She made some very precise suggestions about scheduled actions that could produce better outcomes in future. Left work early for my first appointment with them but ended up highly dissatisfied and disappointed with the whole experience. I was told my appointment had to be rescheduled due to being short a hygienist and could possibly just get X-rays only. I was then told they were having issues finding my insurance since October last yr which was news to me, I would've gladly gave that information especially with then being told I'm out-of-network with them. I just thought this whole process could've been prevented with a more proactive team, especially with it being very difficult leaving work just for this. read more

I was a pioneer with Invisalign in the 1990s, honestly I can't ever remember the orgininal dentist's name at this point (NYC). Since that time every few years I orders a 4-pack box of Vivera retainers so that my lower teeth remain straight. As a corporate guy, I have been relocated many times, however I was always able to have my current dentist order my retainers with very little drama. Last time the Rx was filled was 2020-08-19 (before COVID). I have moved again and trying to order another box of Vivera Retainers #549585 from my current Dentist, Mountainside Dental Group, in Rancho Mirage and LaQunita, CA. I was required by Mountainside to have teeth scanned, which I has not been requested in the past - NEVER. So I drove to the La Quinta location, 35 minutes away, for the scan and have not heard back from Dr. Huh or Dr. Wolfram. Silence. Very poor follow-up or guidance by the practice. read more

Said he has no interest in buying new equipment. Charged $282 for x-rays, Almost three times as much I have ever paid and with latest technology equipment. 1 Star Doctors examination -1 Star Spent 10 seconds and charged $91. April 21, 2021 As a daughter of a Beverly Hills dentist who specialized in "crown and bridge," I had the opportunity on many occasions to see first-hand how a dental office should be run. The atmosphere that I remember in my father's dental office was professional but friendly, and everyone seemed not only happy, but interested in their patients. The atmosphere at Plaza Dental felt very similar to my father's office. From the moment I walked into the Plaza Dental office I was greeted with a smile. The receptionist asked how I was feeling, if I had any questions, and if I needed anything. She really seemed to "listen" and was interested in me. The personnel in the office were prepared for my arrival. One of the dental assistants prepared me for treatment prior to the doctor entering the room. The dentist introduced himself, and provided information regarding his dental training. The dentists was very calm and seemed to coordinate his efforts with the dental assistant. The continued to explain what he was doing, asked if I had any questions, and if I felt any pain or felt uncomfortable. After observing my tooth the dentist called in the endodontist to get an opinion regarding the need to do a root canal or perhaps remove the tooth due to the fact that there was little or no bone. After the endodontist departed, to my surprise, a third specialist stepped in, looked at the sophisticated X-ray as well as my mouth. Even though I had experienced the best dental treatment, I never had the opportunity of not one, but three specialist provide their opinion. I was going to Dr. Long in La Quinta for years. He has retired. So Melinda from Mountainside Dental Group called me about a cancellation she had. I was very happy that she took the time to do that because she knows I don't like to make appointments. I had been going to Dr. Long for many years. My Insurance changed and I was assigned another Dentist. My teeth were fine-no pain what so ever. I was getting check-ups every six months! The new "Denistry" said I needed a "Root Canal". That was a disaster boarderlining on malpractice. I was left with terrible tooth pain-where there was NO pain or problems with before! In fact, this "Mill" wanted to "fix" the "Problem" (they caused) with an Implant that would cost thousands more!! I changed insurance and returned to Dr.Longs - now Mountainview Denistry. They re-did the Root Canal/Filling. No more hellish pain!!! I would highly recommend this Denistry for their Honesty and Professionalism!! read more

Dr Long is great but a front office staff member is the reason I'm changing dentists. I needed a crown and had a temp put on. I told them up front I wasn't in a position to pay for the crown in full and it would have to wait a while. They took the $350 deposit and ordered the crown. When it came in they called and wanted me to come have it put in. Again I told them it would have to wait until I have the money. The lady in the office said fine. Then a day or two later they called back and said if I wanted I could come in have the crown put in and make a few monthly payments. I said, "Great". When I got there they did the work and when I was done I wrote them a check for $150, which was just about half of the balance still owed. The front office girl said she needed the payment in full. I told her I was called and told that I could make it in two monthly payments. She said that was when we first started and had I been making monthly payments since then it would have been paid off already. SO SHE NEEDED THE BALANCE IN FULL. I told her I didn't have the money, and she told me to go home get a credit card and call her with the number before the end of the business day. Needless to say, I didn't...but we eventually paid...just because of her I let it slide longer than I would have normally and SHE ALONE LOST DR. LONG A PATIENT!
