I gave this Denny's 5 star. Not because they're perfect but because I think this location has come along way. This is our first time in about 6-8 months since we've been here's. The service was horrible , one night we arrived shortly after 9pm and didn't get our food close to 11pm. No exaggeration. But today we decided to give it another shot and got our drinks fast, ordered or food not too long after and got our food right around 10pm. The girls were nice and the place was clean. Our last experience was horrible. I don't know where to start but what stands out is the mash potato. Oh wow, runny and salty. Not a firm school with brown gravy as before. Next, grilled chicken had this over seasoned malt on it when all I asked for was a side of lemon. Bad. "Shivers" Buffalo chip appetizer. What happened?!! These have sadly went to pot. I placed my order online for curbside pickup. I did not see a left side of the parking lot also I pulled in and parked I called the phone number nobody answered a worker had sat down at the table by the window where my car was parked and he was facing me and I saw another worker moving around the restaurant but still nobody answered. They just picked up the phone and reset it to go through the recording again so I press number two again to speak to a representative or one of the workers this time they answered his name was Cesar. He said OK I'll be right out there with the order, maybe five minutes and get a phone call on my phone yeah I went out there but nobody was there. I said well I don't know where curbside parking is any cut me off and said there's some on the left side there's one only so no, there's not some there's one, but I guess he can't count either, so I said OK. I'll go park over there because apparently he can't walk over to the other side when he only saw me parked over there. It only says the making model of my vehicle on the anyway so I go park over there and again, I'm waiting for like five minutes so I call again, nobody answers but here comes Cesar walking out so he comes up to my window very aggressively. I rolled down the window and he's like who are you picking up for but yelled who are you picking up for it and taking it back because I was sitting right there next to him and I could hear him just fine. Victor from the Denny's in Rowland heights CA is a great, helpful, generous, friendly, kind, efficient, sweet, good human being. I see how great and kind he is at work in Denny's. He even lets all his guests know that he is going on break, he tells each one personally, to let them know they will be attended to. He attends all guests equally by giving attention to everyone at the tables in a fast manner. He is sweet with kids and he even gave my toddler girl toys. He is such a great employee. This Denny's has a great vibe and atmosphere. It's because of great employees like Victor :) the food is great and it's the best Denny's I've been to. Victor doesn't rush anyone. We seat there for almost 20 minutes, no body ask you need some drinks or other requests, although every guys looks busy. I'll get straight to the point of this review. Our server Juan F wasn't as friendly and enthusiastic in serving us. He was extremely friendly and playful in severing another family that are same ethnicity as him. He was speaking to them in Spanish. I don't mind that part at all but treat everybody equally. Also, Hispanic female manager wasn't as friendly as well. Juan didn't take our order correctly and blamed it on the chefs. When we got our food it was drenched in butter. We had to drained it from our plate. The food was simply nasty. I should of listen to my daughters and gone to IHOP. Overall, customer service is horrible and terrible food. read more

PLEASE FIRE the woman we spoke to on the phone at 8.45 pm today. she was rude, hung up the phone, and told us to go fuck ourselves. the food is DISGUSTING and not edible. the pot roast is so small and tastes like what I'd imagine a shat ass would. I ordered mashed potatoes and recieved two freezing sides of fries. the cheesecake is mush and tastes completely wrong. When we first walked in there was a bum slumped over asleep on the bench. That right there isn't very professional. There was only two people there at 515am on a Wednesday morning. I ordered the hearty skillet without onion and added bacon. Ok I was very disappointed. I ordered scrambled eggs and the eggs were severely overcooked and dry. No fluff at all. The sausage came out whole, not cut up and mixed with the eggs. Normally skillets have everything mixed together. This one had everything separate which was new for me. The bacon was overcooked. The only thing I appreciated was the service. Our guy was very tentative. Will not come Back though. Needs some work in the kitchen. Taste and presentation need attention. read more

Extremely disappointing... =[ Ordered Items: Blueberry Pancake Puppies w/ Cream Cheese Icing (6) Blueberry Pancake Puppies Sundae w/ whipped cream and powdered sugar (3) So, the story goes, my friends and I came here months ago to try their original pancake puppies with strawberry but they ran out of strawberry and offered to put in blueberries. It was FANTABULOUS, golden brown, crisp and fresh on the outside and moist and fluffy in the inside, plus the side of warm maple syrup and cream cheese icing. Thinking about the awesometastic puppies recently, we came on a late-night dessert run.. and.... we.... were.....sooooooo......sad...... We ordered the newly introduced Blueberry Puppies and the Blueberry Puppies Sundae, thinking it would be just like last time. It was gross, disturbing, and obviously burnt. I even told the waiter that it looked wayyyy burnt and he responds, "Ooohh, well, see, you know, it's blueberry and you know when it's been sitting for awhile, the color runs....so when it's fried the sugar and the blueberry makes it darker......." (Ugh, no, doesn't work like that.... plus it looks absolutely nothing like the picture or what we had before... so YOU FAIL) Anyway, we decided to try it.... We ate the sundae first since the ice cream was melting and it was the only way to eat the crumbling, burnt mess. (they were like scrapings on the bottom of the fryer rolled into a ball, gross much?) After this fiasco, we didn't want to touch the other 6 "blueberry" crap balls (see photo), so we just sat there for a good 20 minutes waiting for someone to check up on us. The Asian manager walked by so many times but he never paid any attention to us and the waiter was a bit clueless. Finally when we got a hold of the waiter, I let him have it. He wanted to reimburse us with a new batch at no charge, but at that point we were done. There was no turning back on the puppies we once cherished, they were gone. So the bill ended up being $2.16 for the sundae (which we shouldn't have paid for, since it was burnt too).... This review is for a waitress at this location. With that said, although there was only one waitress (Ashnaira) during our visit, she managed to take everyone's order (the entire restaurant), fill their orders, check to see if anyone needed more coffee, answer the phone and fill online orders. She remained composed while she continued to multi task the entire time we were there (1 1/2 hours). When we first walked through the doors, the manager did not want to seat us because he was afraid we would get impatient and demand our food (even though he had already told us they were short staffed) . We reassured him that we totally understood their situation and we would wait patiently. At that point, Ashnaira overheard our conversation and let him know that she was ok with us being seated. She handled the entire evening just like a pro! We were all impressed with her outstanding work ethic and her ability to handle any circumstance under stress! There are very few employees with that measure of dedication to their craft. She is definitely manager material and I hope she gets promoted soon!! Food was good too! read more
