I decided with all the glowing reviews to give this place a shot to estimate my daughter's car. She is in college and got a use car for almost nothing but it needed paint and she saved up a few bucks to get it painted. She is not looking for a show piece just brighten it up. Physically the car is almost perfect, a door ding here and there but the paint is badly faded. This is where the body shop lost all my faith but received 2 stars.... We walked in and a younger man introduced himself and walked out to the car. As we approached, he took a look from 10 feet away not even walking around and said "full car paint?", we said yes....wait for it..."that's a $10,000 job", somewhat in dismay we just stood there. He continues, "once we get into it cold be north of that $10,000 depending on what we find." There is several hours of prep work and removal of all lights, etc. so we have a lot of work on this" Now remember this car is 21 yrs old, doesn't need any body work except maybe a door ding or 2. I didn't expect a Miracle Auto or Earl Sheib quote but I do expect to be treated as an intelligent adult. It was a great lesson for my daughter to not be like him, thus the 2 stars for the teachable moment I could share with my daughter. We did go to several other places and the quotes were high as expected, highest was $4887, but at the end of the day we ended up with a competitive quote around $2100 at an independent shop who actually spoke to my daughter not me about what to expect and what he could do and not do to set her expectations. I know that this was just their way of passing on the business. I don't fault a body shop that doesn't want to work on a small job it's their business and maybe they have more than they can handle but If you don't want to just paint a car simply be honest and say that this isn't our lane we wouldn't be competitive, etc. Honesty always the best policy! read more

On a Saturday I sent some pictures of my damaged bumper through the link on Yelp. The next day (yes, Sunday) I received an estimate for $595. The week before I had four other estimates ranging from $985 to $1600. My favorite line item from those other estimates was $50 for "COVID supplies." My favorite comment was "You can find someone who will do this for $600 but we have to charge more because we stand behind our work." In other words, they knew it was a $600 job but figured they could milk it for more because I'd fall for their shtick I guess. Based on the flawless reviews I decided to give Dent Pro Colors a try. Brought my car in on Wednesday morning with a promise to have it back by Friday. At noon the next day I get a call that it's done. I did some minor body work back in the day so I know what to look for. The work was impeccable, they even fixed a couple of minor dings that weren't in the estimate.
