I would like to alert the public about a terrible business practice being done by dessert financial that has left myself and 2 other families literally homeless. They act like you are doing a loan with them but are outsourcing all FHA loans through a company called NewRez to actually do all processing and underwriting. We have been working with Cory Talbert at Desert financial Who advised all parties loans had gone through. We all moved out out of our homes only to find out the loan was not processed at all. This left us with U-Haul's packed up and no Home to live in. instead of rectifying the solution he asked for another three week extension. Upon the clothes of the three week extension, May 22, we were alerted that they underwriting still had not completed processing the loan efforts and we were stuck again, not knowing anything other than it's not his fault and they outsourced to NewRez. This Company also fails to respond or take responsibility accountability. We are all still homeless with no concrete closed date provided. I'm gonna recommend anyone that I know to stay away from these two companies as they are not reliable and will end up costing me money in the long run. read more

Their online banking format is horrible. When I needed account information, I had my statement on hand, passcode and the works but the system would not recognize me. The response system was simply given one or two statements to repeat and I would not process my request. I am not asking for a loan or anything other than information on my account. Using this credit union for a refinance of my home equity loan and an auto loan. Not this branch specifically but using the phone services so this review is more for them than the branch. All I can tell you is bring your track shoes with you they are going to make you jump through and over as many hurdles as they can. Not a very streamlined process. They asked for a lot of duplicate information. Rates aren't too bad but they will make you work for it. read more

This bank has no compassion! Don't ever get a car loan from these people when you ask them for a 1 month of extension they will not even give it to you! I have been with this bank for over 15 years! They reported me as 90 days past due. I have never been late in my life with payments. They didn't report me at 30 or 60 days, and none of my billing statements showed past due. Instead of them correcting their error, they made me contact the credit bureaus, and they still have not done anything to get my credit score back up to where it was. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I made a deposit at this branch and usually the transaction is done in front of you but the teller I had took my deposit to the drive thru window and when she returned my deposit was off by $200. I've NEVER been that far off on a deposit...but because I didn't see what she was doing I can't argue with them. If you go to this branch make sure your deposit of cash is done in front of you. Or better yet, go to a different branch altogether. When you call to speak to a branch manager about this issue, they will send you through a series of ridiculous questions to prove you are who you say you are....and then they'll reassure you that a manager will call you.... This bank has been very good to me. I don't bounce checks and hadn't done it in over 17 years. Well I screwed up my account and bounced a check. A big check. I went into the bank and they got things figured out for me and waived the fees. Great customer service. read more

This bank has no compassion. My father passed in March and has an auto loan with Desert Financial. I continued to make patents on the vehicle and was told by Ana or Samantha that I had to get the vertical refinance in my name. I asked if they would refinance me, and they said they couldn't refinance it in my name and was told they would not accept my payments. Payments were being made on time until they stopped expecting them. Last night, they came and picked up the vehicle, stating. I was not making payments,NO, they would not accept my payment!!!! read more

I've recently switched to Desert Financial in the past year or so and I've had a wonderful experience every time I visit this branch. They are so willing to help with anything you need. They are cheery and make a big effort to make sure you are happy about your experience in the branch. I have had good customer service here from the tellers the couple times I've been here. They even waived my fee for a cashier's check. It was only $5, but I'll take it. My only complaint is that the decor looks so industrial and cold. I would hate to work there. I know it's a credit union and not a cozy boutique, but something about it is really unappealing to me. Everyone is very professional, helpful, well trained and always willing to help with whatever I need. I wish I could say the same for the major banks in the area that I have tried to do business with. In each case, I had nothing but terrible service and major mistakes. They have been good to us. Yes, they always seem to have new people there and I have been fine with that for the most part. They have worked hard to be good both with business and with personal stuff. My friends, family, businesses all use them. We left Wells Fargo to go to them and it was the best choice we could have made. read more

When I thought no bank would ever give me an account, Desert didn't even flinch. My account was set-up in under 20 minutes, debit card in hand. Any no monthly fee's, what's not to love about this place. I can make deposits or pull out cash at almost any other credit union for free. read more

Wow, don't know where to even start. Been with them for 12 years and over the years I have been able to pull 5 loans out with them with no problems, until recently. Honestly, I can't believe how they treat their long time members. The branch manager at this location is a sack of crap along with her loan department officers who don't know there a$$ from the whole in the ground. Being a long time member and to have to be treated like there doing me a favor..no actually you should appreciate your members because we're the ones who are banking with you. Don't go to this credit union it's not worth your time, you won't get approve for crap even though your in good standings with ALL your loans and never been late, never defaulted and paid more then required on them. Signing up for an account with Desert Schools was a huge mistake from the start. Payments sent back several times because my "account not found"- tried serval times to set up Apple Pay, never worked and now while traveling I have tried several different co op locations to make a deposit and at every location I was told "card does not allow this transaction" so I called customer service. Spoke to 1st rep who verified all my information and was told he needed to send me to a different department to have an over ride, the second rep comes on the line and asks me to verify my information again at which time she tells me that the account number, which I had just given to the 1st rep and was reading directly off of my check is NOT correct- this goes on for several minutes at which point I ask for a manager. She puts me on hold - 23 min later of waiting I hang up and call back at which time I go thru everything again only to be told by a manager that I need to go and purchase a money order in order in order to use my own account. Yes I asked if the bank was going to cover the fees, since after all I am supposed to be able to go to any co op location and was told no. Closing my account on Monday. Can not wait. Do yourself a favor-- go somewhere--- anywhere else. read more

They are very courteous and have helped me numerous times do public notary, complex business transaction and large check deposits.

I've been a member of Desert Schools for 5 years I asked the teller to order a new pink card for me and she said come on in we don't have a wait. I went in and waited 10 minutes, then Sunshine helped me get a new card. Not only was it not the color I wanted but when I went to use it my card didn't work. After being on the phone 30 minutes being transferred around to 3 people my card is finally working since Sunshine didn't update accurate card information. read more
