Went here with friends for dinner, had to try it out. It's BYOB and has plenty of parking. It's just off then service road, you can't approach direct from 46 East. Our server Atahan was very attentive and Helpful. We were definitely not rushed. The place gets very loud from being busy and I feel that's always a good sign. Everything we ate we enjoyed and was delicious. The onion kebab was piping hot and the Coban Kavurma was especially tasty. If you want delish food in a great atmosphere this is the place to go! Our sever recommended the Antep Katmer for desert and that was a great suggestion. Will return... The decor was nicely done as well.

My second time reviewing this fantastic restaurant but I just had to add more. This time we ordered all our food through DoorDash. Despite the drive the food was hot and fresh as if we were eating in person. The chicken Adana kebab was so flavorful and juicy, along with the Turkish meatballs. Another 5/5 from me.

Visited this restaurant for the first time. I will say that the food was good. Everything had good flavor. We were a group of 6 and we had 2 onion bowls, a mix grill for 3, kiymali pide, findik lahmacun, phyllo scrolls, and some drinks. The service overall was good but we were visiting at the end of eid so it was busy. So the food temperatures were not the same. Everything came out hot except the mix grill which had the most food and food variety. We also had ask about 1 dish that we ordered and never received, which they thought was given to us. The restaurant itself is large with seating to accommodate, the decor is done nicely. I would visit again because the food tasted good. But advocate for yourself if there is a problem.

I have multiple customers in the area so I'm consistently in Wayne, NJ and recently discovered Dervish. The staff is outstanding and the food supports the amazing staff they have. I've been here multiple times in a short span. I love mediterranean food and dervish is one of the best restaurants in this category. The prices are completely fair restaurant is very large. Can host multiple times. I tried my whole things on the menu and I will continue doing so whenever I'm in the area. A great find!

Walking into 100% instagram vibes might give you pause because how could the food possibly be good? Well, it is. I got the lamb chops cooked medium rare and they were so tender, juicy, and flavorful. Cooked perfectly and no gamey-ness at all. Spicy onion salad and rice completed the experience. Wonderful hummus with veggies for dip as well as cucumber tomato salad. Love that they label gluten free items and also have a large drink list (including mocktails like virgin mojitos).

Visited 04/17/2025 Great ratings and love of all things Mediterranean brought us here and I'm sure we'll be going back. We have a couple of great Mediterranean restaurants near and far. Dervish is new, so we just had to try it. Our server (Muhi) was very friendly and informative. Sold us on a dessert that we didn't need... but was pretty wonderful. Everything we had and shared was very good. The hummus, Tabouleh, Lebni and the mixed grill were all dishes we would order again. The Pistachio Kunefe that Muhi talked us into was pretty amazing. (after googling what was in Pistachio Kunefe, I still don't know what the recipe is, except to say it was amazing.. Topped with a 'firm/chewy' kind of 'ice cream' that will have me wanting to order it again next time we visit. Yes, it is a BYOB.

The food was flavorful. The different spices and sauces worked well together. Our server was very honest and helped us navigate this new to us cuisine. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The pink trees inside were lovely. I don't remember the names of everything we ate but it was delicious.

Dervish is delicious. That truly could be the whole review since the food speaks for itself. I've been to the cedar grove location but when the craving stuck but no reservations were available, we decided to try the Wayne location. This was just as great as the original location! The restaurant is beautiful and very well kept. A lot of thought went into this design. The food was outstanding. The Turkish pizza is also a must for me here. Crunchy, flavorful, and satisfying. We also split the mixed meat platter for 2. This is the move if you want to try a little bit of everything on the menu. Everything was tender and cooked to perfection. The best part is the piping hot bread they keep bringing out during your meal. And BYOB which is a major plus!

Looking for new restaurants to try n stumbled upon dervish. We went to the Wayne location. The location is a lil tricky as it's next to quality inn on Rt 45 East n can only gain access thru the Rt 46 east service road right after willowbrook mall. Quite a big Lovely clean nicely decorated restaurant w friendly welcoming staff. Plenty of parking. We had the lentil soup which was ok. Needed some salt n pepper. Also had the Beyran soup. It's a meat soup w shredded lamb n rice. Something different n tasted good although it needed salt n pepper. We also tried the Muhammara n fried calf liver. Muhammara was dry n disappointing. The calf liver was tasty n cane w a red cabbage Cole slaw n onions n cucumbers. Was good, generous portions, For entrees we had the sultans delight n lamb gyro, the sultans delight was v good w chunks of lamb n mashed eggplant. The lamb gyro was good but disappointing as there was no yoghurt sauce to go w it. Asked the waiter n he said it doesn't come w any sauce but we requested the yoghurt sauce n the red sauce n he obliged. Portions are big so we have leftovers for Sunday lunch. And maybe Monday lunch too. Noticed on the check that 18% service charge was added. We were just 2. V unusual. Not sure why they do it as I have not seen this in any other restaurants. Tx u for a nice dinner.

Both Dervish restaurants are great but Wayne location ambience is definitely alot nicer. The service is always great. Food is delicious best Mediterranean food in nj for sure. Highly recommended.

Amazing authentic Turkish food. Great friendly service. Beautiful ambiance! A must visit Mediterranean restaurant in the continent! Ask for the specialty filet mignon grape leaf wrap with cheddar sauce! It's out of this world!

The food is 10/10 always. Highly recommend the meat sharing platter. Not only is the presentation of food beautiful, but it's delicious as well. The decor is beautiful as well. Dimly lit, with lovely lighting. The service is 20/10. Everyone is so helpful, checking in throughout your meal.

Service was great! Food was amazing! We got the salad and mix grill for 3 (although we were 4, the waiter recommended 3 because it was a good amount of food) and it did not disappoint (view photos). It Turkish cuisine, flavors were spot on! Simply delicious! We had left overs for lunch next day.

Topping choices were being freshly filled when my friend & I arrived. I chose romaine with chopped egg, avocado, buffalo chicken, mandarin oranges, & roasted cauliflower with balsalmic vinaigrette dressing mixed in. Everything was fresh & very tasty and the portion was quite filling. My friend chose a salad off the menu, which was also made on the spot, and she was able to choose an alternate dressing to her liking. This fast casual choice hit the spot today and fueled us well & comfortably to enjoy some post lunch shopping.

The service was alright-- they weren't the friendliest but they were doing their job. I ordered the mandarin chicken salad. It had oriental sesame dressing which was very sweet, but good. However, at one point it got a bit too sweet which made the salad hard to finish. The chicken tasted alright, nothing about it stood out to me. Something in the salad also tasted a bit fishy-- not sure if it was the dressing or any of the toppings. I don't like the taste of seafood so I was not a huge fan of the taste. The overall salad was just average and wasn't special in any way. I'm not sure if I'll come back. Although the portions are big, I am still paying $10 for pretty average salad.

Besides the fact that you get attentive service, the food is incredible! Fresh ingredients, really traditional dishes/recipes. Everything tastes homemade and I genuinely wonder if someone's (yaya) is doing all the cooking in the back. Also? "Generous portions" (as they say on their website) is exactly right! Best past is all their batter is Gluten Free (yup!). Everything also tastes very light. I didn't get anything fried but have a feeling if you do order fried foods, it won't be bathing in oil. The ambiance, while modest by American standards, I believe is authentically Greek-- unassuming, highlighted with images and elements of Greece, and really, you come with loved ones and just eat and enjoy. I mean, that IS the Greek culture in its truest form, no? Good selection of wines and they also serve a menu of cocktails.

There is a small little parking lot that can fit 4-5 cars right off the main road. Inside was decorated with cute Christmas decor, and the domestic violence scene from Godfather Part 1 casually playing on the TV while I'm trying to eat my food. Good variety of options of appetizers, small shared plates, pizza, fresh pasta, and entrées to choose from our group decided to split the popular pizza. Then everyone offended for themselves - our table ordered the gnocchi with pesto and chicken Milanese, chicken parmigiana with penne, Arancini, and the "focaccia"/house garlic bread. The Arancini was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and luscious on the inside. The pizza was a perfect sweet and savory combo of burrata, prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. The pesto was a bit thin and ate a little soupier than I prefer. Buyer beware with the focaccia - although it's called focaccia, it's also listed under the pizzas so it was served thin and crispy like a pizza rather than thick and fluffy like we had been expecting. I would absolutely return again to try all the other dishes, especially the shared plates, different pizzas, and other fresh pasta offerings.
