This place is pricey but of course it's the airport. I came here out of necessity not luxury. I fell on ice on the way to the airport and the idea of sitting in one spot for an hour and a half was scary. I decided to check this place out. I've seen this establishment on several occasions as I exclusively fly out of terminal C. They only offer chair massage. I had a high quality massage here. It was great and much needed. The therapist listened to my acute concern and addressed it. She cared that I felt better. They ask about your flight information too. I assume that is to make sure the service is well timed. I would return here if it were needed. I wish the cost was more reasonable.

My first time taking advantage of a delay by having my nails done. I had to wait 15 min. They took me on time. The place is a little dated. Madeline did a great job. She also was friendly. We had a nice chat. I was very pleased with the experience and the result! If I have the opportunity again I ll take it. I chose #really red from Essie.

This was a perfect way to pass some time during a long layover. The foot massage and soak was just what our feet needed after a long wonderful, but busy walking vacation! They also offer mani/pedis, neck massages and shampoos! read more

Robert is excellent. As good as the 5 star NYC spa massages. He made a crazy airport seem far away. Get on his schedule when you arrive, he's busy and I had to book and come back 1 1/2 puts later for my appointment. read more

Robert does an excellent chair massage, and its a great idea right before a long flight. I slept really well in possibly the worst airplane seat I've ever experienced, probably mostly due to that relaxing massage! I have a regular massage therapist at home, and I was very impressed with how much tension Robert was able to relieve from my shoulders, mid back, and neck in 15 minutes in the chair. I was in the gate 110 location, which is out in the open, but it doesnt take long before you forget all about the hubbub around you! I will be back! read more

This was my second attempt to actually get service from the Spa but was turned away (for a second time)! Rude (if not flippant) welcome, the "appointment" model (which is stupid for an airport) and linear pricing for a massage (no discounts as you get more) makes this a LOW rating place to go. If you're at EWR and need a massage, just do some stretching exercises and wait until the next airport. read more

Though extremely overprice (think double the cost of what you normally pay), that is to be expected at an airport spa. I had the loveliest lady, Lysa (sp?) who gave me a great manicure and was as sweet as can be. The entire staff was friendly even when I messed up my nail while drying and another lady kindly fixed it. Definitely a good spot for some pampering pre-flight, especially when you're in dire need of a mani. read more

Went in for a emergency polish change after a flight, I guess they were very slow because I did not have to wait. Picked a color and started right away. Job was efficient and done nicely, a bit pricey. The one thing that bothered me the most was how cold and unfriendly the staff was. Im from the south and I'm used to everyone being so friendly. Like I said job was done nice and fast, just lacked any smiles from these ladies. read more

Luckily I had the sense to not get my toes done. My friend got the laziest most unsanitary pedicure. Reused dirty paper towel etc. To top it all off I was on the phone saying I didn't love my nails and the lady over heard me and instead of trying to rectify she went to the other lady doing my friends nails to talk about me in front of my friend!!! Never again, the person who said she comes here from upstate has clearly never been to a respectable salon.

I was really suffering and had less than a half hour before boarding my flight to Denver. My neck and left shoulder really hurt and the pain had been building for three days. Carlos straightened me out in 15 minutes! He knew just what to do. He applied pressure points. Had me hold my breath each time. He systematically released my cramps and spasms like a safecracker. At the end, he applied something like Icy Hot, showed me some stretches that would keep my neck from seizing up and gave me a few other tips (Ice five minutes on five minutes off for an hour). I didn't get to do the latter because I was in row 24 of a crowded flight, but it didn't matter. I am healed! Carlos is terrific, heroic, a true pro! Departure Spa gets a hearty 5-Star review from me! read more

I never thought I would enjoy hanging out at the airport for 3 hours can be fun, but thanks to this great spa I actually didn't want to leave :) The staff is outstanding, amazing at what they do and just give a great comfortable feeling. I got a great back massage followed by the best pedicure and foot massage. I felt like a new person by the time I left the airport. After traveling a whole day that was the best thing that I did for myself. If you have more then an hour to burn at the airport I would definitely recommend doing it here, worth every penny. read more

Essie and OPI colors along with more environmentally friendly options. They use collagen socks and don't soak your feet so it's a wee bit tender when they remove cuticles. Terminal C now has a great massage therapy choice! If you have tension and are experiencing back/shoulder pain, ask for Carlos and a deep tissue massage. Wow, fantastic. He released the tension and knots and I now have an increased range of motion and no more pain. Made the international flight much easier to endure and I'm now sleeping through the night! I'm a sucker for foot massages so I had a 30 min service (the most they could offer) and I loved every minute of it. Quick in and out!
