I had visited the office in their Sahara location and decided to find another endocrinologist. Later in the years, I decided to go back to Dr. Wong and was told I cannot see this doctor anymore. I asked why and they would not/could not tell me why. If anything, I thought I have a right to know and they insisted they cannot tell me why. I later moved to Henderson and saw there was a location here and tried to make an appointment and again was refused to schedule an appointment. When I asked for the reason, they would not/could not provide me with the reason. read more

Had Aubrey as the attending physician she is condescending does not listen to your concerns and they push GLP-1's down your throat regardless of side effects I had my PCP take over management of my diabetes and have been extremely happy. Horrible experience with this office. I was in a serious accident a month ago and fractured my right leg in 2 places. Because I am single, I had to leave Nevada to be cared for by family that reside out of state. I am physically unable to get to Quest and to my next routine in-office appointment. I asked for a one time exception so that I could get my thyroid medication refilled. The exception was granted, but I was never informed, so the refill was put back at the pharmacy and I had to start over. I got another prescription sent over and the pharmacist cannot read it, it is illegible. I asked the office to either resend it or call and verify it with the pharmacy. They never did. The latest attempt to refill was apparently denied by Desert Endocrinology. How can they approve it then change their mind? I also tried to get it refilled in Vegas because a friend is willing to get it for me. That also was denied. So please tell me, with a broken leg, unable to drive, and being out of state to receive the care that I need, how do I proceed? As of now I am out of medication and may end up back in the hospital, out of state, just for thyroid treatment that was originally approved. If that happens, I may have no choice but to seek legal assistance. On top of all this, the staff has been extremely rude, treating me like a bother. Believe me, the last thing I want to be dealing with while recovering is a prescription refill nightmare. read more

Cute medical plaza, plenty of parking, bright and clean facilities. I feel I made the right choice for my Endocrine journey. When I initially called they weren't currently accepting new patients, however the lovely receptionist told me exactly when to call back. I appreciate the level of service and care I've received from the beginning. You walk into a bright friendly waiting room and are greeted by the receptionist who instantly puts you at ease. I've just moved here, haven't even established insurance or other medical care teams... but this facility has seriously impressed me. I've been going to endocrine specialists since I was 16... and this place has made me feel heard & seen. Desert Endocrinology is consistently spot on. As a team of health care providers they work hard to accommodate their patients, give them the appointments they want, etc, whenever possible. From the minute you walk in the front door until you leave, they work together for you. Dr. Litchfield takes time out of his incredibly busy day to call patients and check in with them, I've never known a Doctor to do that. Usually The Doctors assistant does the duty but not at Desert Endocrinology. The staff is very dedicated and caring plus you get a top flight Endocrinologist who has received every award imaginable, the respect of his peers and the gratitude of his patients. I've been seeing Dr. Wong since I moved to Vegas, about 2 years now. After a few visits I had been meaning to find a new provider. But today was the last straw for me and regret to not finding a better doctor sooner. Today I called to make an appointment, the earliest appointment they had available is 10/28/24, so I made the appt and asked if any cancellations please call me. I then asked if my thyroid meds can be refilled to hold me until my appointment and was told Dr. Wong would not approve my Synthroid prescription because he needed to see me first, but they don't have anything available until 10/28/24. They suggested I go to a quick care to get my medication refilled. Which I did tonight because I've been out for a few days. I was able to get 90 day supply prescribed by UMC Quick Care in less than 30 mins, in and out! When I'm at Dr. Wong's office I'm always waiting at least an hour just to be seen so Dr. Wong can ask me three questions check my breathing so he can bill my insurance for doing nothing. Truly I'm not surprised at all this, I knew for a while this doctor and office is unprofessional, they do not care about their patients, front desk people are rude and all they want is for you to go in to waste your time just to bill your insurance. Dr. Wong is condescending, at one point he blamed me for not getting a test his office didn't order. He at one point lowered my Synthroid dose and didn't care that the lower dose he had me on was making me feel horrible, I had to demand to be put back on the previous dose, which he reduced because of my labs and ignored the fact that I kept saying I felt good on the dose. He is a total jerk about everything. DO NOT go here unless you want to be disrespected and treated like a child. He will never take the time to treat you as an individual patient. Worst medical care and doctor ever! UMC quick care doctor couldn't believe I was there tonight just to get a medication I have been on since 2014 filled because Dr. Wong is a jerk. Never have experienced in my entire life in health care what occurred today with my office visit with Dr. Aubrey Eyre Bohne. Dr. Aubrey, your communication and patient care was unsatisfactory with your lack of guidance on to increase or leave medication alone, you left the decision up to me on what you wanted me to do. You are a "supposedly " a doctor with whom I am paying you insurance to assist me with what medication to increase. Of course I do not want to increase a medication that will cause me insomnia, who would want that! You could have made an adjustment to the other medication and recheck me in a few months, I would have been fine with that and happy on my way. Your communication was unsatisfactory and unsuccessful on proper care. Dr. Aubrey, your ego today brought the worst side out of you and caused yourself to lack professionalism! Your communication was endless and going in circles, just to maybe make an adjustment to increase a medication that led nowhere and it affected you to emotionally and abruptly leave the room, to blame me that i was agitated. You tell your colleagues that I was agitated and someone else will see me in the future. You are unprofessional and ill equipped to handle your position! I came to review blood work, that is all I wanted, but you turned it into a circus! Your assistant came to get me and your rudeness rubbed off to her causing her to be rude towards me. "Let's go" is not a proper way to talk to a patient and walk to the front desk! read more

Dr. W. Reid Litchfield when I had this as my doctor back in 2014 I was happy to go there. Then I got pushed to Violet who said she was going to send over about five different meds and she never did. I go back and see Dallas and he was fine did the basics. Go to make an appointment as I missed mine and was on hold for 28 minutes to an attitude from the person making the appointments. Then my time has finally come to see Dallas and well I couldn't pay as I was waiting for my check to hit my account. Got to wait 40 minutes and ask so am I not able to see the doctor if I can't pay my copay? Receptionist umm well another nurse or whoever with the horribly drawn in eyebrows says "as long as you pay before you leave". So my money is more important than someone getting cared for?!?!? My insurance provides me free doctors that I can go and see I chose to pay to see Litchfield and I get treated this way over $40!!! Tell me that you only care about money without telling me you only care about money. I get a call after I leave and get the receptionist who sighs on the phone when she was the problem. Oh and I hope you are reading this when you called me the money was in my account. Sorry to of bothered you for going to your office. How dare me! read more

I saw Dr. Reid Litchfield once after waiting for an appointment for months. After I got all my exam results, they told me I couldn't see him again. His staff said to see a nurse practitioner in his place. The nurse practitioner wasn't great and didn't give me any help. I called again, asking to see the doctor, and they now say he is not taking new patients. I was a patient. Now I'm new. I asked if they had any other recommendations since they aren't taking any patients, and they don't. This is very unprofessional and unethical. Why did they see me in the first place? They sent me to do all the exams, and then I can't see the doctor again. read more

Dr. Litchfield and Violet are great providers. Every time I go I to the office I feel like my provider really listens to me and is very knowledgeable. Violet listened to what I was concerned about and sent me for a wide variety of labs to rule out what was going on with me. Dr. Litchfield took the time to sit down with me, listen to my concerns, and answered any questions me husband and I had. The office staff is friendly. When I call the office, I don't feel like I'm waiting on hold for too long. When I go in for an appointment I don't usually wait in the waiting room for too long. After being a patient of Dr. Litchfield for 2 years, I will never come back to this doctor again. He is a great doctor, don't get me wrong , but since my case was assigned to a NP, all that I have so far is neglection. My last experience was horrible, traumatic and cruel. I can't believe that Dr. Litchfield is allowing NP to diagnose and make decisions that are crucial for his patients without his supervision or consent. For 2 years I was a cash cow for him and labcorp. I was gaslighting by his assistants, ignoring my bloodwork and not addressing any solutions but just "monitoring" my condition. Now that my blood work levels are normalizing, they want me to have surgery with a neurosurgeon who is not covered by my insurance and I am not talking about a simple procedure, it is a BRAIN SURGERY. Also they perform sonograms but you don't get a report. How do I know that what you are saying is accurate? So far everything that you have told me is WRONG. I have the right to have my medical records, compare and trust their judgment based on the reports. I was told that I needed a biopsy on my thyroid nodules because something didn't seem right and it could be cancer. Why should I trust the judgment of a NP, when for the last 2 years a NP told me that I was fine and they just need to keep checking. I mean, how do you tell someone something like that without making sure with Dr. Litchfield that what you are seeing, match with the diagnosis? I am sorry but I have being mistreated by this facility so many times that at this point, I question everything. I had to get a second opinion, after literally being treated with no compassion, having a panic attack in the office, being discharged by the NP with cero empathy. Thank God for the 2 nurses that kindly calmed me down and showed me some compassion. read more

Honestly this is the WORSE medical office I have ever been too staff is soo unprofessional. I had an appointment in December of last year they called me and asked me to reschedule because the doctor wasn't gonna be in the office they couldn't reschedule me until end of January Mind you they had to reschedule me because of their faults Then in January I had to reschedule because I couldn't get my blood work in time Now I need a refill on my prescription and they don't want to give me one !!! Because they haven't seen me Seriously Like good thing i wasn't Bipolar and needed a refill.. This whole time by the way I'm speaking to Erica which by the way is rude as fuck She said we can see you today Like ma'am I have a job I can't just leave ?? STAY AWAY. We were referred to Dr Wong, however he wouldn't take us as we don't have insurance that he would accept. We offered several times to pay cash, but were refused as "he could get into trouble for taking cash". What we later found out is that he won't take us without insurance because he likes to charge the patient money AND charge the insurance, which is double dipping, which is ILLEGAL, and THAT part is what would get him in trouble. When I called back, they told me they aren't accepting new patients and if someone called me from referrals it was in error. They informed me of an available appointment 3 months before my regularly scheduled new patient appointment. They were all beyond kind, and went above and beyond in explaining treatment options, and were extremely efficient and thorough. I can't say enough good things about them, and the entire staff. I love this office, Dr. Litchfield and Amanda have been absolute (literal) lifesavers for me in managing my condition. Amanda takes the time to explain to me what the medications are doing and why I'm taking one vs another. She also asks about my comfort level with management options and goes over choices rather than dictating. The front office staff is always friendly and personable, I'm not sure what else I could ask for. The fact that appointments are usually hard to get, well, there's a reason for that. The doctors here are awesome. The reason I am leaving this low of a review is because the office staff is aweful. I go to check in and the receptionist is chewing gum and also had an attitude. She said they accept my insurance and my copay was $130. I asked her how much self pay was and she said under $100. I told her I would self pay. She said that was illegal. That is ridiculous! So I could have went in there told her I didn't have insurance and just self paid. I had to see the doctor so I paid but I will be contacting my insurance about the copay. I was waiting in the room for 45 minutes before the doctor came in. Our room was right outside the reception area in the back. The receptionist's were talking about how bad the patients were so. Like I said the doctors are some of the best in town but the office staff is another story. read more

Then sends a letter dropping you as a patient when you had to reschedule your appointment a couple of times. Not cool as there is necessary medication involved. So, now off to find another Dr. fast. I had my new patient exam today. I was referred here by my Gyno for having abnormal thyroid levels consistent with hyperthyroidism. Prior to my visit I called and asked my gyno to send over all my records (this was back in January), when I got there today the office had received NOTHING. I work in veterinary medicine and I know how frustrating it is when we don't get records from referring veterinarians so needless to say I was very irritated and I'm sure they were, too, but they didn't show it. The nurse who took my back was very patient while I called my gyno to have them fax everything. It took about 15 min for us to get all my labs, referral form, etc. Dr. Litchfield came in and talked to me about my clinical history, family medical history, etc. while we waited for my records to come over. Once we received them he began his real assessment and was very thorough. I have some education in hyperthyroidism because we see it in cats, but when it comes to human medicine I had no idea that there are 3 different causes of hyperthyroidism- he educated me on all the different causes and then told me which he believes I have. I was communicated to very well and in a matter of minutes we had a treatment plan in place. I was told all of the things to watch out for while on my medications and when to come back for a follow up visit to recheck a million blood profiles because my condition and the medication can both have serious effects on other parts of the body. Now again; I work in the medical field so I understand all of this and how necessary it is to follow up and do all the needed testing. Yes; my visit today was expensive- but I feel that the negative reviews on here come from people who don't fully understand how insurance works. If you have not met your deductible (which I haven't) you will have to pay more. My new patient visit was $254.69. I was called before my appt and all of this information was relayed to me so it was not a surprise. I was prepared to pay. Secondly, Dr. Litchfield is a specialist. This means that he has gone through EXTRA schooling to receive his education in the endocrine system. If you haven't ever taken anatomy, this is by far the most extensive system in the body. Both animal and human. You are paying for a specialist visit. You are paying for care by someone who literally ONLY sees endocrine issues. It is going to be more expensive. I feel very confident in the staff here. I had no problems with anyone being rude. I don't feel robbed. I would recommend this office to anyone needing an endocrine specialist. read more

The whole front office staff is very rude especially Stephanie, the office manager. They do not do their job and verify what the insurance is supposed to pay. If you want a surprise bill, they will rob you in your face. They make you pay for their mistake. They decide what you pay, very greedy, and wont fix their negligence. Run away and go somewhere else. I was a patient for well over 10 years, back when you could actually see the doctor. Last couple of years the office just seems to have gone downhill with long phone wait times, long waits in the office and difficulty getting timely appointments, etc - frustrating but OK the practice has grown and I am a routine patient who has an appointment every 6 months so I was dealing with it as best as possible. The final straw was the disappointment when I needed them most. I had an appointment scheduled 6 months in advance and needed to reschedule for travel to the east coast due to a death in the immediate family. The first available afternoon appointment (afternoon for work commitment reasons) was not until 3 month later so I grabbed it thinking it is well after I need to travel back again to tie off additional executor responsibilities. I went ahead and rescheduled my routine lab appointment to coincide - which is a feat in itself when you have to fast for a morning appointment coordinated with a scheduled office visit. In the meantime, my medication is running low and looks like it will run out in the middle of my trip back east. They will not refill to carry me through to my next scheduled appointment. I must physically come in to the office. Why? Caveat....they have no appointment available. Their solution...call every day to see if there is a cancellation, but of course no guarantees. This was actually stated to me - unbelievable. All I asked for was enough to get me to the next already scheduled appointment. Eventually, the aid conceded and agreed to a 30 day refill which still shorts me 20 days before next appointment for a daily medication. Guess I should have missed the funeral just to keep a "routine" appointment so they can send an electronic Rx to the pharmacy. This is not patient care, this is merely a "business." In the past, I recommended this practice but not anymore. This practice touts "old fashioned services" but completely missed the mark with good old fashioned "caring" when it comes to their patients. They care to bring you in so they can bill an office visit to make a dollar. Shameful. read more

First off, I haven't been to a doctor in over 15 years until I went into see Doctor Litchfield. All the girls Nikki and Cynthia in the front office were AMAZING and patient with me. Then Lyda and Erika were the next 2 girls I seen and they were both very patient and helpful with me. Then I met Kori as I was going to the room, and she gave me a warm welcome which also helped me feel more at ease. Doctor Litchfield has a calm, reassuring demeanor that really helped me to relax and really understand what he was saying. He explained my treatment plan on a whiteboard, which made it easier to understand. As I was heading to check out, I saw Doctors Violet and Amanda, and they gave some well wishes, which added to the overall family vibe of this office! I was recommended to Dr Litchfield from my primary care physician Dr Francesca Chamian. I live 32 miles away and at 7:15 am I questioned whether or not I really wanted to drive that far for a doctor. After the positive experience from the entire staff I am here to say it was worth it. Cory is the first nurse I saw who took all my vitals and helped get the test results from other doctors while I was there. Super fast !! So impressed. Next I saw Violet who is the doctors PA. I was very impressed with her knowledge and wonderful patient communication. Next I saw the doctor and his calm nature as well as his ability to communicate on a layman's level made me feel very positive that I had indeed chosen the right doctor and office for my current thyroid needs. This is my six month check-up and although I absolutely adore Violet and her nurse the front desk staff is not friendly. Today, they were talking amongst themselves and couldn't be bothered to even greet me when I walked in the door. I was the only one in the waiting room. After a few minutes my name was called to pay my copay. While I waited to sign the credit card slip another patient arrived, she was also ignored. I just don't understand why it's not an instant greeting when you enter a business, especially one that is for patient care. read more
