Last week I discovered another leak underneath the artificial turf dog run, so I contacted Prime Landscaping to discuss replacing my entire irrigation system. The owner responded the same day, was extremely professional, and prepared a very detailed and fair estimate to replace the system, including an additional anti-siphon valve, underground pvc instead of poly tubing, and separate line for my cactus and agave. His crew arrived two days later, they were professional, efficient, and clean. It was a two day job, and the owner was either present on site or in phone contact with me to provide updates and answer any questions the entire time. Having moved into a house in Sun City Palm Desert in late September, we realized that the very bare back patio needed some serious attention. We met Hector in October and really liked his approach to drawing up a new look for our garden. All we had were several of the usual boxwoods, caesalpinia, and a lime tree. The new image had to be colorful so we approved the 5 yellow trumpet flower bushes because we love the hummingbirds and pollinators so much. Two additional spots would be occupied by two very generous ocotillos, always a favorite. We needed front and back faucets to be upgraded and a regular maintenance team as the spring season requires. We made a date for work to start in early December due to all of our personal commitments. The initial crew worked to rearrange the rocks in the patio area and set up the plantings. They are hard-working and knowledgeable and we appreciated the changes they made. I did not have the best experience with this company. For the replacement turf in the backyard, they charged for gravel, sand, etc. but simply picked up the old turf and laid down the new turf with essentially no prep work so those costs were not necessary in their bid. It was very minimal work in the backyard and it was very expensive. They did not install any sand on the new turf so the turf doesn't stand up, and the seams between the old and new turf are not very nice. I called Queenan who was the sales rep and told him that I was not happy with the work, especially in the backyard. He wanted to come when no one is home, and then I gave him a couple of dates out about a week and half that would work and I never heard from again. I personally CANNOT recommend this company. This company is VERY, VERY expensive and the work is NOT high quality. I would pass on this company had I known how little the owner cares about the final work product.. I have lowered my rating because the owner is saying that he told me to reach out to him with more dates, but that is NOT what happened. He told me he would let me know if he can make the dates I gave him and he never contacted me again. His reply is not truthful. The bacvkyard looks very poor because he did not put any sand on the turf after they laid it so the grass doesn't stand up. Even now that I have written a review, he has not called to try and fix the backyard.
