    Their truck

It's a food truck; so it's almost impossible to check in unless you're in Wayne New Jersey or parts of Connecticut. They have an app that you can use to find out where they will be next. It seems a little pricey, considering it's a food truck, but you do get your moneys worth. No surimi here. It's all whole chunks of claw and leg meat in the lobster roll. See photo. Ambience? It Depends on where they park.

They had a truck sitting outside of the Trader Joe's in Millburn, so popped over to see what we could try. Clam chowder was on the watery end and didn't have too much clam. Lobster Bisque wasn't as good as the trader Joe's version, although it did have a claw in it. Connecticut style was warm with butter and lemon, which was okay but the bread was on the weak side. And not all that warm. Maine style was cold with mayo but the mayo only made its way halfway through (One of the few times I can say they don't have enough mayo in America). Both lobster rolls were a little over $20 and were filled with crab meat from the claw but no tail meat all. Is it worth it? For me, no. I've had better, richer soups even from Trader Joe's right there, and the bread disappointed for me on the rolls. Legal Seafood in the Short Hills Mall does a better job in my opinion. For more than $60 bucks all-in, I would recommend going somewhere else. Also I don't appreciate that the tip defaults to 18%, definitely not worth it.

I make it a point to order a lobster roll any time I see it on a menu, so I've tried more than my fair share. This was my first opportunity to try Cousins, and what a disappointment! I would say it was a solidly average roll, except that it was so small.

Just happened to stumble upon this great food truck. We were driving along 23 S. when I saw a black colored food truck. It was Cousins Maine Lobster. We stopped to pick up a Connecticut lobster roll- Cost $18.95. This lobster roll was one of the best! There were quite a few people waiting to pick up lobster rolls and other lobster goods. The food truck menu included lobster bisque, clam chowder, shrimp and lobster tacos, Lobster grilled cheese, Lobster and Chowder tots and Lobster Tail! We asked the woman how long they've been at this location. She told me they were leaving after 7 PM tonight. After that, they would be going down to the Trenton/Philadelphia area. The woman told me that Cousins is a franchise. I did notice that Shark Tank appeared to have some association with Cousins. Anyway, if anyone has a chance to try Cousins Maine Lobster truck, you're in for a wonderful treat!

This is my second time eating from this truck. The first time I had the lobster grilled cheese sandwich, delicious, today tried the lobster tacos and those 3 tacos were delicious. They don't skimp on the lobster either. Follow them on FACEBOOK to find out their daily location won't regret it.

The lobster was definitely fresh and high quality. We got the lobster tots that were fantastic and has a great amount of lobster in it. The lobster roll was on the small side but good quality

Beautiful new truck. Service was just ok. Pricey for basic lobster grilled cheese. Experience was a bit underwhelming.

Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing due to poor service. Our server, a shorter male who I believe was named Ricardo, took our order. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and yuca fries. After waiting 25 minutes, I asked a staff member serving steak to check on the order, and he agreed. After 45 minutes, I followed up again with another staff member, a woman with reddish hair in a ponytail, and asked her to check with the kitchen. After waiting over an hour with no update, when she passed back, I informed her that I no longer wanted the food, and she acknowledged my request. Throughout this entire time, our server never once checked in on us. When he finally came to the table, I confirmed that my order had been canceled, and he said yes. He then proceeded to tell us that cooking takes time and that we needed to be patient. I dine out regularly and understand reasonable wait times, but the lack of communication and follow-up was unacceptable. The comment made by our server felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially given the circumstances. Overall, this experience did not meet expectations, and I will likely just stick to New York in the future.

My husband put our name in for a party of four and gave his phone number for the text notification but the hostess accidentally entered us as a party of two. Thankfully, the table that was ready was large enough for four but it could have caused an issue. As a note, she remembered and realized she mistyped it and apologized immediately. Our waiter was friendly, though the service had a few hiccups. My chicken quesadilla (which I ordered as my entrée) came out well before everyone else's meals. When boxing leftovers, he asked whether I wanted the sides, sour cream, and salsa included. I said no, but when I opened the container the next day, everything had been packed together anyway. Food: The chicken quesadilla was delicious and generously filled with shredded chicken. Drinks: The frozen strawberry margarita was excellent. It was filled to the brim and stronger than what you typically get at a restaurant. Overall, I'm chalking the service issues up to it being a busy Saturday night. We'd still happily return to Jose Tejas whenever we're in the area.

The chain restaurant has been sinking for years, but what sure doesn't help it stay afloat is the service. Nice and friendly to our faces is all we'll get, especially when a group of over 8+ walk in and they see $$$ eyes for automatic gratuity. 15+ minutes to get drinks. Other tables taken care of in the meantime. The food came out, one order was not the intended order. The server was so persistent that "she pointed to it thats what she pointed to so thats what I rang in" and heavy on that mindset rather than fixing the problem. No repeat backs, our guest just said she wants salmon with baked potato and vegetables. It was a miscommunication, but the way the waitress handled it was crazy coming from someone who has over 12+ years in serving experience. We're not argumentative, and it was a celebration, so one guest barely touched their food as they were just displeased with it. Shrimp with sauce. Is that even the name for it? I had to spoon out at-least a 1 inch layer of oil for it to be even edible. Kitchen managers gave that an ok to be sent to a table? The best thing they have going is the crab legs/boils/lobster tails. The rest is straight trash, followed by 12am low ranked diner style service. I wish we had pics. We all just wanted to go. Our high school grad was happy to have their crab legs. For us adults, it's no go for us on this establishment. As a kid, I loved and cherished this place, sucks that it became this way.
