Our experience was lovely. My wife and I were coming from an appointment nearby and were wanting brunch. We were seated right away and our waitress was a delight. Tiffany was attentive and anticipating our needs and was wonderfully accommodating. I had the country-fried steak with eggs and pancakes. My wife had the Everyday Value Slam with sausage. They were excellently prepared and tasty. They remodeled the interior a couple of years ago to hearken to their roots as a mid-century diner. The booths and tables are comfortable and the walls are accented with outdoor landscapes and pictures of their past style iterations through the years. We highly recommend it for the price, service, and convenience to nearby shopping and freeway access. read more

Don't go to Denny's. You know you shouldn't. You know it will be bad. But maybe they've changed, you think- and it's late, and your childs hungry. So you go. You look at the mouth watering pictures. Twenty minutes later the waitress in the empty restaurant shows up, without the drinks you ordered when you were seated. She doesn't apologize, says that's how she does things. You place a hopeful. humble order of two of the cheapest things on the menu. Some eggs and hash browns for you, a macaroni and cheese beef skillet for your innocent son. The waitress smiles an empty smile and dutifully thanks you. She goes back to shouting her part in a private conversation with another staff across the empty booths. Three days later, the food sails in and down. It looks good. You're so damn hungry now. You dig in. Mid chew, the flavor tells you this is going to be bad again. You've made another terrible mistake and now you're going to pay for it. The scrambled eggs, while truly a beautiful yellow taste like scrambled erasers. The hash browns have been cooked in the cheapest, oldest vegetable oil allowable by law and it seems the cook forgot to soak the dehydrated potatoes. Just like last year. They are harder than raw, imbittered by the oil, undigestable. You look over at your son, hoping God has had pity on him because he's young and not aquainted with decades of sin like you are. But there is no God here. You see his face, so like your own, so politely trying not to disappoint you. Quickly, you sample a forkfull of the beef. Is it dehydrated too? It tastes like burnt Slim Jims in BBQ sauce. The mac and cheese is bland, but the small amount of milk coats your stomach enough to keep the grade B beef down. You look at each other. You're filled with shame. Why didn't you work harder? Why were you so selfish? Maybe you could have gone somewhere decent for your child. But you had to live the bohemian life and curse your parents. And now it's Denny's for you and all the generations to come. Get the check and get out of here. Change your life. Be someone who doesn't take their precious child to Denny's. Someone who teaches them dignity and repentance and hard work. Break the cycle of Denny's! This was truly the worst dining experience I've had since the last time we ate here. Everything in the other negative reviews was true for us as well. What happened to Denny's? They were never great but not this bad. You really have to try to be this bad. Nothing redeemable. From the smell, the agressive service, the wait, the uncooked, bitter, greasy hash browns, and even the toast, slathered in cold yellow Crisco (how do you make bad toast at Denny's, its literaly their bread and butter), Denny's- this Denny's, at least, is truly, truly bad. And $3.50 for a Sprite? Hug your kids. Go to church. Eat at home. The only good about my experience this morning was the service. 3 of us sat down and ordered 3 breakfasts. They all were served dripping with some unknown cooking oil. I kid you not, every cut into our omelettes would expel oil. There was oil present when the food was served on the plate and each cut into any of the served food expelled further volumes of oil. The hash browns were drenched with oil. when we completed our meals the amount of oil left on the plates was enough to cook several ordinary meals. It seems like you can always count on Denny's for good food, late at night. Our train to Eugene was two hours late and we wanted something to eat. I punched Denny's into the GPS and this one came up. It only took me three tries to find the correct driveway. There was plenty of parking. It took a couple of minutes, while a customer in front of us was take care of, before we were seated in a booth. The Double Berry Banana Pancake Slam immediately caught my eye. My wife ordered a senior traditional bacon and eggs breakfast. I do like the way Denny's does bacon. My pancake slam was everything I expected from a Denny's Slam, the strawberries and bananas were especially good. The only negative was my eggs were cooked over easy. This place is a nightmare. Last few times I went in there is always issues. Once at 1am after a movie there was no one in the restaurant but one person getting a To go order that I guess took both waitresses to fill a cup of soda for the girl. We stood at the counter as the one waitress filled the drink and chatted with the other waitress who was staring at us and laying on the counter. This continued for 5 minutes us just standing waiting to be seated and being stared at by both waitresses now as they chatted and the to hold order Gal left. After almost 10 minutes of clearly being blatantly ignored and looked at we said F this and started to walk out. That's when BOTH waitresses who were both laying on the counters got up and still chatting started slowly heading to us like they planned to help us bet slow enough to not stop us from leaving and not even saying anything to stop us. We get outside and are like WTF just happened!!! I was shocked my friend was mad as hell. We started walking to our car and we look in the window and both waitresses were now sitting on their butts at a table one had her head down looking like it was nap time the other was playing on her phone. Clearly neither wanted to do their job at all so they just ignored us till we got fed up and left so they didn't have to work. The time before this I came in by myself and I was in 5am ish. Was craving a burger so figured I would try theirs. Well their chef was yelling and cussing and in a clearly pissy mood so was already on edge given I have ptsd from people raging and having temper tantrum's violently. So I ordered my food and when it arrived I had no way to eat it. This guy had chopped the patties up like taco meat so it fell all over the place and stuffed so much random extra lettuce on I couldn't get my mouth around it. I was getting meat grease and drippy sauce all over me. The waitress wouldn't come back for hours even though she saw me and saw I kept trying to flag her down and there were only 3 other tables. It was obviously avoiding me. I finally got a manager as she came in for her shift and explained everything and the screaming swearing chef and the waitress came over then and said the chef was in a bad mood so she didn't want to upset hi by saying he messed up (clearly he was more important than the customer) she then tossed a box at me and the bill right in front of the manager. The manager said she understood completely and said she would fix it and make it properly. She went back to make it there was the chef throwing stuff and yelling whall staring at me then huffing out. She didn't read my order because when she brought my burger back it was wrong I'm deathly allergic to raw onions and it had them and the Pattie's were again chopped up like taco meat so I don't know what that was about and it was missing extras I paid for. At this point I was there over 5 hours in a full panic attack starving covered in grease stones and sauce stances and about to cry because this intimating raging man has been screaming swears at me and others for hours. So I just get stuck paying for food I couldn't eat or I would die because I was allergic and went home to eat a piece of toast that was all I had in the house at the time and I was now exceptionally late to my appointments. read more

I was becoming a regular customer at this Denny's. Sometimes breakfast, sometimes lunch or dinner. But after tonight and the way the manager treated my partner, baby and I we will go up the hill if we really need Denny's. Katherine or Katie was our server. We were sat by the usual guy with the mass of dark hair. He was perfectly polite, as he has always been. He took our drink order and came back with it. We were looking forward to the meal as my partner had been enjoying the steak special that is on Wednesdays. Katie came once to ask if we were ready. We asked for another few moments and she heaved an annoyed sigh before running off. She didn't come back for another 6 mins though we closed our menus and she passed our table a couple times. I got fed up so when she walked by the next time I said we're ready to order when you get the chance. Mind you the place wasn't any more or less busy than it ever is. She comes a few moments later takes our order. She comes back with bananas and acts mad when I ask for a coffee refill. She comes back with our food and our check. I ordered something I hadn't tried previously (nachos) and due to a difference in menu description and actual serving (listed ground beef served in a chilli sauce) I was unable to eat it. Katie never returned to ask how our meal was, and when my partner flagged her down and asked if I could order something else, she didn't get me a menu, ask if something was wrong with my nachos, just keeps leaning away from the both like she's trying to run away and so I asked for a salad. She brought the salad and the new ticket. No mention of the nachos, no attempt to refill a drink one (save the smoothies my partner kept ordering but drinks that should get refills weren't offered). I tried to eat the salad but it honestly looked like she had chosen every veg that was close to going spoilt for it and a tomato was rotten when I bit into it I had to rush to the bathroom and be sick. We went to leave and my partner asked for the nachos to be taken off as we hadn't touched them but a bite and the dark haired young man went and got Katie who rudely told my partner that the meat sauce was fine and she wasn't taking it off. Though I think that was a bad move as a manager we paid for it no big. But Katie made me feel very unwelcome. Katie needs to be reminded that customers don't have to choose your diner, and your service and atmosphere are what bring people back. It absolutely gasted my flabbers to hear this woman was the manager?!!! I will be contacting the store tomorrow to hopefully get in touch with Brittany, her supervisor. This mornings breakfast.... Denver omelette, hash browns and English muffin. Added two pieces briocche French toast. Comfort food done right and the same way every time! Stopped in and saw Tess too! This store offers delivery to the hotel near me. When I asked about the delivery service. The exhausted waitress informed me that it's only when we actually have the staff. And If it's not dark out. Sometimes it works in the morning if it's not busy. And there's a charger. She's was very discouraged about the service. She said she has to explain over and over why it's not available. I asked about the manager. Why was he putting his staff through this. She said it's corporate. I'm planning to contact your corporate office. I would like to see more staff at night. Good food, good atmosphere, great experience with serving staff... terrible ownership. We were cut off entering the parking lot by a terrible driver in a terrible car, who backed up and parked in the middle of the throughway and crossed traffic. We were almost hit by a car behind us because we couldn't move (didn't want to hit the guy) -- turns out it's the restaurant's owner. I enjoy this place, but I won't put any more money in his pocket. Our world needs fewer of these people in it. Dennys didn't let us down when we were hungry and Shari's had one server for the entire place. With a full bar and 6 video poker machines this Dennys is my kind of place. They have arguably the best T-bone steak in Lane County for $16.95. I was impressed at the cut and grill flavor. The salad was as fresh as you can imagine and the service was personable and quick. Every time I do an online order, they always forget something. I've called them out once for not adding the avocado I paid for. I ordered a grand slam burrito with avocado and asked them to toast the burrito. They forgot to add the avocado, which is an extra $1.29, and they ignored my request about toasting the burrito. My mother and I each ordered omlettes. I was about half done with mine, when I noticed a hair sticking out the side of mine, and embedded across the top. My mother had become sickened after seeing my hairy omlette, and was unable to continue eating her breakfast. I took a couple pictures of the hair in my omlette, then motioned for a waitress to come by and take a look. She summoned the manager, Mr. Chris Johnson. He looked closely at my omlette, then said "I'm so sorry about that. I'm gonna give you a 20% discount on your omlette." I told him that I didn't think I should pay anything for our entire breakfast, and he said "Well, you ate most of your meal, so you should pay for most of your meal." Before I could respond, he quickly took my plate behind the counter, where two waitresses, a cook and himself discussed my omlette. A few minutes later, he returned to our table with the bill. He said "I've removed your omlette from the bill." I again told him that I felt that I shouldn't have to pay anything for our breakfast. He said "Well, I'm not authorized to do that." Hey y'all. First off, going to a Dennys with a bar attached is next level. Can't believe it! Was so awesome, being able to drink and not worry about anything else until closing time, it was truly amazing. My beef with this spot, is they didn't give any kind of warning that liquor/beer had to be drank before the cut off point(which is different of us Californians) and some worker came and snatched my beer out of my hand and I couldn't finish it. Couldn't lay him out because that would be illegal so they get this shit review. Not cool not letting your inebriated customers know the cutoff was coming so they could finish their drinks and go home safely. This was the second time we have been to this Denny's recently. The first time, the service was bad. The server didn't know what kind of tea they had, or what the Hi-C orange drink on the menu was. No refills on water for the tea. It was chaotic, with one of the servers kids there following her around, which was weird having them stare at us while we ordered. Figured we would give it another chance. Somehow it managed to be worse. I ordered a dinner and a side salad, my husband ordered a breakfast that came with pancakes. First, they tried to give us the wrong order and tried to insist it was ours. We told them no it wasn't but we were still waiting for a salad. About 15 minutes later we got our food. No salad. No pancakes. At this point, they realize they forgot the salad and ignore my nevermind it now please. Halfway thru my dinner the plunked down the salad with a cheery here ya go! I did nibble at it because I had really wanted it, but that caused my dinner to get cold pretty quickly. No pancakes ever appeared. Could not get servers attention for the most part, though they would exhibit short bursts of false concern. This place seems to have no actual management. It's chaotic, with servers seeming to have no organization. It's not like it was busy or crowded. There was no real reason for the service to be so terrible.
