We got into Ruidosa late, and this was right on the way to the cabin we were renting. What can you say about Dennys other than you know what to expect. Since it was late, we all ordered breakfast. We all ordered the Slugger Grand Slam that comes with pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, coffee, and juice. We also got a great server. He was a middle-aged guy that was going back to school for a communications major. He was a very pleasant man to talk with, and he has probably never met a stranger. In fact, he was fluent in 14 languages. Our orders contained so much food, that we couldn't eat it all. That was ok as we took it home with us for our brakfast the next morning. Will I return? My husband had the slam burger and they forgot the bacon so he asked for it and the waiter said it didn't come with it. So got the menu and sure enough BACON! I ordered my eggs over medium and they came out over Extremely HARD! Second round of eggs even HARDER! Pancakes and hash browns burnt. We stopped in on the way out of town. We were sat quickly and got our drinks and order in. Our food came out in about 15 minutes. The order was correct except we had an extra plate of eggs and bacon. No one came to check on drinks or how things were. Other than that everything was just okay. Food wasn't amazing but wasn't bad either. read more

Came in for a late dinner. Ordered breakfasts (omelette, strawberry crepes, and scrambled eggs). Food was ok but the staff appeared lazy and not checking on us for more coffee (I had to ask each time). Place was not even busy (maybe 10 people in the dining area). 05/20/19 This morning I had the best build your own omelette at this location. I always order an omelette with chorizo, pepper jack cheese, avocados, and cheddar whenever I eat at Denny's. Every other Denny's I have had this omelette always puts the avocado on the side and the omelette is always room temperature. This cook put all the ingredients in or on top of the omelette and it was nice and warm and the cheese was nicely melted. The waitress was very lovely. read more

The servers were courteous but blue fingernail polish on a guy with forearm tats kinda took me for a loop. The eggs over easy were undercooked-the white of egg was not cooked but runny clear. I came here with my boyfriend after visiting white sands, and after we finished our food and asked for the check, we were informed that we couldn't close out our ticket because the girl who was working with us had left and needed to come back to close out her drawer. Who does that? And why can't the manager on duty do it? Anywho, the girl never came back, and we were informed that the next server coming in (who was late) was to close out our meal ticket. I'm giving it a 3 because... 1. Was told 15 min wait - we waited for 30 2. Only manager & dishwasher to handle ALL seating cashier, busing, serving! 3. Had 2 big tables of more than 10 so with COVID it was like forever! BUT - all in all they were trying to do their very best under their circumstances. Despite not being busy, our food waited on the counter for over 15 min. to be served while our waitress played with the silverware. And then when it did come, it was not what I had ordered. Instead of apologizing and/or asking what she could do to make it right, she argued with me saying that Chicken Fried Stake was the same thing as Chicken Fried Chicken. What can I say? Very poor service and disorganized to say the least. I was shown a booth seat and when no one acknowledged my presence I moved to the counter, where after a period of time a trainee finally offered me a cup of coffee, which she stood and watched brew. Too bad I wasn't keeping time, but after another 15 minutes with no one to take my order I went to pay for my coffee. Whoever was in charge finally came over and after explaining I never got waited on he said, "I do apologize" over his shoulder as he walked off. I just wanna say that the staff here is really nice. I eat at a lot of Denny's and the people here are the most focused on their tables, the customer service, and making people smile. They are also really great if your order isn't perfect. My husband had a totally wrong plate one night and they fixed it really fast, plus refunded his meal on ticket. We were looking forward to having the 3 leches pancakes we had a few weeks back in the El Paso northeast location. Unfortunately not all restaurants are alike. The coffee was brought out for me and my wife, one was steaming hot and the other was room temp. I thought it was strange but went on waiting for my meal. Our meal came out in a timely manner but was surprised to see our hash browns were completely burnt, not just crispy but completely burnt! I ordered pancakes and for some reason they tasted pre-done. The Denny's corporation needs to take note of his location on what not to do. Three of went there and were seated promptly (since no one was there). After sitting in the freezing environment our nice but inexperienced waitress takes our drink order. After 5 mins they bring our drinks. The waitress takes our order but she couldn't make suggestions bc it was her second day. We understood and ignored her lack of knowledge. We asked if she could raise the temperature bc it was a cold 50 degrees inside restaurant but then she mentioned everyone had been complaining and they won't adjust it. She then moves on to say that no one lasts working there due to poor management and she probably wouldn't either. After 40 mins we get our food and it looks like overcooked prison food. All the skillets were charred and eggs where foamy. The sausage or chorizo or ham tasted the same, couldn't tell which was which since it was so overcooked. The chicken sandwich was sloppy and no effort was made to make it tasty. We were hungry and no other restaurant was open so we ate what was edible and left as soon as we could due to freezing inside temperature. I feel bad for corporation on having such a poorly operated establishment. Someone from headquarters needs to come in and replace management and retrain cooks. We got stuck in town due to a larger-than-expected snowstorm dumping 15" on us, closing roads. We needed lunch and a place to spend some time waiting for our hotel room to open up. Although they were dealing with a significant staff shortage as well as supply shortage due to the storm, the staff was hustling like mad, but still very friendly and kept us updated. They let us hang out for an extra hour, never feeling like we needed to leave (they didn't need the table, there were plenty) and Robert was a dream of a waiter. We have given them several tries on different occasions and have to say they are not up to snuff even by Denny's standards. We were sat after a few minute wait, which was nothing out if the ordinary. After sitting the tea we ordered was old, so my fiance asked for a cherry limeaid. We then ordered our meals which consisted of two sandwiches. After waiting ten minutes, the cherry limeaid arrived. Waiting another 18 minutes, our food finally arrived. People that arrived after us were already leaving by the time we got our food. The manager explained that they were understaffed and she took care of our bill.
