Haven't been to a Denny's in who knows when but as it was right in the middle of where everyone was and I was jonesing for some pancakes for breakfast we went here. They seated our party of 3 adults, two teens and one infant in a corner round booth and we were good to go. And we filled that table up with food too! (I still don't know where the teen boy puts his food, he's skinny! Must go in his big feet) Our server was very nice and we never had to wait for anything and she even complied with my wish for a banana slice to put on the pancake I put on the baby's head for a photo. Yeah I did it! Breakfast for the 5 of us (baby had his bottle) came to $65 and I felt that was reasonable considering how much everyone ate and no one left empty. Not a fancy place, basic Denny's decor, but it had the right food at the right price with a nice server for all of us. No complaints here! read more

I drove by this particular Denny's location on Veterans Memorial Drive and on the highway going to and from Independence to St. Louis or St. Louis to Independence and going to work and coming home; however, before now, I didn't stop and try it out. After a long drive from the KC area to St. Louis and after finishing up paper work for selling my house in Independence and my Condo in Overland Park in Kansas, I had to stop and eat. I don't frequent any Denny's often if at all, but since it's open 24 hours a day, its convenient. I suppose that this locations is pretty much like all the other locations as far as their menu is concerned which is really rather extensive. The server whom I had did a very good job, so I gave her a good tip. I got a veggie omelette with quarter cut, fried red potatoes and whole wheat toast that was lightly buttered; and because I needed a caffeine boost, I got coffee. So their coffee wasn't really all that good but not all that bad either; it was rather bitter and strong, so I added Splenda and several of those little creamer containers until it was adjusted to how I liked it and could drink it. I got a couple of refills on it and adjusted it each time that I was given a refill. I put some sugar into it, too, a couple of times. The red potatoes were fried; I suspect that they were cut and then par boiled because they had that texture like when I boil the potatoes and then fry them when I cook. I liked them, but I salted them. They needed it. The omelette that I got was scrambled eggs that I suspect was preformed into an omelette shape and then cooked veggies were put into it before it was folded over to resemble an omelette. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't like the traditional French omelettes; a traditional French omelette would be expecting too much from Denny's, I suppose. It tasted like what it was: eggs with cooked veggies. There isn't really too much to say about whole wheat toast. It was lightly buttered, and there were those little jelly packets that they always have, so I used some of those. This place could be classified as a "greasy spoon" because when I was finished eating, there was a thin coating of grease on the plate: greasy food, greasy spoon. So overall, it wasn't exceptionally good nor was it exceptionally bad. If you are hungry and need to eat, it was good enough. read more

My boyfriend and I went to Denny's around 1 and it was horrible our server Joyce was horrible never brought us syrup or hot sauce. It was terrible she made us feel very uncomfortable and didn't seem to care about us the food was good for the most part I got the parm chicken sizzler and my boyfriend got the special that had all you can eat pancakes and the pancakes were under cooked. Well or the fact one cook does things different than how Denny's does it but that's ok, I just laugh to myself and write this review. This is our favorite Denny's in the area by far. It is the cleanest and most recently remodeled one. The staff here are very nice and aren't cranky like other ones we have been too. The food is always the same quality no matter what time of day. We always try something different but never steer away from breakfast food. The grand slam is always a good choice because it is the most customizable. Average in all respects. Service is the basic take your order and see ya when they bring your food. Other than that, your lucky to get Refills or extra napkins. The food takes a long time to come out to you. The food does have flavor. The staff is not rude but not really friendly. Only come here if Ginghams, waffle house or Steak N Shake arnt what you want. No hot water after it ran for 30 seconds (men's restroom). The window cills has noticeable debris and dust. read more

First, if the user photo which was submitted for this location is indeed accurate, then this Denny's has substantially remodeled. I plan to return just for that alone! The last time I was here was approximately a year and a half ago, upon learning that a family friend had passed away. While I don't think that factored into my opinion of the food that day, the food was just OK. I remember Denny's being a lot better than that. Before this experience, it was probably 3-4 years since I last ate at this location. My dining companion and I were treated rather rudely by a female manager. Even if I love the restaurant/food, if a manager is rude, that's a deal-breaker for me. I doubt this manager continues to work there, although I have no proof. I plan to return in the near future to check out the improvements. Hopefully, the food will have improved as well, and will be back on track with how it was back in the '90s. I will update later. My 85 yo mother and I went to this restaurant Tuesday night and even though 90%of the restaurant was empty they had all the customers sitting in 6 booths close together because St. Charles County doesn't REQUIRE them to social distance customers anymore. When I questioned the manager about this she picked up our silverware and basically escorted us out the door. We have been going here for years ... well not anymore they clearly don't care about customers health just because you don't HAVE to Social Distance doesn't mean you shouldn't. My friends and I walked into this Dennys around 1:20am (20min ago because we are still here and waiting for our order to be taken) anyways, as soon as we walked in the door the waitress (never disclosed her name and not wearing a name tag but shorter with dark hair in a bun and I think shes also pregnant) the waitress was upset to see 3 of us standing by the podium waiting to be served.. She told us to find a spot and she would be right over... 10 minutes later she stopped by and tossed down menus and said she would be back in a minute.. (heard that before). Finally she got a drink order and it was wrong but I didnt care enough to correct it because I just needed something cold. She just came back and took our order, seemed like she was very angry or irritated with our presence. I work in the industry and know it can be stressful but there was 2 tables when we walked in.. thats not too much for an experienced server.. not only has she not smiled once and gets huffy with everhthing around her but a group of 5 people walked in and she snapped on them saying it was really busy and she would get to them soon.. looking over they still dont have drinks so the leader of that group came up to ask for menus and she shoved them at her then turned and walked away... Im so appalled at this experience and service. There are literally ants crawling on our table!! Gross 2 thumbs down and you probably want to think about restaffing or we wont be returning. Only giving this place a 3 because the waitress tonight (12-13-19) was amazing. We walked in with 8 people and a toddler, knowing we would most likely have to wait and our food would take awhile with such a big order. However, what we did not expect was for all other servers to leave one waitress alone on a Friday night and management to not do a thing about it. Customers were seated all over the restaurant with no care that this woman would have to run all over to serve every table, while the manager sat on her butt and did nothing unless the woman asked her for help. We waited for our food for about an hour, mine was forgotten and I didn't mind because again, this waitress was busting her butt and I can't hold her accountable for her boss being lazy and coworkers sucking more than Michigan's football team. I am completely upset that all the complaints they'll get about tonight will be aimed straight for her when the manager is the one who should be under fire. So, please, if you ever visit this location tip your servers well because apparently they're the only ones that do anything around there. read more

(A family of 6) arrived Sunday morning waited over an hour to be seated. While we were waiting there were 8 empty tables (that we could see) including one that could easily sit our party. A woman with a health condition came in and after waiting a while eventually relayed this condition to the hostess who finally found her a seat; but no one came to bring her silverware, a menu or coffee. There were several members of the elderly population in addition to a physically disabled customer in the waiting area while there were so many open tables. The employees were obviously very busy filling orders; especially their online orders; but even if the wait was going to be a minute the customers should have been seated. read more

We came in on a very cold snowy Sunday morning at about eleven. We are sat practically on top of another couple. It took at least 45 min to get our food that tasted like it had died in the window. My eggs and pancakes were sorta warm. I noticed the couple who'd sat down five or ten minutes after us had gotten their food waayy before us. Also the order was wrong and my fiancé's hashbrowns were very crispy. I guess it's a good thing they messed up and gave me hashbrowns I didn't ask for because he had to eat mine. Normally, I am a regular, satisfied customer. The food is good and the waitresses are excellent. I am tired of "Drive-By" management. This morning 1/14/2018, my breakfast was Lousy! The Sante Fe Skillet was just barely "luke" warm and skimpy on food. Missing about 50%, but there was a residual piece of burn't food on the platter.YUK! FAIL! Totally unsatisfactory! The waitress did not seem to be concerned. Number 2 - For the second year running, their parking lot is a mess with a trash dumpster parked right in the way of the parking lot entrance. There is a hole in the pavement at the entrance that has been overlooked when they updated their building. Unfortunately, you can tell that this is a corporate run restaurant because of the lack of care. Picked up dinner tonight on the way to work and was highly disappointed. I ordered two orders of nachos, one whole order and half order for a co worker. Needless to say when I got to work I noticed both orders were the same portion and one was cold. The "nacho cheese" was runny with too many onions in it and many of my chips were soaked in grease. I called the supervisor on duty and he stated if I come back he'd give me extra meat.. This was the WORST meal I've ever had in my life!! If I could rate this place zero stars God knows I would!! Burnt bread and poor service! Wouldn't recommend this location. Super slow and rude service. Ordered a club sandwich and they ever so kindly burnt the sandwich bread and served it to us.
