This place is so cute and nostalgic . We wanted to grab a bite to eat before we headed back home and this place popped up . When we walked in we were greeted right away and waited less than 5 minutes for a table . I got the chicken sandwich with buffalo fries and a Diet Coke with strawberry syrup . Overall I enjoyed the food . The chicken had good flavor to it and it wasn't dry . The buffalo fries were super yummy and I also enjoyed how you can add in your own syrup . What a hidden gem! The inside was very retro. I enjoyed everything on the walls, old episodes on the tvs. The staff was nice & helped us through the menu. The loaded fries were really good! I can't believe it's been 4 years since I've been here! Was craving lunch this afternoon and came to see what spots had any recent good reviews; Good Times was one of them. Glad I chose to come here today! Felt like getting delivery, food came hot and fresh, soda was a little less carbonated but still had really great flavor. Burger was sooooo good! Got the Great Balls of Fire and added some bacon to it! Patty was juicy, lettuce and tomato were fresh, pepper jack cheese was a great choice for this burger and the bacon was the cherry on top. The Buffalo Chips are an absolute sleeper! Best substitute for fries, almost like waffle fries and homemade potato chips had a baby. Crispy, flavorful and delicious! Make sure to get a side of the house made ranch for dipping. Love how even after 4 years this place still has the ultimate customer service. They still wrote a sweet note on my bag and it's the little things like that, that make me wanna come back, they truly care about their customers. Ambiance is always great when you come to eat here. Old school diner vibes! Love it! Such a gem of a restaurant on Mooney Blvd, shouldn't be skipped on if you're looking for some incredible burgers, plus they have breakfast and tons of other delicious items to choose from on their menu if you're not in a burger mood. Good Times Café is exactly what the name says--it's always a good time here. The only thing that throws me off is that this diner (that serves breakfast!) doesn't open until 9. That's late for a breakfast spot, but once they open, it's worth it. The food is solid all around. Breakfast is excellent--the thick-cut bacon is my favorite, and the cup of chili is the perfect side to go with pretty much any meal. The burgers and fries are also really good, with that classic diner flavor that hits the spot. The ambiance is pure old-school diner, and the service is top-notch. The staff is friendly, the food comes out fast, and the plates are put together so well they almost look like art. I love this place, and if you give it a try, you probably will too. read more

The food is amazing!! We had the jailhouse rock burger. The soft roll with grilled veggies and melted cheese was pure indulgence of fine flavors!! Sadly they will not be selling it no more. The menu has changed but the food and service is great. The reason why we we're able to purchase the jailhouse burger is because the picture was still on the napkin holder. This is a cute little 50s style diner. The walls are covered with memorabilia and the waitresses are wearing poodle skirts. Our waitress was very atrocious and friendly. First, we split a banana strawberry milkshake. There were three of us splitting it because we each just wanted a small bit, but it was even less than we expected. They only brought us the glass, they didn't bring the remainder in the tin like diners typically do. It tasted great though. I had the BLT with avocado on sourdough. It was pretty good, but the bacon and the bread were pretty greasy. I also had a side salad, which was tasty and fresh, a pretty standard diner side salad. Overall we had a fun meal. read more

For juicy burgers and delicious fries this place is a must! I didn't know this place existed until I casually started searching diners. The meat quality was amazing, nice juicy thick patty, not over cooked like most burger places. They also use Harris Ranch beef. The inside of this place takes you back to a classic diner spot. The place is cute especially if you love the 50's /60's. The food was ok, not anything crazy special. The chili beans were homemade so it's better just as a chili and not in your fries in my personal experience. The staff was super seeet and was on top of our service. New to Visalia and was looking for a place to take the family that came to visit. Thought the old school look would be cool, and I'm a big burger guy. Got the Wake up Little Suzi with garlic fries. Big fan of burgers that include egg. Reminds me of the Royal Robin from Red Robin. Pretty good solid burger would definitely order again. Garlic fries were fine. The service is always fast and friendly, the prices are good for the plate full of food you get, and the food itself is always excellent. We all have our favorites; burgers, chicken burgers, and sammiches- everything is delicious. And their sides! SO good. While their garlic fries are bombdiggity, I HIGHLY recommend the Buffalo Chips! They're like rippled, deep fried potatoes, and They... Are... Amazeballs! Dip 'em in some ranchy ranch (or ketchup- you really can't go wrong with these things), and your taste buds will thank you. Last week was my first and probably last time at Good Times. My husband and I went in for a late lunch after deciding to try something new. I first ordered an iced tea which I sent back due to it tasting like coffee. My husband ordered a burger with buffalo chips and I ordered a BLT with fries. The coating on the buffalo chips had almost completely fallen off and they had no flavor, and both sandwiches weren't anything to write home about. Our waitress was fine and the ambiance was a little in the cramped side. Our tab was over $50 not even including the tip! We could have gone to Wimpys or something similar and received twice the amount of food for half the price. Very expensive for what we received. I think we will be sticking to our normal local spots. read more

upon entering this café diner, you feel transported back in time with the retro music of the 1950's-1960's playing throughout. great fun! our server, dressed as a 1950's waitress was welcoming, friendly & efficient. despite how busy it was, our food arrived very quick. my husband ordered a burger & chili fries and was very happy with how his meal turned out. he said it was the best burger he'd had in a long time. i had ordered their fish & chips. their fries tasted fresh, crisp & perfect but i have to say i was disappointed in the cod; the outside was a bit soggy but looked burnt so that was strange. the inside of cod was soggy too. the only thing that saved my fish & chips were the lemon & tartar sauce masking the sogginess. read more

The food is casual Americana but with a unique spin; everything is named after 1950s pop culture icons, Really cool! We love that the food portions are always generous, food quality is on point and always has excellent additions depending on the time of year. Retro 50s diner vibe. Super friendly attentive staff. Onion rings were Delicious. Crispy and delicate. Hubby and I both agreeded they made the whole trip work the visit. Mr's Hunk of Burning Love burger was massive. I loved my Hula Burger. Both had perfectly cooked bacon and all the ingredients were excellent quality. Chili is spicy, so beware. This place is such a little gem. Stopped here on Saturday and was seated quickly. Our waiter was so nice and friendly. I don't remember his name, I'm so sorry about that because he was so awesome!!! He really made every customer there feel special and he was on top of everyone's needs. He was great!! My friend and I both got dessert first! Of course!! Chocolate shake for me. Vanilla malt for her. Oh. My. Goodness! These were amazing!!!! So deelish! They really hit the spot and kept us wanting more after we had eaten every bite/drink. Wow, let's start on how this is a classic dining place. The place is super clean. I like customer service because you are greeted and welcomed as soon as you walk in; you can pick any table you want to sit at, and when it gets busier, they will seat you. When someone gets up from their table, they clean it immediately.  There's a 20-30 minute wait from when you order your food to when you receive your food. It might seem like a long time, but it's worth the wait!!  For my appetizer, I got "say cheese,"  and omg it was so crunchy and so flavorful it blew my socks away on how amazing the mozzarella sticks; it was nice and golden brown, and it has a super lovely cheese pull that is next level!! I forgot to ask for the ranch, but it didn't need any ranch, and it was not dry at all!! It is one of the best mozzarella sticks you can ever get, and it is worth every penny!! 10 out of 10 I love that they give lots of veggies to decorate your burger, and they don't charge for all the veggies. I didn't use all the veggies in mine. The sandwich I got was the king, and I wanted to take my big bite right away before I decorated my burger. It was one of the best burgers I have ever had; it was so juicy, the bacon was crunchy, it had a unique cheese flavor, and it was sweet from the sauce with the fantastic ranch. When I added my veggies, it was a game changer with all the fresh ingredients, making it ten times better. There is nothing terrible about this sandwich, and it is an 11 out of 10   I substituted the fries for onion rings for my meal, and it was so crunchy. Every bite had a pic of onion, the perfect amount of batter, nice and golden crispy. It was one of the best onion rings I have ever had in my life; they weren't dry at all, it was perfect exactly how they came out 10 out of 10   Something that didn't hit about this place was their love me tenders. They were so dry and horrible; it was hard as a rock. They were not edible based on their hardness; they were a lot of batter. Ranch can't solve the dryness of these chicken tenders. They have good flavor, but I wouldn't recommend them!! 2 out of 10, I have gotten the loaded fries and something else that didn't hit because the fries weren't crunchy at all, they were all hard, they weren't sauced up all the way, they were cold it was hard as a rock, some good flavor with the seasoning that's the reason why I'm giving them a 6 out of 10 for dessert I had a banana milkshake. It was one of the best banana milkshakes out there. The fresh banana has the perfect amount of sweetness, and the ice cream is super creamy. It is one of the best milkshakes I have ever had in my entire life!!  10 out of 10 I returned for a second day and got the "wake up little Suzi" because it was interesting that it said "rubbed with coffee." I tried a weird PB burger in the past and never thought it would be good, so since I was interested in what it had, I had to get that burger. The funny thing is I didn't taste any coffee in this burger. The burger was delicious and juicy, and the seasoning on the beef patty was excellent. It has that nice cheese pull on another level, the lovely and fresh veggies this burger had were terrific, and the bacon was nice and crispy, not too soft or hard. It was perfect and phenomenal; the running egg hitting my mouth brightened this burger. It had lots of flavors, and it was expensive but worth it. It didn't hit like "The King," but I would give it a 9 out of 10 ‍  So, I will be a returning customer since I have already gone two times. I will go back again to try the whole menu read more

Years living in this area and I never knew that they served breakfast.. we always just want to come for their great burgers and Buffalo chip fries but when we heard we had to come try the breakfast it did not disappoint. The lady who helped us deserves a 5 star review for service! She was kind and attentive. My daughter ordered a kid's meal. The corn dog was warm from the exterior but completely cold from the inside. The server quickly remade it for her and we appreciate that. My clam chowder sadly tasted like sour spoiled milk. I told the man that was at the register & he said he'd let the kitchen staff know. My son had a hamburger that he enjoyed and said the buffalo fries were the best fries he's had! There was an overcharge on our receipt but was quickly corrected. The restaurant is very clean & has entertaining decor and music. I do see many outstanding reviews for other menu items. Who knows! We might be back to try other meals.
