I stopped by to request information on a service for my 2015 CVO St. glide the man that helped me and service was very arrogant and put out For having to put me in the system to look up my records. Proceeded to give him my information and he put me in the system and he found information on my bike he gave me a price on the service and I was looking to get a new race tuner as well and then he asked me are you going to proceed I said we will see and he said fine I'll just delete you from the system and re-enter you when you make up your mind so I went over to the parts counter to price out race tuners and the guy there was more interested in eating his Cheez-Its then helping me and again he was very put out that he had to look up a parts price for me I said to myself that's enough.... I rode down to superstition not only were they courteous their price for a 25K service was $400 less than what was quoted at Desert wind I will never go to Desert wind again as they are not interested in earning anybody's business very sad the guys at superstition were awesome friendly and courteous walked me over to the parts counter introduced me to the parts operator and made me An appointment to service my CVO street glide I am new to Arizona and I am glad I found a good Harley shop to take my bike. I guess Desert wind is doing enough business that they don't need to earn my $1500 that I'm willing to spend for A service in new race tuner. Should have gone to Superstition first. read more

I went down to the dealership to ask some questions about why I was having back pain when riding. I was greeted by Ray, who immediately explained the bike I currently have doesn't fit me correctly. He had me sit on 4 or 5 different bikes explaining the difference. I bought my current bike off of craigslist. Never again. Going down to the dealership and talking to Ray to get "fitted" correctly was the best thing I have done. Ended up walking out of there with a bike that fits me perfectly. I live in Sacramento Ca. Just recently within the last 4 weeks I stopped in at Desert Wind Harley-Davidson. I was inquiring about a Aria defiant X helmet. You know the one that is just a normal looking Arai " all black " but it has Harley Davidson's name on it. 725$ helmet. That insane price is not why I gave them a 1 Star. I called them previously in the day to have them hold it for me and the lady on the phone was like " of course ". So I drive hours and hours to purchase this crazy expensive helmet, and don't get me wrong I wanted this helmet. Arriving at the location the lady inside asks me how she could help me I told her I was that guy who had you hold on to that helmet. She was like let me go get it. She returned and was like it's your lucky day this helmet is on sale! I was like SWEET!!! Paid $500 something get it home hours and hours later after 1000 miles, take it out of the box and it's F%cking cracked!!! Wish I would have been told it was damaged badly so I wouldn't have wasted no joke 3 fu@£ing days of my life. Selling damaged helmets is not safe and against DOT regulations. But I guess In Arizona where their is not law enforcement on helmets it's ok sell damaged goods! I'm still so freakin shocked that this is okay in there eyes!!! A while ago I bought my first Harley at Desert Wind. It was at least the sixth time I have bought a new motorcycle from a dealer, and this time was the worst experience of all. From getting incorrect information on the phone before I visited to having an inexperienced, untrained salesman who couldn't answer two out of twenty questions I asked about the bike to being subjected to high pressure and arrogant sales techniques to having them refuse to show me models and give me prices on bikes I asked about it was an unpleasant day to say the least. I was my own worst enemy and wanted the bike that day and the deal wasn't awful, but I wish I had just walked off the lot. They don't deserve your business or mine. My advice? Walk away from any Harley dealership that is high pressure, unprofessional, or in any way annoying. There are a million of 'em. read more

Desert Wind is THE best dealership around! We have been to Buddy's, Superstition, and Scottsdale but Desert Wind beat everyone else's customer service and customer satisfaction HANDS DOWN. Every employee there has been friendly and greeted us immediately. We purchased bike #3, 2019 Road Glide, from Superstition. Within a month we discovered a defect and neither Superstition OR Harley (Joe - supposedly a customer service manager @ Corporate. He was THE worst at what he is in charge of, "Customer Service") Neither would help. They just tried to make us jump through hoop after hoop. While out looking for accessories one day, we stopped in to Desert Wind. We ran in to our salesman, Brian Greene, and were so happy to see he was at Desert. What a smart, friendly, and helpful guy! While explaining the BS we were going through he introduced us to Gregg in Service. Gregg worked with me while I pursued Harley. It took getting the BBB involved, but FINALLY, it was taken care of. DESERT WIND was helpful and always made us feel important. They made a crappy situation better and ultimately fixed our bike! I am a long time Customer of Desert Wind Harley Davidson and it goes way back to when it was Chester's and then Chosas and now Desert Wind. Jerry Mutal is my sales person and he has always tried to do me good on my purchases. Well this past Tuesday I saw an add on Craigslist from Desert Wind Harley for a 2016 Harley Davidson Heritage Classic. The bike has high miles but I only wanted a cheaper bike to use once in a while so I figured the mileage wouldn't matter. The bike runs great but in the Craigslist add the bike showed to have a complete seat and luggage rack assembly and was listed in the add. The answer for the missing seat was that "we don't know what happened to it". also that "we are only making a hundred dollars on the deal so we can't replace it". Then the prep charge was $999 dollars and $699 dollars for documents and turned a $7600 dollar purchase int a $10,200.00 purchase. Seems there should be a couple hundred for good will or customer appreciation for a couple hundred dollar seat and luggage rack especially after the new 2006 Ultra Classic and the 2016 Street Glide and the 2019 Street Glide (all new bikes) that I had purchased from them before this. I know that customer service has gone to hell since the WOKE people have ruined America but Damn It people. I am a little beside myself about this, being a loyal customer so I will not buy from them again... Lesson learned Thanks Desert Wind Sales Staff members that helped me. (sarcasm) read more

My girlfriend bought a lightly used 2021 Iron 883 a week ago. we dealt with Mike and Jermaine. Without getting too wordy, they lied to us about the bike having a security system which was one of our decision criteria. I have owned four Harley's and I'm very familiar with their options, including the HD fob based security system. The bike we decided on was great in every way, so we were ready to buy. I asked Mike if the HD security system was included and he replied yes it was, and held up the keys to the bike including a security FOB. We completed the sale and they delivered the bike a couple days later. The gentleman who delivered the bike was professional and courteous, and explained the features of the bike to my girlfriend. He then handed us the keys, minus the security fob. When I asked him about it, he suggested I call my sales person and inquire about the fob. I did so and was told that he was mistaken and the bike didn't come with security as described. I told him that the HD security system was a deal breaker and that unless he made right his wrong, I would return the bike for another one with security. After DW HArley stalling for several days, today I was told by the sales manager, Jermaine, that my sales person was mistaken and they wouldn't make it right, either by installing the security system, or taking the bike back in exchange for another that included the security system. I reminded Jermaine that they sold us the bike under false pretenses and it was up to them to fix it. He was unwilling to budge on any kind of compromise and told me to "do whatever I felt was necessary" from a legal standpoint. If you do business with these clowns, be sure to get EVERYTHING in writing. read more
