The vibe in the shop is so welcoming -- cool, creative, and full of that true SoCal skate spirit. You can tell they really care about the community and the next generation of skaters. I demo'd a firewire board last weekend at salt creek, and the van left with my drivers license before I could return the board. I had no way to contact them or anything, but I remembered that the Ripcurl store sometimes has that van there but I don't think they they had anything to do with the current demo event I was partaking in... Anyway so I called around asking what to do, and finally reached Matt, who went above and beyond by taking my number down, getting in contact with the guy driving the Firewire Demo van, and having him drop off my Drivers License at the Ripcurl store, and said I could come in anytime to return the board and take my DL. He literally saved me a massive headache and 3 hours of driving down to the Firewire store in San Diego (far from my home) to get my DL back from them had Matt not been the middle man and handled the issue swiftly. He has always been super nice and helpful when I'm in the store (just like all the employees) but he really went above and beyond this time and I'm extremely grateful!

At one point I was even told that if I wanted my payment, I could take the matter to small claims court. I create and sell my work as a retirement hobby, and I trusted this store to handle the agreement fairly. Based on my experience, I would encourage other vendors to be cautious and make sure they have clear terms in writing before consigning items here. My hope is simply that others avoid the frustration I've gone through.

Even when I contacted them, letting them know they were Christmas presents, they shipped the t-shirts USPS ground on 12/16/25. These shirts a without question the best tee shirts I've ever worn and give the fit I like. They do run large and make that very clear on many spots on the website to use the sizing charts and tell you how to use them, they have also been very responsive to any questions, if I needed to call. I will say if you're looking for lightweight poly blends these are not for you, but if you want the best 100% thick cotton, wide crew neck that holds its shape, these are the best I've ever found. As far as value vs quality I would give them an A+ because these shirts will last many years. Just take your time with the sizing or give them a call. I went from wearing an XL in Alstyle Classic with are no longer made to wearing a medium Classic Fit in the HeavyWeight collection. The Alstyle Classic was a good shirt but doesn't compare to these.
