Manager had to take my order & brought my drinks. No waitress came to check on me. I saw food sitting on the shelf & wondered if it was mine. I got up to ask for my meal - the red headed waitress checked the computer & saw a plate on the shelf & said it would be right up. Still, took her time to grab my suspected meal from the shelf to me. Then she said my pancake is on the way. Food was cold also my omelette had wrong ingredients & thrown together ll- too hungry to send it back, I scarfed it & still no pancake. While the table next to me had their meal served with pancakes who ordered a good amount of time after me. Whom also had to get up & look for a waitress to order their meal. I looked up & saw pancakes on the shelf & noticed the two waitresses chatting it up not paying attention. I got up & asked for my pancakes. The gentleman sitting next to me mentioned to me "what an experience "- I replied "yup, really great", sarcastically. They looked at the shelf & saw the pancakes & apologized. The red headed waitress brought it to me & asked if I needed anything else. I asked for napkins. She had the other waitress bring me napkins & she asked if I needed anything else. Yes, please tell your manager my food was cold & I had to get up twice to ask for my food that was sitting on the ready shelf, plus my order was wrong. I honestly wasn't impressed with my experience. The food took a while to come out, and it was just the grand slam. It wasn't very busy at all; only one table was full. And when it finally came, it didn't feel it was fresh like it had been sitting there for a while. Worst experience ever! We dropped off our daughter at the airport and headed back to Tulare. Decided to go to Dennys because everything else was closed. This was about 5:30 in the morning. Nobody was in the restaurant accept two door dashers waiting for orders. My husband ordered breakfast with a side of toast because the meal he ordered didn't come with it. I ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings. There was an old guy cleaning who kept giving us dirty looks like he was pissed we were there. I bit into my burger and there was a weird texture. I spit it out and opened it up. The paper on the cheese was left on it. The cook didn't take the paper off the cheese. I was done. Of course they offered to remake it and said the cook was new. My husband never got his side of toast. I didn't eat, they didn't charge us for it but do you really need to be trained to take the cheese off the paper?? Disgusted!! read more

Omg! We travel all the time and love to stop at Dennys for scrambled eggs and French fries! This was the worst dennys ever!!!!!!! We have been to a lot of Dennys! Like a lot! In a lot of cities!! This was the worst! My hot tea tasted like coffee so I traded for a flat soda! We never got all of our sauces beacuse only one of the servers was working their butt off the other ones were gossipimg the whole time watching our server work:. The portions were way smaller than any other Dennys we have been to and the hostest tried to gaslight us and say it was the right serving size so I pulled out my phone and started showing him our Dennys plates from our other stops. It was bad! After we said something they just all stood around looking at us like they didn't just provide a less than stellar experience! There is probably like 30 errors in this beacuse I'm probably high on their coffee water when I wanted tea! I'm literally can see colors form the amount of caffeine I disnt ask to be In my system! We stopped by here for a pit stop on our way to somewhere else. We came in and it looked like a basic Denny's, nothing in particular stood out... just like a regular Denny's should be I suppose! They took our time and had us wait for probably only 5 minutes or so. When we sat she quickly got us our drinks and was ready to take our order, although we still took time to look over the menu. Alicia was our server and I think she was the sweetest server! She was very kind and had no problem responding to our requests. We don't eat pork so the plate we wanted, we wanted it substituted with another type of meat. She suggested a few other options that helped us find an even better plate, and the food was really good! We were surprised to be that satisfied with a Denny's. Our kids cleared their plates. We give our server 5 stars for service! Alicia's service when it came to our children was so good! She made little comments when she noticed them doing things like cutting their pancakes on their own and she made the visit personable. It was really appreciated and made our visit pleasant. We do not frequent this area often and I feel that her service helped us feel like stopping there out of all other places was worth it! 3 stars because there were no paper towels in the bathroom to dry your hands, and the big stall had wet toilet paper on the seat. There was an employee in the bathroom and as my kids used the restroom they had noticed no paper towels but nobody ever came back to fill it up. We just used napkins we had at the table. Other than the bathroom we had zero complaints. The food was nice and hot and the pancakes were the fluffiest pancakes I ever had lol.. I would like to know the recipe! At 8 am on a Wednesday morning before the World Ag Expo this has to be the busiest Denny's I have ever been to. The restaurant was full and I got a seat near the cashier. There was a constant stream of customers and parking was over flowing into the other parking lots. I ordered the Santa Fe skillet breakfast and a coffee. It came out super fast. The eggs over easy was done perfectly, but the skillet bell pepper, onions , potatoes, cheese and sausage was sad. Definitely pre cooked. Service was excellent considering the amount of patrons vs servers. The parking lot is not big enough if the restaurant is full. Worse experience by far. The place smelled of sewer really bad. They were closing at 1030 that night. I asked why and the guy said they were having the sewer lines cleaned. Honestly it needed to be closed at that time too. When we sat down at the table there was a dirty bandaid stuck to the condiments basket, when I brought it to the servers attention he apologized and moved us to a table close to the restroom. I went in on a Monday afternoon. I was on my way home, returning from a funeral of a friend and passing through Tulare. When I went in, all the staff was busy and assisting others. I asked if I could take the seat at the first entry to the right. They accommodated me and took my drink order. I ordered an omelette, fruit and coffee. Dennys is always consistent usually in everyone of the restaurants. You know that you are going to get a good meal for the value. However, to my surprise, this time, they deliver the omelette and fruit and the coffee and I was blown away. I usually dine at fine dining restaurants but, still love an occasional coffee shop at the right time. The omelette looked good, but I took the first bite and could not believe it. This Chef, took the time to sauté everything perfectly before it went into the omelette. Everything was perfectly caramelized and sautéed to perfection. So full of flavor, every bite was heaven. I actually ate the entire thing! I normally eat, perhaps half of an omelette. But then, I took a bite of the fruit and every single bite of the fruit was fresh and perfectly ripe. The fruit was heaven also! I have to honestly say, I have never had such great food at a Denny's or any coffee shop as this one! I was entirely glad I stopped at this Denny's in Tulare. Also, I lost my jacket there and the staff found it for me. Truly great staff and management. I just had to give a review on yelp for this amazing experience. I've been a repeat customer for decades. Last week they messed up my to-go order pretty badly. They gave me chicken instead of prime rib on my salad. They also completely skipped my order of bacon cheddar tots. That's $13 they screwed me out of. I wish I could take my $10 tip back. We called the shift manager immediately when we got home and she said "sorry we are out of prime rib and bacon cheddar tots." So they knew my order was wrong but didn't say a word when I picked up the food nor did they offer to adjust my bill. The shift manager was no help and said she would "leave a note for the store manager to call back the next day." We waited four days and never heard from the store manager. So we called him and he was just rude. He didn't offerer to refund our money or financially compensate us in any manner. They still owe me 13 bucks. I won't be going back here. read more

If I could, I would definitely give this place a -10. lol. Let's start off with my daughter, my son and I went out for breakfast today. Yuck. The place is not clean as there are spider webs all over the walls, fixtures and the roof. No one should ever eat here period. I moved one seating area to relocate to another just to have the same nasty experience of falling webs into my food. We packed our food to go and I threw mines out. I ordered the Moons over my Hammy and the bread was so greasy and soggy that I ended up having to make my own toast and transfer what I could over from the soggy bread. My hash browns were also super soggy and small in portion. My girls ordered sides of pancakes, one stack of double berry banana strawberry pancakes and one stack of short berry dreams pancakes. Well guess what we didn't get with our order!? All of the fruit that is shown to go on the top of the pancakes!!! Talk about false advertising. My daughter placed an order tonight through door dash. First off we ordered a family dessert that was supposed to come with ice cream. No ice cream came with our dessert so now all we have is an apple crisp. She was busy talking her life away at the register which made her forget. So many issues with tonights service. I wanted to order a meal that came with the soup of the day... And since it was freezing out, I thought a hot bowl of soup sounded fantastic. Our server told me they stopped serving soup after 10 and I was 6 minutes late. I ordered a salad instead with Italian dressing, which was brought out with ranch instead. My husband's meal came with toast which was brought to him after he had finished his meal. I ordered a turkey southwest style sandwich which didn't taste like southwestern anything and was very dry. Our server never came back to refill our drinks so I couldn't even finish my dry sandwich because it made me so thirsty. We waited for our check while a group of staff just BS'd across from us while my husband said "excuse me" 5 times until one of them asked what we needed. Ashley (who wasn't our server but came to our rescue) took our check and rang us up. She seemed to be the only one who cared about anything going on in that restaurant. This one was actually much cleaner than the one on Mooney I usually go to. It was maybe 9ish in the morning. The server was quite helpful and checked up plenty of times on us. The food when it showed up to the table was exactly to order and still hot. Now don't expect everything to taste or look like what you would get at a big diner. Ive been coming in this dennys for a long time. And I've notice the last 30 days or so the temperature in the restaurant has been as cold inside as it is outside. Myself and other customers have ask the staff if they could raise the heat a bit. They say the heater dont work. With being next to a very busy freeway this should be a warm and safe place to come inside to relax and enjoy a meal. Tulare Dennys Manager get off your rear end and take better care of your store.
