The skill of Dr. Jugan is amazing. I had been dreading have 3 teeth extracted, along with a couple other things done. I expected to be in quite a bit of pain after surgery. I was sore, but never had any pain. Sedation was essential to me. I inhaled some gas, so I was out, even before the IV went in. When I was awakened I was surprised when I was told it was done. I had no recollection, and compared to other times I've had anesthesia, I felt clear headed when I was wheeled out to my friend's car, and heading home. Desert Maxillofacial runs like a 'well oiled' machine. Everyone I met there was friendly, and knew exactly what they were doing. A few days before the procedure I picked up 4 prescriptions. Fortunately, I had no need for pain meds. Communication is excellent. I receive well detailed Post Op instructions. Someone called me the day after the surgery to 'check in,' and to remind me to start the prescription mouth rinse, and do warm salt water rinses. I make a point of doing my research before choosing a doctor. So I am used to excellent care. I believe that Desert Maxillofacial is the best run medical practice I have been to. I would never dream of going anywhere else for implants and dental surgery. read more

Don't go here unless you want to get ripped off by their billing. No one knows what they are doing at this office. I paid over $500 deposit, yet my son had double coverage insurance and it's taken them almost 1 year to figure it out. They need to reimburse me and I've talked to their office at least 20+ times-they always say, "sorry, we will take care of it", and blame the insurance companies. We had an excellent experience at Desert Maxillofacial Center! Dr Jugan and his entire team were very attentive to our needs, questions, billing details, and concerns. From the moment we walked in with my son, the staff was friendly and attentive. Dr Jugan reviewed the treatment plan in detail, explained the risks, and addressed our concerns. On the day of surgery, everything went as planned. My son was in and out of surgery in about an hour. I had an appointment here 2 weeks ago with Dr.K. It was a consultation to discuss potential jaw surgery (I saw him last year - same thing). He was nice , HOWEVER...very shady business here . I had a 15-20 minute conversation with him about requesting jaw surgery through my insurance . He never used any instruments, took x-rays...NOTHING . He said "let's hold off on doing anything until we speak with insurance" and I agreed . I was literally there for maybe 20 minutes Max. When I left , they said I didn't owe anything and they would keep in touch. (I even thought that was strange ..what would I owe them for ? No service was done) . Two weeks later , I got a $250 bill in the mail! ($250 consultation fee) my insurance would only pay $114 and I'm expected to pay the remaining $136. FOR WHAT.....? DO NOT RECOMMEND this place . Very shady and unprofessional. Spoke with the "manager" and she was rude & did not care to resolve the issue . They will NOT tell you about their outrageous fees and then surprise you with a bill after the fact . read more

I was referred by an Endo due to a root-canal gone bad. The endo could not help, therefore a consultation at DMC. I had severe infection & bone-loss and needed tooth extracted, bone Graft & Implant. DMD Milan Jugan was fantastic. He along with his excellent staff were very thorough with the evaluation and treatment options. They reviewed pricing and schedule and the next week I had begun the much needed work. I am now 6 months post extraction, implant & my regular Dentist installed final tooth. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Some reviews have complained about office Staff & pricing. People: you get what you pay for and I would Highly Recommend this business. Let's face it, dental work can be very painful and uncomfortable. I have been fortunate in my life to have maybe two or three dentist that could not only take care of my dental issues, but do it with TLC. I am now adding another Dentist to my list. Dr. Jugan made my implant procedure painless. His concern and care to make sure that I was comfortable in his chair was very much appreciated. I've had implants done in the past by another specialist and was in pain for two weeks after the procedure. With Dr. Jugan I had no pain the next day, only had to take two Tylenols for pain and discomfort, I was able to go to my normal eating and other activities within 1 to 2 days. I like that before my implant surgery the prescriptions for antibiotics, and a special mouth rinse was available the night before at my pharmacy, so that way the day of the implant surgery I had everything I needed at home already. I even received a phone call the next day from the doctor himself to make sure that I was healing properly. If you are looking for a good dentist that cares about your dental needs, provides top of the line service and has a professional office staff that comes along with the package this is your place. read more

Went to have a tooth extracted. They had my insurance information ahead of time from my referring dentist. Did the in house consult and extraction same day. I was told how much I had to pay and what would not be covered. After the procedure I received a bill for nearly $1000 more. I asked why I owe more and they said they did not do a full verify with insurance and just used some chart. I called my insurance and they said they were still waiting on documentation for the remaining claim, which they denied because they did not receive. I had to call Maxillofacial back to tell them to send the documentation for the claim. A month later I get the bill again. I contact my insurance and they said they did not receive the documentation. Not really sure why I am doing their job for them. Still fighting to get them to do their work properly. I will not be returning here again. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. The front desk is unhelpful and flat out RUDE! I never leave reviews and can usually handle rude people but this lady" Norrine" was condescending and lacks general customer service skills. Basically made me feel as if I was an inconvenience to her and the staff because of my type of insurance and dental office I was coming from. Maybe she has something personal going on? But whatever the issue is there is no excuse for treating people rudely. I spoke to another staff member Stacey a few days prior and she was super helpful! The nurses took FOUR tries putting in IV for the anesthesia in my hand. FOUR. It caused serious bruising on both of my hands. Nurses were gossiping while putting in my IV and missed the vein several times. My recovery was very rough as well. Overall an OK place but if you are looking for exquisite care... do not go here. Dr. Jugan his nurse and his anesthesiologist have amazing bedside manners. I have heard such horrible things about other offices and how they literally kick you out of the door after your procedure, but this office makes you feel so comfortable when you walk in and make sure your well taken care of. I'm a couple months out from getting my 4 wisdoms out under sedation and I have to say that I am very happy with how the procedure went and how it has healed. I recovered quickly and never felt lost because the office gave me all the info and medication I needed to heal comfortably. The procedure itself was pleasant especially because I am usually terrible with dentists. I normally am able to take something to keep me calm but... I am pregnant. Despite my anxiety, panic, and crying Dr. Jugan extracted the tooth. It was probably the easiest extraction I have EVER had. The tooth was out before I knew it. After the numbness wore off I expected to be really sore... I wasn't. Healing was also a breeze. I spend several months during the winter in the desert and lucky ME. Eight + years and absolutely no dental emergencies. However, the first day we arrived at the end of October I broke a tooth. I found a dentist (who I should also review) and they recommended me to Dr. Jugan. They made time for me a couple of days later. Dr Jugan effortlessly gave me a needle in the roof of the mouth and if it had to be done, he is the guy. While the freezing took place he was chatty and jovial. If I can give negative stars I would. Terribly unprofessional. It all started with Norrine at the front desk. Had to make multiple calls yesterday to get information from her instead of her laying it all out in front of us. Never stated there would be a $200+ fee for a consultation to discuss pulling a wisdom tooth. Dr milan Jugan came into the room after X-rays were taken. First thing out of his mouth was how he HATES DELTA DENTAL THAT HE SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH. Kept telling us 75% of the time delta dental will pay the fees associated with the procedure. But then kept saying that 25% of the time they don't pay. Inferring that if things go south he's covered with billing us personally. We asked if he signed a contract and accepted a price for the procedure with delta dental and he said HE HAD TO. we told Norrine that they never disclosed a fee for the consult and she said she would make sure they wouldn't bill us after reviewing the phone calls if they hadn't disclosed the fee with us. Which they didn't. We would have never came if we knew there would be a $200+ fee for discussing a extraction of a wisdom tooth. We had already been treated rudely by Norrine and now we were getting yelled at by the Doctor because we actually asked questions that they probably never get asked. Bad vibes all around. We asked to take the X-rays and leave. They had us wait for 10 minutes while the doctor wrote up the information. The doctor then came out as we were telling the front desk that they never said anything about the consultation fee. He walked out of the back and SCREAMED THATS BULL SHIT. GOT INTO OUR FACE AGGRESSIVELY LIKE HE WAS ABOUT TO FIGHT US IN HIS OWN WAITING ROOM. TELLING US WE NEED TO GO TO DENTAL SCHOOL WE DONT KNOW WHAT WERE TALKING ABOUT. Terrible experience. read more

I was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr Jugan by my insurance company as a plan provider. I needed a tooth extraction and implant. Every step thru this process has been positive. I was able to schedule appointments readily and the staff would accommodate my schedule. Every detail has been explained along the way. Dr Jugan is so personable, and considered every question I had, followed by clear answers. The staff are friendly, happy, professional, and knowledgable. Going into this I doubted I would describe the process as pleasant, but that is indeed how it has been. I have been an RN for over 40 years, and do not take my health care decisions lightly. Don't go here! CHECK YOUR INSURANCE! I agree with Cherrie C, shady business. I had an issue with a refund that took 6 months to finally get! Make sure to review your insurance and what you should be paying. They'll charge you for certain things (fancy x-ray instead of regular x-ray) and not report it to the insurance because it isn't covered by the insurance. read more

I came to Dr. Jugan to get my wisdom teeth removed about a week ago. Naturally, I had watched a million and one videos on YouTube about wisdom teeth removal and I was terrified. Not only were all of my questions answer, but they also made me feel incredibly comfortable. Dr. Jugan clearly explained to me exactly how the procedure would be done and I was given a clear list of how to prepare for the procedure (wear dark clothes the day of, don't eat or drink after midnight, things like that). On the day of my surgery I was given a super comfortable, heated blanket and the staff was very friendly and talked me through the whole process. After the surgery I was pretty loopy, but I distinctly remember telling the entire staff how awesome they were and how thankful I was! For the next few days after the surgery I was expecting to be in pain (because of the YouTube videos I watched) but that was not the case at all. In all honesty, I felt almost no pain at all! The only thing that did happen was that I was pretty swollen, which is normal of course. I didn't even feel like they took my teeth out, which was amazing! Today I went in for my final appointment to make sure everything was going great and that I was healing well, which I was. My entire experience here was fantastic; in fact, I'm actually sad that I won't be having another appointment. The staff is absolutely incredible and I truly believe that if I had gone anywhere else I wouldn't have had such an amazing experience! I feel safe during my appointments because of their entry setup that includes confirming patient temperature. Office staff are very friendly and helpful. I needed an implant and started getting my Botox there. They use the latest technology and are very thorough in all aspects of procedure. All my questions were answered. I chose to be asleep during the procedure and had no pain. I trust Dr Jugan to be a highly skilled surgeon ready to handle any complication. His staff are very warm and compassionate. I feel well taken care of every time I visit for follow ups, like one of the family. His staff stayed with me during recovery until I was ready to go home. The office is very clean and orderly. Botox is administer by Dr Jugan not a nurse like in some facilities. I like that i get the best there is for that procedure as well. read more

I would highly recommend Dr.Jugan to anyone that needs an oral surgeon. My son is 2 years old and tongue-tie and It was extremely difficult to find anyone that was willing to do a frenectomy at his age. We were feeling hopeless until we were referred to Dr Jugan. After our consultation he agreed to do the procedure and was very confident on the outcome. He was personable and had very good bedside manners. The entire staff was great from the front desk to the nursing staff. Very friendly and welcoming. We also had an emergency after hour call at 4am and he was available and did a follow up call the next day to make sure my son was okay. I loved my experience at Dr. Jugan's office. I was very over due to get my wisdom teeth removed, from start to finish everyone was more than helpful in my experience. Went in to the office for an consultation after I had been given the information on the phone that they would accept my insurance only to find out that they were out of network which meant that they wouldn't be able to tell me any thing about costs of an extraction with out paying a $325 consultation fee.
