First, I was wrong about the sliders. These are chicken also. There is no other meat than chicken. They do five things. Seasoned Chicken breasts, deep fried breaded mozzarella, shakes, Mac and Cheese and French Fries, and some other odd, sides like kal-slaw. Ordering, I pick the lowest hot. I picked hot. And I like hot. So I picked hot. I had some difficulty with it. It was really very hot. Yet, there are three more levels, beyond that, which I can't imagine anyone eating. Mild was a bit, as my wife's mild was a bit too much for her, also too hot. Portions were good. We took home 1/2. For another meal. It is called Dave's Hot Chicken. So they are not lying. I give it , 5 stars, because it is exactly what it is saying it is. Start out with the mild. Low scale. Cause the chicken is cooked very well and tender. And then go from there, to find your level of Hot. :) read more

I love Dave's Hot Chicken. It's a great value and very satisfying. After a night of drinking, this place really hits the spot. We were staying nearby so we went to this location in Springfield. I'm so happy they have later hours. We had the Dave's #1which was 2 tenders with fries but we subbed out the fries for mac n cheese. Good choice. Creamy mac n cheese. Also had the Dave's #3 which was 1 tender and 1 slider with fries. We kept the fries on this order and they were pretty good as well. The fries come with a nice dipping sauce as well. I even used it for my chicken. The chicken portions are fairly good sized and have the right amount of hotness to it as you can choose your heat level. One of us did mild and the other medium. Well I was so excited for Dave's hot chicken in Springfield, Oregon to finally open. It felt like forever, watching the building being built. Then it took forever for the concrete to be poured. Then the parking stripes. We would drive by every day just to see if there was a sign saying open. By now you've already figured out, that me and my husband love chicken! I would say we are chicken connoisseurs. I felt the ambience there was super upbeat and friendly. It was bright and energetic. The staff was outgoing and made sure they came to our table to check on us not once, but twice. I loved their Customer Service. Very on top of every detail. I did find the chicken not as I expected. It was far spicier than I anticipated. Now that might be my fault. I should've probably read the reviews about the spice level. Be careful when you order or you will burn your lips off. The fries were the best fries I've had in ages! I try not to have fries too often because I used to have an addiction to them. I gave them up for almost 2 years, but at Dave's, I found myself ordering fries with my chicken tenders. I wish I wouldn't have done that because now I think about those fries every day! Please try Dave's Hot Chicken in Springfield, Oregon but I'm warning you to possibly look into the spice level and where you'd like to be. Probably might be more on the mild side. I'm never into dipping sauces. I like my chicken just simply chicken. But for some reason, I tested out the chicken sauce that comes with every chicken order. That was superb! I don't even want to know what the calorie range was for something so creamy and delicious. I can't figure out what it was made of, but it definitely was worth it for whatever calories it is. Very colorful building, added some much needed color and vibrancy to the area. We went through the drive through for a late dinner. The wait was not bad to get to the window, the wait for food was a little longer than expected but no big deal. The food was really good! I didn't expect such juicy chicken. It was flavorful and actually the whole family enjoyed it, I got mild and so did the kids...my husband opted for the two hottest menu options and he enjoyed it as someone who loves spice. A really great experience for a fast food type enterprise. We were greeted immediately when we entered, and although we took our time ordering, they were very patient. We seated and given our device to alert when I was ready. Our food was prepared quickly, and was very hot. The individual taking our order also took the time to come out to the dining room and see if we had everything that we needed , and to ask us how everything was.
