The doctors are fantastic, but when it comes to the receptionist, nurses, or answering your calls, you might want to be patient. It seems like after about 40 minutes, someone usually answers, but then it hangs up. This might not be the best spot to schedule an appointment. Customer service is poor with long wait times, and there are no explanations or updates. On one occasion, we were scolded by a PA for being 10 minutes late. Natasha Rohani did not clarify that she was not a doctor, which I only discovered after checking the website. The phone staff also failed to correct me that she was not a dr. Her demeanor was rude and condescending, unlike previous encounters with doctors at the clinic who were kind and caring. The only thing that kept us coming back despite the long wait times was the kindness of the doctors, but Natasha Rohani was a horrible exception. To top it off, I had to wait 10 minutes to receive a copy of my records while the checkout person attended to someone on the phone, while my baby was crying. read more

After the experience of losing our 1sf daughter, we were really picky about the pediatrician we wanted for our rainbow baby. He had initially picked a different office. The day my rainbow was born, Dr. Perez was the attending physician for our daughter the days we were in the hospital. We were so overwhelmed with her level of care, the questions Ashe asked.. etc. we decided that we wanted Dr. Perez to care for our daughter. Our daughter is almost 3 and she is thriving. We've been coming here for about 2 years now and are happy with the care! My two girls see Natasha Rohani. Natasha is sweet, knowledgeable, and interacts well with my girls. They like her a lot. She spends the time needed and I never feel rushed. I know other reviews have commented on long wait times and not being able to get through on the phone but I guess we've been lucky. We don't typically wait long in the room and I've been able to get through without much issue to schedule, even for same day sick visits. Overall, the rest of the staff we've had are nice as well. We've been taking my son to DVP since he was a tiny baby. I have never had a negative experience here and they are very accommodating if you need to be seen for a sick exam day of. We recently saw Dr. Ky for my son's 3 year check up. He was very nice, patient and answered all of my questions. I will say the wait time on the phone can get kind of lengthy, but when it was time to schedule his check up I went to their website and filled out a form for them to call me to schedule the visit. They called first thing the next morning and it bypassed me having to sit on the phone forever to schedule. Overall, we are very happy with this establishment. read more

We have two littles and ever since they were born, they had both seen Dr. Burford until she retired. Now they see Dr. Ky. While we miss Dr. Burford, we also love Dr. Ky and couldn't be happier with our choice of pediatrician. He is very thorough, kind and patient with our children! Are wait times long? Yes, they can be - just like they can be at any Doctors office. Scheduling a time earlier in the morning is an easy way to avoid a longer wait time. The front office, PA staff, and physicians are all wonderful and we have never had a bad experience here. There was even one time, as a new mom, I forgot my baby's diaper bag. They provided me with diapers and wipes and reassured me that this wasn't the first time something like this happened. My son just recently had his last visit with Dr. Blank, and I just wanted to say a BIG Thank You for all the great service, care and empathy he provided over the years. We have been seeing Dr. Blank since my son was only a few months old(he is now 18), and those first few years we practically lived at the Desert Valley Pediatrics offices. We were only ever told the straight facts of any particular visit, in which we could then make the best and most informed decisions we could with the information we had(no BS). Very few people have I met I would say qualify as a "good man", but Dr. Blank is one such person. I have also received no less then probably five phone calls over the years from Dr. Blank directly. I never once asked to be contacted by him, but he felt it best to speak to me directly in regards to whatever the issue was at the time(sick status, referrals, med request, etc). If I live to be a 100, I will probably NEVER hear directly from another Doctor in this lifetime, as that is something that just isn't done, at least in my experience(for average working class people). We have seen a few other Doctors at DVP over the years when Dr. Blank was booked and we needed to see someone, and while some Doctors were better than others, they all gave quality service(most with less wait times). Same goes for the office staff, as like I said, we lived here when my son was little as he had many health issues, but I can't think of any bad experiences with any staff. Once my son reached 10 or so, his sick issues were all but gone, and then we only came for well visits and the occasional sick ones. And yes, the wait times can be insane for Dr. Blank, as he gives every patient 110%, and that takes time. As my son got older and only had well visits, he still spent ages asking questions and taking his time, even when it wasn't really required. I would actually try to get him to finish up faster, as I knew what it was like to be waiting hours with a sick baby and needing help, but he still gave us his 110%. read more

Really poor service--Phone answering, response times, follow up by staff/dr's and getting test results are horrible. Had our daughter swabbed for a test, couldn't get access to the lab results anywhere, so we called multiple times and couldn't get through, that took 30min to receive information. Then the meds they prescribed caused an allergic reaction, so another several days of trying to get through to speak to someone and we still don't have a prescribed alternative for infections. We're changing our provider, and will gladly take our "insurance covered" daughter to someone else. read more

Located in Centennial Hills Hospital. I've been coming here for years. Friendly and professional staff. Spotless exam rooms. One waiting room designated for sick patients and a separate one for checkups, flu shots etc. A few tvs to keep the little ones occupied while they wait. Personally, I love the views from the waiting room. (see my pic) My only gripe is even if you arrive on time (or early) you won't see the Doctor until 30-40 minutes after your scheduled appointment time. So plan on staying a while. Other than that, all positive experiences when we visit. My kids love the sugar-free lollipops at the end. :) read more

She is amazing. She calls to check up on my kids after tests and referrals. She is kind and no-no sense (it's a Texas thing) and she's there to help. If you want to puff up your mommy and daddy egos to this woman, don't. She's not going to fluff or soothe you or your child--it's not her job. Her job is to prevent and assist in the sick and well check needs of the child. Plain and simple. She has always been there for me and my children over 5 years now, and any of the other doctors have been readily available to assist me when needed, as well. read more

My son has been a patient at Desert Valley Pediatrics since he was born. We started with Dr. Weiner 12 years ago. Currently a patient of Dr. Rachel. My son has had breathing issues for quite some time. Couldn't breathe through his nose at all. Multiple doctors at this office kept saying they were allergies "get this prescription, use a humidifier etc..." We've treated him for allergies for years. After this new prescription wasn't working, I made an appointment to see an ENT named Dr. Lomax. I took us a while to get an appointment, but I am so thankful for him. Within minutes he figured out that he didn't have allergies AT ALL but instead it was a severely enlarged adenoid that required surgical removal. After the surgery, Dr. Lomax was walking me back to the recovery room to see my son and had told me that it was one of the biggest adenoids he has ever seen! My question is, why did this never occur to them? After treating allergies for YEARS and nothing working. It's a common problem for children. Why did not a single doctor we've seen (Choladakis, Greenspon, Blank, Nykaro) not a single one thought there was something else. Just keep pumping him full of medication! I'm so disappointed and mad at this office. Will never be returning and will never recommend another person to this office! On the other hand, we're still recovering but I'm am beyond grateful for doctors such as Dr. Lomax who gave my son the ability to breathe again and a better quality of life without pumping him full of pills. read more

I don't see the beef with this place. Although the hold is very long for appointments they always offer same day appts. The staff is very professional and to the point. We have seen a variety of doctors and all of them were so kind and helpful. (So are the nurses and front desk). Dr Greenspon will always be our girl. And as someone who works in the medical field y'all need to UNDERSTAND that these doctors are here to help sick and well patients all at once. My company recently switched to Aetna and that definitely brought down value of doctor offices we visit. My husband and I travel for work and I had my mom visiting to care for my children while we are out. It's been really dusty in Vegas and my son's asthma is really bad. He got wheezy and couldn't really breathe well. My mom made an appt and they wouldn't allow my son to be seen by the doctor unless his parents were here. I just landed from San Jose on a flight and had to come in and bring him in AGAIN just to be seen. These place is also filled with other angry patients. The girl at the front desk tried to get my son seen and was nice. But the Doctor was the rude one. I just can't imagine a doctor refusing someone with insurance and in care with an adult care who is capable of bringing him in. Don't bring your children here. This place has a strict vaccination policy. If you refuse or postpone vaccinations they will not provide service to you. Vaccinations are the bread and butter to any pediatric practice. I usually take my kids to the Summerlin location with specific doctors. Yesterday was a last minute appointment so I took what I could get. This is my second shitty experience at the centennial location. I live in centennial and drive all the way to Summerlin to avoid this office. Dr Perez and her MA were super rude. The MA had an attitude the minute we got there. I'm assuming because my appointment was at 4:20 and they close at 5pm. (I was on time) I don't think she belongs at a peds office at all. She was super impatient with my 6 year old who was totally behaving. I am a medical assistant myself and would NEVER treat my patients the way she treated my 6 year old. Dr Perez straight up rolled her eyes when I stated my concerns & why I brought my child in. Horrible service especially since they work with KIDS. read more

I usually visit the clinic in Summerlin because it is close, but if I need Dr. Blank on a certain day and he happens to be at the Centennial location, then I schedule an appointment here. Similar to my Desert Valley Pediatrics review in Summerlin: Our pediatrician is Dr. Blank, and for him alone, I give 5 shiny stars. He is very professional, knowledgable, gentle & friendly to my 2 kids. I always come in with a long list of questions and he is very willing to answer every one of them with a smile. The nurses and office staff are an average of 3. Some are really friendly and others look/act like they wish they were elsewhere. Since they are working with kids, I just expect them to be more approachable and warmhearted. Like all doctor offices, you spend a lot of time waiting in the waiting room regardless of your appointment time. But, at least this office has a partition between the healthy and sick waiting rooms with separate entrances. I also like the fact that there aren't toys in this room because who knows how often those are sanitized. So I recommend bringing your own if you need to keep your child occupied. But, there is a TV in the waiting room programmed on a kid friendly channel, and who can resist an episode of Dora the Explorer. The Centennial clinic shares the parking lot with the Centennial Hospital and other clinics, but there is always plenty of parking every time I have visited this location. Telephone appointments are easy to make, and they always call with a friendly reminder days before. I tend to be an over cautious parent and make appointments for everything. I actually don't dread these doctors' visits, my poor son does and I understand why. They vaccinate them for everything under the sun nowadays and it pains me when I have to force him to sit through it. My favorite part about this pediatrics office is there double sided entrance. One entrance for sick children and the other side for the non-sick kids. There was nothing worse than sitting in the old pediatrician's office next the sneezing, coughing, snotting child and praying your kid doesn't catch it. And vice versa, I didn't want to have to be the parent with the sick child while the well kids are running around. We see Dr. Greenspun and we really enjoy her. We have seen Dr. Key (sp) once, only because Greenspun was unavailable. She is kind and helpful, and answers the many questions I have. I am no expert because this is my first child, so it is nice being able to get answers from a professional rather than google, if you know what I mean. Most of the nurses are friendly and nice, we've only run into a couple who seemed unhappy, but who knows if they were just having a bad day. I can imagine it gets hard to work with so many different kids every day. The office is rather large as well as the patient rooms. Not much kid friendly décor, but they make it colorful. Once you get into the room to wait for the doctor it seems that it has been rather long waits. This most recent visit we waited for about 30-45 minutes. My son actually fell asleep waiting. So far we love this office and we will continue to come see Dr. Greenspun. read more

My daughter had her "new established" visit today at Desert Valley Pediatrics. When arriving for her appointment, the receptionist was very rude. The receptionist told us, the provider that my daughter is scheduled to see is not there. The receptionist stated we should have been contacted about the cancelation. In turn we said we did not, no emails, no phone calls or text messages. She continued in stating we will not be seen today. After waiting for a month, it is disheartening to have your first interaction as a matter fact, nonchalant "not my problem" attitude. I do hope the lack of customer service of the receptionist improves as she is the first person seen by parents and patients. read more

As of 4/28/2023, the mask policy seems to be more relaxed. Signs are still on the door but the front offices ladies were not wearing masks. I walked in without a mask and was not asked to put one on. I've been taking my littles here for about 9 months. We see Dr. Finger and we've been satisfied so far. It is a long wait on hold sometimes to call and make an appointment, but we've always been seen on time or close to it. We make our appointments first thing in the morning so we can get in and out before they get backed up. My only complaint with the Centennial location is that it's so dirty. The walls are covered in dirty footprints and shoe marks and the floors are so gross. My kids' feet are black from walking around the room. It's honestly quite shocking they allow the place to build that kind of filth considering it's a doctor's office and there are babies in and out all day. But overall, we're happy here. The nurses are so nice with our kids and do a good job at keeping them relaxed during their vitals. We've never felt rushed by Dr. Finger and she has answered all of our questions and is always open for discussion read more

1st off we really do like Dr Yu! But sadly we will not be returning to this office anymore. We had an appointment at 11:30 on Monday 8/1/22 at 11:30 and when we arrived on time we're told and it was written up on the board that Dr Yu was 1 hour and 40 minutes behind. The lobby was super full so I asked if we can reschedule because that is a long time to wait with a kiddo. Sure thing rescheduled for Friday 8/5/22 at 11:30. I called Friday morning at 9:30 to see if he was behind today. After being on hold for 45 minutes was told yes an hour. I asked to reschedule as my daughter has another appointment at 1 and if they are not going to see her until 12:30 we won't make our other appointment. I was told no I would be charged for a no call no show and it would be $50. Emi said I can come in and sign in and then reschedule and not be charged the $50. Really??? Ok so I got there at 11:15 signed in and looked at the board yep her is an hour behind. The other lady said nope we would be charged. What?? So we are on time up again 2 time in 5 days we would have to wait an hour plus?? I get it things happen but I was willing to reschedule and get you guys caught back up and not waste the gas money to just sit in a full lobby and not be seen for an hour after our appointment. Come on you guys can do better then that! Plus you charge us for wanting to NOT wait and reschedule as I get it things happen! But to charge $50 when I did call 2 hours before the appointment to just see if the appointment was on time and when it wasn't to reschedule! My little baby girl sees Dr Chib. So far, we have great experiences each time with her doctor. I enjoy taking my daughter to her well check visits except I get a little nervous when she cries over her vaccines. But that's normal! I haven't had any problems with any of the DVP staff members.
