Awful practice. From start to finish the practice was not good. Online check in was awful, paperwork packets required twice even though I spent an hour online doing it the day prior. Hold times to get in were 20 minutes. Staff was rude in the office. Our nurse was very rude to my husband when he was trying to hold down out 2 year old for vaccines. The PA wrote prescriptions wrong on paper and my 5 month old and by the time we got to CVS they were closed for the weekend and he could not get his antibiotics. I also had sent over my children's medical records two weeks prior to our appointment, and no one looked at them or even put them in a chart for my kids. This made it so our PA knew nothing about our history, she even got my children's ages wrong and said they were here for their visits that were 2months off for my son and 6 months off for my daughter. They couldn't even look at their birthdates. I tried to get an updated vaccine record at the end of my appointment and the office staff told me they could not do it and I would have to call back Monday; its now Monday and I have been on hold for 22 minutes to far. We will NOT be going back. Very poor experience from start to finish. read more

Dr. Perez is insensitive and rude. As a new young mom trying my best to get used to being a parent and mind you my hormones are through the roof, she made me feel like a horrible mom. I had made an appointment with them for my newborn and just one with her since she was the only one available(no wonder...). She asked me a question about any problems during my pregnancy and I forgot to name a few complications that happened during labor(which was traumatizing for me considering I had to get an emergency c-section), I wasn't really aware of anything happening I was in labor for 37 hours and in pain. Anyways, she left and came back and basically told me about everything that happened during my labor. I then apologized and said explained that it was traumatizing and I wasn't really aware of everything and the technical terms of what I went through. She then says "you must've been under a lot of anesthesia to forget all that". I know my hormones are irregular right now but to make an unnecessary comment like that and I don't even know you is beyond me. I truly don't believe she should be working in this field maybe she's better off taking elderly patients lol.. I tried to give them another chance and book a follow up appointment and possibly ask for a different doctor if available but nope the receptionist hung up in my face twice in a row so I just got fed up and switched him to an office I know for sure is going to care for not only patients health but the quality of service they give their parents. I'd say in my experience the most positive things for me was the nurse Veronica who was kind to me and gentle with my baby and that the facility itself was nice. I bet that the other doctors are pleasant to see, I wish I had a better experience but unfortunately I would NOT come back. read more

Hi there, a new and single Mom here. I found this pediatrician's office on my insurance site (Ambetter) and used their site sources to find a doctor for my newborn. After scheduling an appointment and showing up for my visit, after all the online paperwork and checking in, getting my newborn weighed/sized, took for the doctor to inform me this was a Vaccination office only. When I called the office to make an appointment (over a week in advance), nobody on my initial call informed me of that detail, especially when I told them he was not vaccinated originally when they asked. There are no physical signs inside or more obvious note on their website disclosing that information. Unfortunately, this visit came out to be very disappointing and time-consuming since I can no longer use this doctor's office. It's really a shame they only take vaccinated patients. read more

We brought up a medical condition that is critical within our family that prevents us from making certain medical decisions for our children and because of our family history they sent us a certified letter indicating that they will not accept us as patients. No personal phone call to explain. A certified letter to ensure that they received our signature so that we can't sue them. This is an awful way to treat families who need medical attention in a caring and safe environment. DO NOT waste your time with this group. read more

Dr. Habibi is an amazing doctor at this office. He listens, he prescribes the correct medications, and he also expresses his own acknowledgment behind certain experiences with children that he has personally experienced. He is a father of two little girls himself which makes him relatable. However trying to book, call, get shots, and or wellness checks are so hard to do! You cannot get ahold of anybody literally it's a magic trick when someone picks up the phone. Natasha Rohani is friendly and knowledgeable! She worked in the peds ER previously and has good intuition when something is not right. We love her. Dr Downey too! I never have an issue getting appointments. Even same day. All my concerns are always addressed. There is always great communication. Natasha and Dr Downey always call me back asap to answer my questions. I trust them with my heart beats, our two kids who are our everything. I am super upset right now I have been taking my daughter to this clinic since she was born. I always see Dr. Downey or Dr mccalister they are great. However today we had to make an appointment because my daughter is sick 102 fever. We monitored at home and fever is barely breaking. We saw Dr. Perez today, first time seeing her she saw us for 2-3 minutes and was very short. We tried to tell her our Daughter just went to day care. It's her first time there. As a worried first time parent normally the other physicians here listen to what parents are concerned about, instead she was quick and said it's viral, and wanted to leave. We did insist on swabbing our child to rule out RSV flu covid ect because we need that before we have her go back. She then persisted to have more commentary and stated "really oh that's a shame" She appeared judgy and not approachable I will never let her see my kid again I am so upset about this. By the way she has no idea that I am also in the medical field. I hope they take this review seriously I will be writing a formal letter as well read more

My autsitic /ADHD /ODD son was supposed to have a check up and get his medication taken care of and my 3 year old daughter needs shots before they leave the state for two months We're both turned away. After making a huge scene about them not giving a hell about their patients they decided to see my son but not my daughter. this place is disgusting and does not give a shit about their patients. I defaulted to Desert Valley Pediatrics because they were the on call doctors at St. Rose San Martin when my twins were born back in November 2018. We've been going to this location and seeing Karen Freeman, NP, ever since. The facility is a stand alone building nestled amongst the medical centers in the Southern Hills area. This makes it easier for anyone having to lug carseats, strollers, multiple children from your car (or even if you forget sometime) to the office. I also appreciate that there is a well/sick waiting room. Growing up and going to San Diego Children's Hospital, that was one thing I always noticed about doctor's offices. It definitely helps mitigate the spread of germs (be sure to use the hand sanitizer after using their pens!). The waiting rooms have a lot of space, games, and a television with children's programming which helps wait time. I've waited in the room as short as 2 minutes after check in to as long as 30-40 minutes so it can really vary. They do make an announcement in the waiting room if certain physicians are running behind which I think is quite professional. The exam rooms are spread out and you can easily get lost in their building but other than that, everything is clean, lots to see for the kids, and there are books in each room to bide time. Karen is a great option if the pediatrician is unavailable. She has good bedside manner, is very informative in what she relays to you, and will give her opinion, which for an indecisive person like me, is helpful. It's been a good experience having her support and consistently going to her for my twins' exams to establish a baseline and track development. She also doesn't make you feel rushed and will take as much reasonable time as needed. They also let you sit in the room after the exam to get your kids' bearings together (nurse them, clean up, etc.) which is great for already stressed out parents. I also appreciate their nurse line call in service, their weekend answering service, and their online portal which has made things quite convenient especially after hours. I've had to use all 3 a few times and always ended up with a satisfied answer. My only complaint, which is the same with any and every doctors' office, is the wait time once you get into the exam room. You only have so much leeway to entertain a pair of 1 year old twins so I suggest bringing clean up wipes, toys, a tablet, and snacks. P.s. If you plan on giving your child EVERY vaccine they want to shoot in your tiny newborn baby then this doctors office will be fine for you. They go by CDC guidelines which means 17 vaccines by the time they are only 9 months old. They will argue with that because some vaccines are put together in one "shot" (ex. DTap ) and call it one vaccine but it's still 3. I don't feel it's necessary to give my tiny little human all these vaccines in the first year of his life when it's the most important to his growth and development. Anywayyy they don't care what the PARENT wants for their child, they just want to inject them with vaccines so they get paid. It's MY choice which vaccines I decide to give to my child, not theirs. It's also the doctors office choice to kick us out of the practice if I don't allow them to give my baby 17 vaccines in 9 months BYEEEEEEEEEEE!! P. S. Nothing against the doctors here.. just be prepared for them to push vaccines on you. I'm also not "anti-vaccines", but I don't think my baby needs all those shots this young (he has had 4 so far and he's 10 months old). He's also not in daycare. I love that they have this new office as it's closer to home. It's a huge office but it's only been crowded one time in the handful of times that I've been. I've been using this practice since we interviewed Dr. Burford before I had child #1 more than 6 years ago. I do have to say that it may be hard to get an appointment on Mondays if you're calling to get seen. Kids seem to always get sick on the weekends and Mondays are the worst times to try and get an appointment. I know that they have added a few doctors and a nurse practitioner since we've started seeing them but they are a popular practice. With that being said, Dr. Burford and Dr. Blank are my go to doctors if it's not an emergency. However, most often they are behind but there's a reason why as I feel like they listen to my concerns and address them. The other doctors that we have seen are good too when my kids are sick but for certain concerns I always ask for those two. I recommended this practice to another mom and she told me she's had such great experiences with the doctors. The wait at this office seems to be a bit better than at the Summerlin/centennial hills location but its easy to find and a nice brand new office! read more

We moved to Vegas from another city and needed a sick appointment for my 10 month old shortly after arriving. We saw Dr. Perez who chalked it up to my son being in a new day care. (Valid of course) They swabbed him for flu and it was negative but they said they would send the swab off and results would be back at 1pm next day and they'd call. No call came. My husband called at 4 and left a message. No one called back. My son's fever continued and we called at 8pm that same evening and left a message for the nurse line. The receptionist said someone would call back within 2 hours. No call back. Poor communication. No follow through. Do not go here. I don't ever even leave reviews but I couldn't help myself after reading a review posted from someone that was eerily similar to my experience from 1 year ago. Your child deserves better care and parents we deserve peace of mind. You clearly won't get that here. Update: We called back on Monday and they had no idea where the swab was sent or if it was sent. They said they would call back. Of course they didn't. My husband called back at 4pm. They answered and hung up on him. He called 5 more times and no on answered. Someone finally called back at 6pm and told us our child had strep and the flu. This is now 5 days after our initial visit with no medication to treat. They acted like it wasn't a big deal and tried to say it was a "mild" case. His fever was as high as 104...that is not mild. Like I said, do not take your child here. read more

We have been coming to this office for about 2 months and have been here about 4 times. The young girl who works at the front desk is so unbelievably rude. She doesn't explain things when we have questions and she makes us customers and patients make us feel very stupid. I am in the hospitality industry and deal with people on the daily basis it's very uncomfortable how rude and cold the front desk lady is here. Dr. McAllister is such a good doctor. He is a gentle soul that makes me feel so comfortable when talking about my little one. Really love the doctors here. We've seen Dr McCallister and Dr Downey, both have proved to be knowledgable and caring. If I was just reviewing the physicians, I would be giving a 5 star review. However, Because the review includes the support staff (mostly the front desk girls) I can't give more than a 3. I can't say that my wife or I have had one good experience with these people. Its hard to tell whether its incompetence or complete disinterest in providing any kind of service to the clients. I dread any time I have to call or interact with these girls. I would love to attribute the terrible service to a specific person in the front office but unfortunately it seems to be a systemic problem, at least at this location. I am so furious. I am soo emotional And mad! I have been a patient with DVP for 5 years and I have been Bringing all three of my kids to see Dr. Blank who is amazing! He's staff/team are caring, professional and have great customer service. I see him on Tuesday's since that's when he sees patients at the southern Hill location. Nurse practitioner Freeman is caring and good at what she does but there is this one girl sitting up front who's name starts with Q Asian looking who has the worst customer service. Every time I go in for a sick visit other then Tuesday, it's always a problem with that Q girl, you know when someone purposely is constantly picking on me about my Health Insurance. I called in two hours early to make sure they verify with the health insurance before my 1:40 apt and the girl on the phone said it's good and all I have to pay is $20.00. But as soon as I go in the office, how convenient is it that Q checked on my health 2 min before my visit just to tell me I have not paid so therefore they need to collect 100 or cancel my apt. It's July 8th and my health insurance is active and i have time till the 20th to make payment. No one at the office has done that to me, for God's sake I have sick kid that needs to see a doctor and your careless soul is giving me hard time for what!! I have been a patience for 5 years! A person with that kind of personality should not work around kids! Why Would you charge me $100.00 and for me to go thru a refund process of 8-10 weeks when my insurance is active. That's when you know your being picked on. It's been a consistency bullying. I pay my health insurance every month whether if it's the 1st of the month or towards the end, I always pay and if there is any balance with the billing I always pay. Yes I have had issues in the past but I have always paid and always been responsible. Tuesday apt no one ever gives me a problem or bad service. It's to a point that I feel the staff talk among themself and even the girl that took my baby in for weight check didn't even put a smile on her face when she called me in, you can feel that they're talking about me. The only person that kept it professional and pleasant was the lady who's African American. Q needs professional customer service training. This place will loose more patient if her bullying continues. I am done and won't be coming back, I am taking all three of my kids out. I don't feel safe bringing my kids at this place when you don't get treated the way a patient of 5 years should at time of need when it comes to your kids being sick that needs to see a doctor. read more

I've been bringing my daughters here for three years. The doctors are always very nice and our girls like them. However, the last few times that I've had to see them, it seems that the office staff ruins perfectly routine visits. I'm unsure if it's their disposition or the work environment but I'm just not interested in taking my children there any longer. In July, my daughter needed a covid test, they were able to see us same day- great! We went in and had her test done and were told to have her quarantine until we heard back, yes, of course. I updated my contact information so they would be able to contact me in several ways. We waited... and waited. After a week of my 10 year old being isolated, I called and was told that they had the results less than 72 hours later but nobody had updated my contact information that I had given them. My child couldn't be hugged for days because of this. I still stayed. My daughter is now dealing with a new problem that will require a referral. I called to obtain one and was first on hold for over 30 minutes to even speak to someone. When I finally got through, I was told that she needed to have a well-check first because she is past due- nobody has ever told me that we were past due, not even during her covid test. Fine, let's schedule it. I asked if the doctor would be able to provide a referral at the appointment and the girls told me no. It wasn't her call. I rephrased and asked that if the doctor sees fit to give a referral, is he able to do so same day. I don't want to wait a week for this appointment, drive across town and then not obtain the referral that I am looking for. She still wouldn't tell me if he was able to. I am upset because we like Dr. McAllister but I would rather find a new doctor than have to endure the staffing at this location. read more

I was so excited when they opened this new location on the southwest side of town! It is a one of building located in a medical plaza and I love it! It's spacious, clean and BONUS- there's always parking! If you'v been to the other offices, you understand the struggle! My daughter has been a patient at DVP since she was born and we have never had any issues. This location always has the sweetest nurses and front desk staff. Our number one choice of doctors to see, if it's not an emergency, is Dr. Blank. He always takes the time to really listen and he knows his patients well. I fully trust him and his advice which is always key in finding a provider. We would probably follow him anywhere if he left DVP, but there are many other amazing doctors at this practice as well (namely Dr. Downey and Dr. Burford- she's a hoot!! so funny and very helpful). Anyway, if you're a new parent searching for a ped or looking to switch, you may want to look into this practice as an option! read more
