I lost a crown several years ago and unfortunately had to wait for medi-care to kick in before I could afford to have it replaced. In the meantime the base had worn down so far my new dentist [I relocate here about the time I lost the crown] said I needed a root canal. I was not happy to hear that but I wanted my tooth fixed. IDS was the suggested office so I had the procedure done. I did some research watching doctor and patient review videos and learned a root canal is not as bad as the age old stories portend so I was more at ease. And since my root was not or never had been infected which as I understand is the reason a root canal may hurt to have done in the first place, the experience was not unpleasant at all. Doctor Silvestrin did my procedure and at the end he asked how it went and I replied "piece of cake". The initial deep shots of course didn't feel great but otherwise everything was fine. The worst part if anything was the clamping of the tooth and dental dam to push down my gum and that is just more a feeling of pressure rather than any pain. Never even needed any follow up pain meds once the Novocaine wore off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've read some reviews saying the office is competent but cold and impersonal. Worst dental experience I had. Went in for a root canal left with with a mangle mess of a tooth. They will be hearing from the Ca Board of Dentistry. Unfortunately I could not give ZERO Stars in order to post!!! I had a dental implant by Dr. Sahl in 2019. In late April of 2024 it failed. The tooth became infected and needed to see him immediately. I was told the earliest I could see him was 2 weeks....DID I MENTION IT WAS INFECTED. I was able to get in to see a different Periodontist who had to remove the implant and treat me for the infection. She suggested I contact the original Periodontist( Dr. Sahl) and let him know how he would like to proceed, as she informed me that all implants by her office were guaranteed for the life of the patient. I was told by Inland Dental there would be a consultation fee, which I refused to pay. They then refused to see me, even though they had no idea I had seen another Periodontist. For all they knew, it was still infected, yet could not bring themselves to see me without payment. In my opinion, this was totally unethical. I had a severely infected, partially impacted wisdom tooth. Worst pain of my life. These folks got me in the next day and did an extraction under local anesthesia. It took all of five minutes and I felt absolutely nothing. The staff was incredible and eased me (I am a highly anxious person). Luck isn't something I associate with dental work. So when I consider how great the care I received was I can't say that I just got lucky. I came in for a root canal and I had prepared myself for an uncomfortable experience. Everyone was pleasant and professional but that wasn't going to make the dental work any less uncomfortable. This leads me to why I wrote this review. My root canal was absolutely pain-free with no residual discomfort in the days that followed. I kept waiting for my luck to run out but again, luck had nothing to do with it. These guys are on top of their game! read more

They were very un-accomodating with me. My claustrophobia makes it difficult to lie flat for the procedure. They would not let me lie up even a little. Dentist said he couldn't work that way. I tried but it triggered my anxiety and I sat up and shook for 15 minutes until I could calm down. Find another endodontist!!!! read more

Went for a consultation and was told my insurance would need to be contacted. This was in November. I had called multiple times in December and January. Once I finally got through to the appropriate person, I was told they hadn't heard back still. While I understand that isn't their fault, I'm not sure why I wasn't notified it was taking a while so I could possibly help move it forward like she told me to try to do when I finally got her on the phone. Was referred here by my dentist to get some periodental work done behind my lower molars. Dr. Saul is great as were the assistants helping with the procedure. I'd give them a 5. Getting the staff to deal with my insurance (Anthem) has been terrible. Just found out that Anthem is waiting on information from IDS for procedures done in Oct and Nov. I called IDS to make sure they sent them the information and they said they only do things by mail and would mail it to them. Who in this day and age doesn't do thing electronically. Anthem said they would accept a phone call! Wonder if this is a way to keep the over payment that I already paid them!?! read more

I've had several root canals over the years with 100% success. That said, with over 5700 endodontists in the U.S. -- DON'T GO TO THIS ONE! Really disappointed. Silvestrin was rough and inconsiderate. Halfway through the procedure, with an open tooth, jaw locked open, and a mouth full of equipment, he left the room for about 15 minutes. Super inconsiderate to leave a patient like that. My routine root canal should not have been painful or uncomfortable at all. Root canal therapy has come a long way since the French introduction in the 1700s. None of it, including the shots, should be painful with a light touch, a bit of patience, and some gentle care by the dentist. Never again at this place. The girls were mostly nice, office was clean, however I waited just shy of 3 hours and drove an hour to get to this place. I just got told I won't be able to be seen! I was even taken back and put into 2 different chairs, the second chair right before they told me they couldn't see me after ask that waiting! why did they even bother to take me back again? I am livid! This is all because of miscommunication between this place and my dentist's office. I won't be returning. How is it i could get the referral sent from my dentist's office sent over correctly right away, but 3 employees here couldn't? Inexcusable! I kept asking them for updates as well, and felt like I was bothering them. Look what good it did?! I also got questioned why i didn't come in sooner for treatment, as if they had the right to do that with their incompetency! We all have lives... People get injured, move, etc. I've had multiple concussions and have moved 3x in the past 2 yrs... Not exactly by plan. I don't need extra on my plate from medical professionals that are supposed to be of service (Though to be fair, these are front office people, not med professionals). These people clearly haven't been trained. And though he was nice enough, watch out for the decrepit, crypt- creeper looking fellow that's still practicing. He looks as though he should've retired like 20 yrs ago. Also, a father showed up with his teenage sons who were sniffling, coughing and sneezing i'im the waiting area, which of course, he adamantly denied. The pompous, machismo donkey walked in, acting like he had precedence over all of us in the waiting room as well! Not cool, at all. Whatever. So pissed off. Gas prices are high, I'm in pain and I have to put premium gas in my car old crap car. Who will compensate for my time and money wasted? Too freaking bad no one knows how to do their job anymore! What a waste... such a nice office. And who tries to do bone grafts on teenagers getting wisdom teeth out? They are young patients without bone loss. Seems unnecessary. Couldn't help but overhear. Beware of this place. Looks can be deceiving... Update: after running errands that could've been done whilst waiting almost 3 hrs, I ended up driving home, in the snow. I went in today to have a consultation with Dr. Tory. The consultation was very thorough. Then the Office Team reviewed the payment options which is typical protocol. I couldn't get an appt for my Root Canal for another 11 days. The office manager remembered took that to heart. Within 2 hours, I received a phone call that someone had cancelled. I immediately drove back to IDS to have the Root Canal taken care of. Dr. Tory and Teri were super thorough, caring, sensitive and extremely professional in taking care of my dental needs. If I could give them 10 stars for this experience today, I certainly would. They have my stamp of approval. Many thanks to IDS for helping me out. I arrived a few minutes early . Was taken to a room in the back. I was told that the Dr would be right with me. I waited for over 40 minutes. My appointment was at 4:30 pm. At 5:15 I still had not been attended to. While I continued to wait, I over heard the female staff laughing and cracking jokes about their personal life all the way from the where they were in the front . Finally at 5pm I was told there was one more patient ahead of me yet the Dr was still drilling in another room. The office was now closed at 5pm. I was then asked to come back tomorrow. I already took time off of work only to be left waiting. I would not recommend this place and I let the staff know this. They were negligent and unprofessional and lacked customer service. read more

I had to have a root canal done. That's never fun. I saw Dr. Silvestrin. He was awesome. He did a great job. I've had a couple of root canals before. One was just awful. But Dr. Silvestrin and his assistant, Patti, made this experience very nice. They had a great calming effect on me. I was referred here to get my bottom two wisdom teeth removed. After a misunderstanding regarding my appointment, Dr. Conover and his staff were very understanding and were able to accommodate me for oral surgery the very next day! I was extremely nervous going in, since I had never been sedated before. Dr. Conover was very kind and was able to ease my anxiety with his compassionate and understanding demeanor. I even brought a stuffed animal in for comfort and he said, "Does your little friend need an IV too?" which made me laugh. His staff are also a kind bunch and they happily answered any and all questions that I had for them. After the procedure, his staff thoroughly explained post-op care to me and my mother. I was wearing a Metallica shirt at the time and they even put on one of their songs for me when I came out of sedation! They made me feel welcome and comfortable for the duration of my visit. I can't recommend this office, doctors and staff more. I was referred to them due to 2 potential broken molars. I have some dental trauma from a few years ago and a dentist not believing me that I could feel everything. To say I was nervous is an understatement. The office got me in right away, I never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting area. I had multi day appointments since I had to see 3 specialists. I started with Dr. Sahl in Peri who confirmed 1 tooth couldn't be saved, he referred me to surgeon for extraction. I then saw Dr. Tory in Endo for potential saving/re-treat of root canal- easiest root canal ever, I'm pretty sure I fell asleep, but I could hear him sweetly teaching the staff what he was doing and in part teaching me every step of the way. Surgery was next with Dr. Evans, it immediately felt like we were long time friends. Surgery went perfect and I didn't feel a thing! During all appointments the staff is so comforting, helpful and you can tell they genuinely love working here. Thank you all! read more

The worst dental office I've ever encountered. Clearly overcharged for services NOT done, will not give a refund. Also, I was not told until my appointment that this was a two-visit procedure to deep clean my teeth and gums. They did not make a second appointment for me until my first visit was over. The second appointment to complete the other half of my mouth was in 2.5 months! Really! So, they knew this was a two-visit treatment but didn't think they should have made the 2 appointments within a week or two at the most from each other. Horrible service. I would stay away. This is where you want to go for root canal's and other Dental Specialties....The office is the cleanest most state of the art I have ever witnessed. The front office are friendly informative and accurate. Everything is explained up front cost-post op ect. Dr Silvestrin is as good as they get...even better...right to the point here is your x-ray here is your problem do you want to save your tooth. He did an outstanding job considering he had to drill through my bridge, and in 2 weeks all I need is for my General Dentist to seal the temp that was placed. Michael his dental assistant I have known for over 3 years. I first met him when he was working front office next door at Inland Dental Center ( another great Dentistry...Hi Dr Glick hope you are well) Michael has a friendly outgoing personality that helps ease the anxiety and stress of sitting in that dentist chair while Dr Silvestrin works his magic. I was referred to this office for two root canals and they were the nicest. They made sure to do both on the same day so i wouldn't have to come back another day. The dentist was polite and gentle, he explained every thing and answered all my questions, even recommended i have another tooth checked out by my primary dentist before it leads to another root canal. read more

My husband had to have immediate surgery due to a cracked root. Dr Mark Conover had him come in for X-rays and performed the extraction that same day. He was kind , caring and thorough. He determined no bone graft or implant was necessary, so he prepped for a new bridge. The office staff checked our insurance benefits and called for authorization so they could submit the claim directly. We ended up paying hundreds less than we were originally told by a different provider. I'm sure we'll go back to Dr Conover should we need other special dentistry. read more

The office is clean and modern. However, I do not recommend anyone I know to go there for dental care. Poor communications among front office staffs, frequent unannounced changes to their schedule only find out when you arrive at the office. I was extremely nervous about my appointment to have a lower back molar extracted because my spinal injury was going to prevent me lying back in the chair. However, dentist Mark Conover was able to make me comfortable by allowing me to sit up with a cushion behind my back. He was very professional, kind - and funny which brought my anxiety blood pressure down to near normality. I was surprised: he had the offending tooth out in a jiffy. Mr Conover was ably assisted by Nurse Terry who was sweet and as soothing as could be! Front Office staff Chris, Jen and Giselle made sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks team! Do not go to this dentist office. They do bad work. They always give you the run around. I had major dental work done through them about 2 years ago. They gave me an estimate for all the work, I agreed and paid it. A few months after the work was done they send me a bill for over $300 dollars because they did not bill me correctly. I went a while disputing with them payment as I didn t think I should have to pay it because they didn t know what they were doing. One day they called asking for payment and I told them that my crown had been hurting and all of a sudden they said I only owed them $100 instead of $300. I paid the $100 to stop the billing letters and annoying phone calls. The work originally done was, they bonded 3 of my chipped teeth and did a crown and root canal on another. 2 weeks later the bonding form the newly bonded teeth chipped. I went back and they re bonded the tooth. 5-6 months later all the teeth that they bonded were chipped again. The crown and root canal that they did started to hurt a few months ago so I went in so they could fix it. I saw a dentist and he said I had to see the endodontist so he could figure out why there was pain. He also said there might be a simple fix without having to re do the root canal. They sat me back in the lobby and right away the billing lady called me in and wanted to give me an estimate for a new root canal. I hadn t even seen the Doctor to see if there was a simple fix and they were already scheming for me to pay for a new one. A root canal should not have to be re done every two years, the original one was not done right and they were not willing to fix it. They don t guarantee their work which ends up costing you lots of money. Do not go to this office. read more
