I took my Street Glide Special today for oil and filter change and to make sure everything on my bike is in good order before moving. I was greeted by JD who looked at my bike and gave me the run down of what they are going to check and do and immediately sent my bike to the mechanics so they can start working on it. Although it is my first visit to Skunk motorcycles, I can feel that JD is HONEST and really understands customer service. I wish I knew this place before. I highly recommend this place. Took my '12 Fatboy Lo to these guys for tires and to check out an oil leak. They were very courtesy and called me and updated me along the way as to what they found what needed to be done. Seemed like nice people but extremely high priced. I have inverted forks on my bike and they quoted me $480.00 to do the forkseals. I went to 2 Guyes Garage and they did it for $225.00. Skunk made it seem like it was a difficult task and that they needed special tools but at 2 Guyes the mechanic said if you know what your doing there should be no difference between standard forks and inverted forks. I can understand that every shop is different when it comes to profit margins and their expenses but this is a no brainer. Skunk quoted me more than double the price than what I paid with 2 Guyes and special tools weren't even needed like they said. read more

These guys are the real deal. I was a bonehead and screwed up my grip twist sensor on my 2009 Harley FLTR Road Glide. It needed to be replaced and I called nearly everyone in town. Problem was I have 17" high Z bars and nobody wanted to redo the internal wiring. I was turned away from all three east valley harley dealers and a few of the mom and pop shops. When I called skunk the gentlemen I talked to was eager to help and even warned me of the difficulty of the project but was not deterred. I dropped off my handlebars at 11:00 on Tuesday morning and he said to expect them to be done the following day due to their busy schedule. To my surprise they called me at 4pm the same day to tell me the bars are done and came in under budget. When I picked them up I could tell that the craftsmanship was impeccable. They wiring job looked far more professional than the bars I dropped off. I took them home and installed them back on the bike and had a problem. The throttle was unresponsive.... I was honestly pretty stressed considering I was already a few hundred bucks in with parts and labor and was nowhere closer to riding. I called first thing the next morning and was talking to the tech as he was walking me through a few possible solutions. None of them worked and we decided the best course of action would be to bring the whole bike down to diagnose and repair the problem. I towed it down still only partially put back together. When I got there they jumped right on it and went to work. After about 15 minutes I heard my baby fire up. Turns out Harley failed to specify the difference in wiring from the newer part number on the older bike but the tech figured it out quick. They even finished the rest of the assembly, which I didn't pay for, at no extra cost which was nice considering the issue really wasn't their fault. I rode her home about an hour later. These guys and one girl went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied and my bike was exactly how I would want it. I will be a customer for a long time to come! read more

by all standards this place is great. i went in on a lunch brake for some parts. the very nice woman behind the counter was swamped with phone calls but she greeted me when i walked in. she got me the parts i wanted for the price i was quoted. when i went to pay she took all my information and asked if this was my first time in. when i told her it was she offered me a tour of the shop. got to meet the techs in the back and check out all the bikes they had in for repair and sale. i called back a few days later to special order some brake rebuild parts. i don't have the kind of bike they sell or work on but she researched and ordered the parts. i got them a day later and all is well. i will continue to buy whatever i need and can from them. in fact i'm going to call them today because the dealer screwed me on the rest of my brake parts. read more
