The Dentist was nice however ... The Hispanic lady in the front in her late 40's early 50's that presented my procedure plan was rude. Not only was she unprofessional, but had charges on my plan that were incorrect. After I confirmed with my insurance they were trying to charge me $230 more than what I was supposed to pay, she only became more rude. Not only that but they presented the procedure plan after they had already numbed me. You think that would be done first just in case changes had to be made or give patients the opportunity to think of different options. Also no options were presented to me about crown material. I would look elsewhere for friendly service. read more

Wasted my time here took my daughter and they referred me to a kids dentist that's now going to charge me more for what this place did and it's out of pocket cause this place already charged the insurance. I'm older and have been to many dentists in my life and this by far was the worst dental office I have ever been to in my life! Other than the nice young man that took my x-rays, the rest of the staff had no compassion for someone scared of the dentist and and the dentist I saw was downright rude. They left me sitting in the dental chair in a room waiting for over 3 hours waiting to get an impression. The only other person in the office that was nice was the lady in charge of presenting me with a huge bill for procedures that they wanted to do. Then when I got my partial it was poor quality and didn't fit right. The dentist wasn't concerned with trying to make it fit comfortably. I wouldn't go back there if you paid me!!! read more

The main dentist, Sally/Dr. Kim (female), could be a little more welcoming, understanding and compassionate regarding concerns. I recently moved to the high desert from riverside and needed a dentist, and saw this was the best rated dental office up here. If this is the BEST rated Dental Office up here than I don't what to think. The longest thing at my appointment was the x -rays, the cleaning was only five minutes, five fucking minutes, you can't do a proper cleaning in five minutes. The dental hygienist didn't even do a probe test. The dentist tried to tell me I needed a deep cleaning, and a crown to replace an old filling and the hygienist was trying to tell me, after I asked her if she was going to do the probe test, that the probe test was for after the deep cleaning. I swear I think I was dumb, that's not what a probe test is for. I did not trust any of their diagnosis, so I got a second opinion, back in riverside, and it turned out I was right not to trust their opinions, I did not need a deep cleaning, my gums are pretty much healthy majority are 2 and 3 mm (which is 1-3 mm are an indicator of healthy gums,) some 4s mm do too a lot of plaque and Tatar build up, in some areas; but I do not need a deep cleaning, what I need is just an additional cleaning to get the plaque and tartar off but not a deep cleaning. And I DO NOT need a crown, it can be replace with a filling. This place just wants to charge you unnecessary procedures for your money. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would!! I let these people put my card on file for automatic payments. They said they would call me with an appointment time for my upper and lower crown. I never got a call however month after month they continue to charge my card. I keep calling to have this removed and they keep saying they're going to stop the charges. The first payment was charged, keep in mind no work and no call to even schedule the work has been done, they said it would be cancelled and refunded. NEVER GOT THE REFUND!!! Month 2 I have been charged another $215. I have spoken to JOANNA MULTIPLE TIMES, who always says she's going to fix it. I call they say she'll call back or can they take a message, same thing with the office MANAGER. So get this I call to make a corporate complaint and this woman had the nastiest attitude, when I asked for a supervisor she transferred me to the call center. I called back and the same lady answered and refused to give her name, said her supervisor isn't available and that's she's going to end the call. THIS IS THE PERSON HANDLING GRIEVANCES. I would never ever recommend this company or office to anyone, and I will ensure NONE OF MY FAMILY WILL CONTINUE TO USE YOUR SERVICES. read more

When we first moved to Hesperia we went to one dentist in town and had problems with their work so I am glad we found Desert Dentist. Both my wife and I have had work done by a wonderful dentist, Dr. Lee and we recommend him to anyone. He is very nice to us. He is careful and thorough. My first two visits have been very good! I am normally very nervous about going to the dentist but the dentist Dr. Sally Kim and her whole staff were wonderful! I did get a very good consultation from Dr. Sally and found out that all I needed was to have a maintenance cleaning. I used to go here when Dr Mowrey owned it... In fact I started using them in 1995... Loved Dr Mowrey, I stayed with the office even when he semi retired... I tried a couple of the fill in dentists and was not impressed.... They always tried saying I had a cavity or I needed a root canal or something... I started only coming when Dr Mowrey was on even if I had to book way in advance. He always told me NO I didn't need any of that work done.... When Dr Mowrey finally retired all the way I stopped using this place because I found them very dishonest. All they wanted to do was say things were wrong just to make more money... I did find a new place recently called Hospitality Dental and found the same kind of honest dentists that I had with Dr Mowrey.... Dr Mowrey I miss you, but I hope you are enjoying retirement....... Update..... This dental office just called me to see what they could do about my review. They did assure me that the new owner was not there when I last used them about 5 years ago, I guess I did see a family member of the new owner... Dr. Eugenie Kim is so conscientious and kind. She encouraged me about a filling I had to have redone due to a defect (from another dentist at a totally different location) - that it would be a simple procedure and it was! She even had one of her assistants call me the day we scheduled it to let me know how much it was going to cost. The day I got it redone she was very reassuring and professional, gentle and quick. She even counseled me about which numbing agent she would use (if I wanted her to - and I did), how long it lasts and that it was the safest choice for pregnant and nursing women. I also had the problem of raspberry and blackberry seeds getting stuck (like for two hours) in this one little crook of a filling. She fixed it and made sure my bite was unaffected. I am SO. VERY. RELIEVED. Painless and pleasant! :) My usual reason for visiting is to see the absolute BEST dental hygenist on the planet (my husband and I actually agree ;), Michelle!!! I do not recommend this Dentist. If I could give minus stars I would. If they cannot sell you anything they will not even tell you the truth about your teeth. I called because I was having pain with eating cold food. They took x-rays of all my teeth (because insurance pays for that) Then sat me in a chair and told me I needed a crown. The most expensive crown I have ever heard of. Triple anywhere else. When I refused they said my insurance covered removing the tooth. Then the dentist left the room and another lady came in and said my teeth needed a "deep Cleaning" for $650.00. There's expensive and then there's the we don't want your business and get out price. I immediately went to another dentist and he was a honest person and without an x-ray, showed me that my tooth was cracked and I would need a root canal and a crown. I can't imaging not telling your patient your tooth was cracked. He did it and made a porcelain crown a week later all for $800 cash. Stay tuned for his review. Oh yeah I forgot. The other dentist i went to said my teeth did not need a deep cleaning, I don't have tartar built up like Desert Dentist said. He charges $98 bucks! Desert Dentist saved me $1000 yesterday. I had dislodged a gold crown on Sunday. Monday I took it back to the dentist in Apple Valley who had installed it and they told me that they could not put it back in place because it would not fit. They were going to charge me $1175 to install a new crown. I went to Desert Dentist the next day and they pulled the cracked wisdom tooth that was located next to the tooth that needed the crown and of course my original crown fit perfect. So for $185 I had a broken wisdom tooth, that I should have had extracted when I was 18, removed and my crown reinstalled. This was all done with no pain. Dr. Eugenie Kim was so gentle that I never even realized I was receiving a shot until my tongue began to go numb. I was also impressed with the caring attitudes of the entire staff. Office manager Stephanie Cervantes explained all of my financial options in a way that was very easy to understand and was so helpful. Since leaving the office yesterday, I have recommended Desert Dentist to my sister and both nieces, a friend and my Mom. I would highly recommend Desert Dentist to anyone. read more
