Jerry came to our house to help us design everything from style, to fabric, to wood tone, to colors and specific treatments. He was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. We placed a significant order and they were exact and on time with their lead time quote. The installation and installers were also very professional and the quality of their work was excellent! Ed, the owner knew we were anxious as we we were moving into a new house and he called us to let us know they could install a day earlier if we wanted and we took him up on the offer. He called us again after the install to check on our satisfaction with the product and the workmanship! Ordered security doors and shutters. Doors installed a few days ago and look great. The installer was very good and took time to explain all the features. Shutters were supposed to come in on 20th and we were hopeful we would have window coverings before Christmas. We knew the company would be closing down for holiday break and when they didn't arrive on the 20th, our hopes were dimmed. Ed contacted us and told us the installer would postpone their vacation for a day so they could install if the shutters arrived on the 21st. Well, they didn't arrive and we'd given up hope of getting them before January. Ed stayed in touch even though he was out of town-he said the installers would postpone their trip again and if the shutters arrived before noon today that they would pick them up and install them. The installers called a few times with updates. Then they called to say the shutters had arrived this morning. They arrived around noon and came right over and installed them. I looked through all the companies on Yelp before I made the decision to buy from this company. I spoke with Ed and he was able to send me online a look at all the security doors they sell plus a price list for the doors. At this time of Covid and short supply of products, I was told it would be April before the door was installed and I made the call to Ed in December. I was disappointed in the huge delay, but it wasn't this companies fault. Much to my delight, about a week later I got a call from another company, the company Ed used to do the installation, to tell me the door could be put in in January! Unfortunately, I got another call telling me that the January date had to be changed as the installer had called out sick. We rescheduled for February. Then the company was shut down for a week due to a Covid outbreak. Finally on February 9th, the door was installed. The door was done with great care, exactly as I ordered it and the installer was quick and professional, he cleaned up the entire area when his work was done. I had two security doors installed with Desert Hills Window Coverings. The experience was extremely smooth from start to finish. Ed Sarkisian, the owner, took my call straight away and scheduled a visit to begin the process. A day later, someone came out to take precise measurements of the door frames where the doors would be installed. The gentlemen who came to measure was polite and very knowledgable. He made various recommendations that I wouldn't have even thought about. For example, he noticed we had a wreath on our front door, and he shared that they could add a built-in wreath hook to the security door. I first met with another screen door company that kept up-selling me on different screen doors and additional features that put the total price to almost $2k. I found Ed's company on Yelp. After quickly responding, he was very patient in educating me on various aspects of installing a screen door. Very pleased with Desert Hills Window Coverings! I sent a request for a quote for a sliding screen door and was sent a message by Ed and given a call within 10 minutes. He was able to come within 48 hours to inspect my door and give me a quote. Ed was extremely friendly and professional, he was able to answer any questions I had. They earned it by installing quality security doors and by the way they do a fantastic job on the install too. In a very timely manner Mike called to come measure for our screens and within a week and a half Mike called to schedule to put them in. We couldn't be happier with Desert Hills. We needed sun shades on the house and Ed came out to give us an estimate. He pointed out that the shades we currently had on part of the house ( purchased from the previous owner ) were put on backwards and not as effective as they should be. His no pressure approach and friendly manner sold us on his company. The install was great. They reversed the backwards shades and they even cleaned our windows before the install. This is our second time using this company.
