready to leave i flagged down the hostess to get our checks. It's hit or miss with the service. Some days I get a waitress/waiter who's on it and gets my food to me quickly and some day I feel they just peaced out and left me to fend for myself on my greasy food expedition. However, more often than not I get a good waitress/waiter and the experience is a-okay. The food is well...Denny's quality. However, the environment feels more chill and laid back than the Coco's next door and their food satisfies me in ways that iHop (also next door) can't. Came here on a slow Saturday afternoon with my boyfriend and friends. After being seated, we sat there for twenty five minutes before even being acknowledged by a server- ours or another one. And after he told us he would be right with us... We still had to wait another ten minutes before he took our order. Having worked in a restaurant for several years, after about ten minutes I was ready to leave but there weren't many other options within walking distance from our hotel so we stayed. The server was very apologetic for the wait, so I was a little more at ease with the decision to stay and eat, but still kept my guard up. We gave our food order and drink order at the same time and one of my friends ordered a smoothie... The chunks of ice in the smoothie were so huge, they wouldn't fit through the straw and were literally the size of boba. He couldn't even drink it! It still took another twenty minutes to get our food..and there were only two other tables in the restaurant so I know the kitchen couldn't have been that backed up. Came in and ordered two club sandwiches and once we got them, all the lettuce on it was very bad and spoiled! The fries were also really cold and hard! We originally asked for them to add cheese and then instead, they bring out the Cali club sandwich which comes with avocado which we specified said we did not want because my mother is allergic. Then they forgot to bring out the meatballs and garlic bread and Parmesan cheese (which we asked for in the beginning) for my child's spaghetti! We were driving home from Mammoth on Thanksgiving and desperate (and I mean desperate) for a place to eat. There is literally nothing on 395, especially on a holiday. We finally got off on University in hopes of hitting a Carl's Jr. (I said we were desperate). Well, the meanies at CJ decided to close early to go home to their families so we wander across the street to the only other open establishment...Denny's. Our expections were not high, but we had four adults and six starving kids to feed! There was a Thanksgiving special complete with turkey and pumpkin pie that made the kids smile, plus the breakfast anytime option was ideal for me. The food was fine (certainly not a place dreams are made of or anything, but a solid three stars). I'm giving the extra fourth star for the service. Our waiter was fun, attentive and just a very nice person. He was very patient with the crazy, hungry kids and always had a smile on his face. We ended up having a great time and the kids will remember this Denny's Thanksgiving for years! read more

I just don't like Denny's. Sure it's way cheaper than IHOP but that means the food is worse. Food: Their pancakes are so gross, they taste like they were from a frozen package and then microwaved. Their eggs are also not good, but I guess that's my fault for ordering scrambled next time I'll order something with a yoke in it so I know they're serving me a fresh cracked egg. I do like their cinnamon balls, or whatever they're called. They're good. Service: I would give the service 4/5. Whenever I've gone the servers/host(ess) are always nice. i remember coming down to riverside i typed in "good restaurants" and dennys popped up at around number 7... disappointing since theres so many other stores that are hidden. BUT ON A BRIGHTER NOTE got to love that 2,4,6,8 menu, yeahhhhh buddy broke college students, drunk college students, college students with munchies, hung over college students... yupp caters to your needs. but hey on the 2,4,6,8 menu i would recommend the burger flat bread, pulled pork sandwich, this grilled cheese with mozzarella cheese inside, and i have yet ventured into the $8 zone. Haven't been to dennys in a long while because the food is never great. This time I actually enjoyed it. We had breakfast for a late dinner. Chicken fried steak for the hubby and I had a steak skillet. Service was excellent, food was excellent and over all everything was fresh and made to order. As a poor college student that can't cook for himself, I appreciate a nice breakfast that isn't cereal or water. Or breakfast at 4am. Anyways, a couple friends and I came here one night around 7 or 8pm. There were a few tables but I wouldn't call it busy. We were seated immediately and given menus. Then, it took about 15 minutes for a server to come and ask us what we want to drink. Then another 10 minutes to bring out our water. WATER! Our food came out another 15 or 20 minutes later. The server was nice but I didn't see any reason for the service to be so slow. It's not like the place was packed or anything. The food was decent. It was around 11pm sunday night (jan 13, 2013) Yes literally last night and the bf and I were in the area. I was so cold and hungry I wanted something hot to go with my meal. Not being a fan at all of coffee I still wanted somethng hot to drink. We decided on this dennys since it was right down the way and I knew they'd have hot chocolate. We were seated and waited to have our drink orders taken. I'm assuming there was only one waitress on our side of the restaurant because I noticed many people just sitting around. after waiting who knows how long for our food orders I had noticed another table down the way (who mind you had already been seated before we were) get up and call the waitress over saying "can we get someone over here to order some food" I don't even know how long those hungry people waited to just have their order taken because I know she did not go over right away to take their order. I'm a fan of breakfast and I love going to Brandons diner but since we were at dennys i thought it would be not as good but almost as good. Oh man was I wrong. I ordered the sausage slam. 2 eggs. 2 sausages, 2 pancakes and hash browns. The food took forever I had already finished my hot chocolate and noticed way too late that the mug had lipstick on it, I've never worn lipstick in my life so that made me uneasy that I would get a dirty mug. When we got our food the waitress asked if I wanted more hot coco and I said yes. nope never got it. My eggs were too salty, my hashbrowns tasted like old, my sausage had a weird rubbery taste to it. the only decent thing were the pancakes. The waitress never came with my refill nor asked us how the food was. We waited and waited and she never came. We noticed some people checking out with another waiter so I told my bf that we should just get up and let the guy know which table we were at because I didn't want to wait another 30 mins to just receive our check and wait even longer to pay. We came here for breakfast. We were greeted and seated. Didn't take long for us to get our food. Daniel our waiter, took my order correctly but completely dropped the ball on my boyfriends order. Maybe he should write it down if he can't remember that much. My boyfriend got upgraded on his order for things he didn't even ask for. He even pointed at what he wanted. Me and my husband have been coming here for 9 years now, with our two children. This place used to be so friendly, and offered great food and service. Lately I want to say the pst year or two, we have noticed that they have become rude, and food has become bland. When I was pregnant I was the last to receive my food, and didn't even get my pancakes till everyone was finished eating and were ready to leave. A couple weeks ago, it seemed like they forgot our table. I'm highly disappointed with how you guys have been treating us regulars lately, and I've told my husband I've about had it with this place. We came here to eat breakfast and so far we been here for 28 minutes with no help. On top of that we waiting 15 minutes to get seated. They have open tables not enough waiters. They need to work on their scheduling and everything will be sunny. The food is good though. read more

First of all...you will probably need an interpreter to order food here. I think there is only one person who can barely speak in broken English. The service here is terrible! One server in particular, Andrea "Dre" totally overdoes her flirting with the male patrons to try to get better tips. I will not order from this Denny's again . I wish I would of gotten the mans name at the front counter . He was very very rude ! I greeted him after sitting in the parking lot in front of the door for 20 mins . I told him that I had curbside pick up and his response was " you have to come in and get your food if you want it " . I told him that on the website which is were I ordered it offered curbside pickup & I thought it was because of the corona virus. Shit service !!!!! So unorganized. Tried calling to order for pick up by phone, line was busy. Tried several times. Show up, ordered to go. Waited 40 mins! Watched people get skipped as far as seating went and also experienced the neglect of the staff to let me know that my order was ready. Asked a few times and the bag sat there the whole time. Jessica, the girl handing out orders for pick up could use some better customer service training. The staff overall including management need a better organized plan for seating and servicing! Today's my daughter's birthday I have been coming to this Dennys for the last 7 years and they have never asked me For my daughter's birth certificate. So we offer to have my husband show them the birth certificate via video.
