This review is concerning the treatment I received from the front office staff at Dr Iqbals office on Wednesday February 25th. I was there to clarify a few doubts and just had one or two questions for the Dr, but the office staff was uncaring and laughed at my request. Their customer service skills need to be worked on. Doctor maybe good and knows his specialty; but his staff is rude, nasty and Unprofessional! Asked for help getting my CGM and was told they don't deal with companies out of state. In this case the company was recommended by the mfr of Freestyle. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

This is a horrible office. The front staff doesn't know how to do their jobs. The first time I went in they failed to get my medical history from my primary doctor. I was there two hours before they told me they couldn't see me. When I called the office to speak with the manager to let her know what was happening at the desk... she acted like it was my fault. The second time I went in... I called to confirm they did their job this time..they said they had my medical history. I waited a hour to find out they didn't have what they needed. The doctor came in and said he couldn't see me.... What idiots! The doctor was rude as well. I warn people about these type of doctors... they only care about the money. Stay away! read more

The last time I saw him he cut me off my insulin pens and freestyle libre 2 because he said NY a1c was down. Didn't notice he didn't renew them until chk out ask to talk to the doctor front office staff said no if you needed it he would have given to you, my wife called the next day same staff told her she was right. I've heard great things about this doctor. I had to cancel my appointment because another doctor was running behind. A friend of mine retired from healthcare and told me private practices that are solo like his, are difficult to run these days. She said this because I thought his office waiting room was a bit shabby looking - old couch etc. It's hard to tell reading the reviews if the practice has gone downhill. I will say that it does take time to train people on insurance. If they can clear up the insurance billing issues, I will look forward to coming back. read more

I have been going to Dr Iqball for several years and he is excellent. He monitors all my medical issues.

My office experience has been bad from the start. I had gone to this practice for over a year because it was close to my work. The Dr was trying to get my dosage right so I had to get blood work every time & be seen every few weeks. He's thorough so that's good. However, the staff is slow & they don't call you back. I waited for over 1 1/2 hrs to be seen but I had to leave for another appointment. So I wasn't seen that day after all. I asked for them to call in my rx because i was out of my medication. They said ok but never did, nor did they call me to let me know. I need to see a doctor closer to me & they need my test results. I asked the office to send my results to me because their office is 45-60 minutes away. Dr Iqbal's office won't provide my test results through email, mail, or send to new Dr. I have to pick them up in person, close to an hour away. read more

I am overwhelmed with joy!!!!!!! My son had his follow up visit today to get the results of his thyroid biopsy and NO CANCER!. Dr. Iqbal is an extraordinary doctor, he was as happy to give us the results as I was to receive it. He drew pictures, broke down the medical terminology and gave us examples that we could understand as he went through every inch of the report with us. If you're in need of an Endocrinologist in the Vegas area, Dr. Iqbal should be on the top of your list. read more

I love the doctor. However the billing staff is incompetent. I went for an appointment and was told I needed to pay $860 in prior bills before I could be seen. So I was refused my appointment. I immediately contacted my insurance company. They didn't have any outstanding bills. They then made multiple attempts to contact the billing person but their calls were never returned. My insurance company called me and explained they were unable to contact the billing person. I called and left a message with billing also and can't get a response. I find a doctor that I really liked and now can't be seen because of inadequate staff. I see many reviews stating difficulty with the billing person. read more

Unfortunately I may look for another doctor. I just read a similar review detailing the problem about Farrho, the billing coordinator. My appt was at 1:15. I was let in to see the doctor at 3 pm She kept me waiting for her to pursue $20 from my secondary insurance which my EOB said was paid but she said was not. They wanted me to pay for the charges that were the responsibility of my secondary insurance. Unless you want to pay for what your insurance should pay, don't go to F. Iqbal's office. read more

I am posting this review not as a reflection of the doctor at all. What I am reviewing is the manner in which his billing office conducts themselves. 12 hours prior to my appointment I received a phone call regarding my secondary insurance. Not only did they tell me that it was inactive, which is incorrect, the billing woman became irate when I told her that I was not responsible for my Medicare deductible because my secondary will pick it up. Thet wanted the money upfront. That's a shady way to conduct business, so be aware. I am very fond of the doctor, but refuse to spend hours on the telephone doing not only their job, but the job of an entry level assistant to confirm insurance. Their billing woman hung up on me, and I'll unfortunately be looking for a new endocrinologist. read more

Dr. Iqbal has been my husband's doctor for approx 12 years during which time has been one a few that has diagnosed and resolved many issues that other physicians could not or would not resolve. Dr Iqbal not only has great bedside manner, but is ethical, professional, patient, understanding, kind, & listens to his patient about any concerns he has with his health care and overall issues that arise. He monitors my husband's medications (even those Rx that other doctors are insistent on issuing that address the same issues); he carefully reviews the labs that are needed to balance his health conditions and resolve the concerns. Dr Iqbal is extremely knowledgeable, professional and ethical. All of his staff are professional, friendly, efficient, and very pleasant to deal with. We highly recommend Dr Iqbal if you want a direct no nonsense doctor. read more

I had an appointment scheduled with this doctor today at 1:45. His office called 30 minutes before appointment and asked if I had medical records. I said no. She said well we won't see you then. I told her I had surgery over 10 years ago and records would be irrelevant and that my husband would be with me at the appointment and he is a doctor and tell the doctor what had been done. I had surgery and had 31/2 of my parathyroid removed out of 4. My calcium levels are high and many of my symptoms have returned. The receptionist continued to say he would not see me. My husband told her we have an appointment at 1:45 and we will be at the appointment. We drove an hour to see him. They refused to let me see the doctor. The doctor came out and my husband told him the appointment should not be canceled because it was a consult and the records for surgery were over 10 years old. The guy said well I won't see her. My husband said are you not even going to extend a curtesy to another doctor. He said no. Call me crazy but why would I reschedule with this doctor!! He was exceptionally rude and so was his staff. I highly recommend you not go to this guy! After all this they asked me for my insurance card. I said why do you need it if the doctor won't see me! Worse office I have ever been in. He doesn't care about the patient, much less we drove an hour to get to him and waited a month to see him. He could have given us 10 minutes to explain what was going on and to advise us if he was even the person I needed to see. I will now schedule with the Mayo Clinic. This guy was a miserable human being and so was his staff!! Run...do not go this heartless guy. They said they called on Friday but that NEVER happened!!! What a jerk he was. Dr. Iqbal is THE best endocrinogist in the Las Vegas Valley. Before I seen him I was in thyroid storm with an antiTpo of over 1000, nobody could help. I was even sent to UCLA in both Santa Monica and the Ronald Reagan ER. in California for tertiary care before coming home and then lapsed into myxedema crisis and sent to St. Rose Sienna ER. They recommended Dr. Iqbal. He performed an ultrasound-guided biopsy of the nodules on my thyroid in office, ran labs and calculated T4 and T3 meds. By the way, no other dr. Has the knowledge of T3 meds. They usually just keep raising your T4 till you're maxed out and in er. I have autoimmune hashimotos thyroiditis. He brought my antiTpo down to 46. He tests catacholamines, parathyroid, cortisol, metabolic labs. He is thorough, professional and knowledgeable. I don't know where I would be without him. He gave me my life back. read more

I don't normally leave reviews, but I do read them from time to time when I am making my decisions on where to go to eat, shop, etc. I just happened to get curious and searched Dr. Iqbal. My shock was to see the really, really negative reviews. So.... I have been a patient of Dr. Iqbal's since mid-2017 after being diagnosed with Thyroid cancer and referred by Dr. Weingarten after my surgery for all of my after care. I have seen my share of all sorts of physicians in many different specialties. The bottom line for me is - are they the best at what they do. Office staffs all vary, wait times vary (later in the day, more than likely you wait longer), physician assistants/nurses/etc. are human and they have their bad days. I could go on. With all that said. Dr. Iqbal has always answered all my questions. He has asked about my family as well as the pertinent health questions. He takes the time that is necessary with each of his patients (which means some appointments go longer than others). He has ordered all the tests that are appropriate and timely. He has made me feel comfortable knowing that we are managing my treatments appropriately and keeping a careful eye on all my test results. If you need an Endocrinologist, take the good and the bad reviews with a grain of salt and give him the opportunity to be your physician for what ails you. One last thought, I absolutely would NOT be treated by any physician I did not feel comfortable with for even more than one visit and I have been Dr. Iqbal's patient for over 4 years now. I've been seeing Dr. Iqbal for eight years now. Once in all that time, I did have to wait but that has been true in every doctor's office I have ever been to. Things happen. Dr. Iqbal is intelligent, friendly and takes time with his patients. When I first began seeing him we needed to change medication several times. He saw me frequently, altering dosage until we found the correct formula for me. I have been able to stay on the current dosage for many years now and see him twice a year. I can't put into writing how upset I am. We started seeing this dr when my dad was told he had progressed to type two diabetes and needed insulin ASAP. I have to say that this has been by far the worst dr my family and I have ever been to& when requested medical records dr charged 56 bucks and I still haven't recieved it. I should've posted my review of Dr. Iqbal a long time ago. He's been my endocrinologist since 2003. I live in Summerlin and his office is in Henderson. There are plenty of endocrinologists closer to me, but I have no plans to switch doctors. Dr. Iqbal has been a good doctor for me. Over the years, we've built a great doctor-patient relationship. He's caring and thorough. He takes the time to talk to me, not hurry me out the door. He's given me sage advice over the years. Dr. Igbal is AMAZING! The front office staff is pathetic and has no idea what they are doing. The receptionist that checks you in does not know insurance. She says that we have to pay a copay for a specialist - our insurance does not have copays. Have the EOB to prove it. As for her phone etiquette - I would fire her immediately. The way she talks to patients is in excusable. Completely unacceptable! Also needs to be educated on office policies because each time you talk to her it's something different. I found it necessary to find another Doctor for my Diabetes. I called around to a few Doctors in my area and my call went directly to voice mail. This was not the case with Dr. Iqbal office. His staff picked up right away and was very accommodating in helping me schedule an appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, I was impressed with how clean and comfortable the office was. The staff has been professional and caring since day one. Dr. Iqbal is a rare find. He does not overbook appointments and allows plenty of time to go over any concerns you may have about your health. This is such a welcome change from most Doctors who are always on the clock and rushing to get you out the door. I went to Dr. Iqbal for a second opinion on my thyroid. He diagnosed me as having HYPERTHYROIDISM, which I'm not; and he sent the HYPERTHYROIDISM Diagnosis to my Medical Provider. He also left me take LEVOTHYROXIN for too long a period of time, when another Endocrinologist and Physician's Assistant informed me that it was urgent that I stopped taking LEVOTHYROXIN immediately. I will never go to Dr. Iqbal again for thyroid treatment; no exceptions. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Iqbal since 2013. He is a kind, gentle and compassionate doctor. I have never had a rushed appointment and he takes his time to explain things fully so that I always understand what is happening with my health. I would stay clear of this provider or less you have lots of extra money. So I pay my co-pay as the office staff requested. To receive a bill for over $400 and I have already paid them $300. I understand that my insurance in not the best, I know that now. Think-goodness that change.:) But there was no explanation of the service and what it was going to cost me. Over $700 out of pocket for 3 visits and a total of 45 mins of his time. $450 for the second visit, that was less then 10 mins. I called the office and got transferred to the billing lady... Vary impatient and couldn't explain charges. She told me, one of the billing code for $300 was for accessories??? I ask what accessories and she could explain. I didn't receive accessories??? Dr Iqbal is highly educated and trained in his area of expertise. He is also a compassionate person who treats patients like family. I was facing a challenging set a circumstances. Dr Iqbal due to is reputation and level of respected in his field was able to coordinate my treatment that include the best neurological surgery center in the west coast UCSF. I put my life in Dr Iqbal's hands and has was with me every step of the way. I am on the road to a full recovery and owe that to Dr Iqbal and the team he help assemble. Horrible experience. I went to this doctor with a thyroid ultrasound and detailed thyroid blood tests for him to look at. He said that he will need to do another ultrasound for his records but he won't charge me for it. I paid $120 at the end of the visit. Four weeks later I received a bill for another $200 which they said was for the ultrasound. I asked why I wasn't informed of this and charged when I initially paid and also asked to speak to the doctor and they declined. I don't see why he felt the need to do another ultrasound when I had just brought him one. I also asked for a copy of it and they refused to provide one for me. For starters for being a Doctor this man has no empathy. I had a biopsy done with a needle in my neck and he was anything but nice to make me feel relaxed. The girls in the office are very nice after they have left you waiting for 45min to tell you you can't be seen because of some lie about your lab work. During a biopsy he proceeded to tell me before test result even came back that I had a 50 50 chance that I had cancer and then did not advise anyone for 3 months until questioned by my primary Doctor that the biopsy was inconclusive and would have to take it again. I cannot begin to express my irritation with this whole office and that this man is still practicing. My primary doctor was upset and had to step out of the office to talk to them and was embarrassed that they even refer him to me. read more
