Husband and I went to desert zen day spa for massages. We were treated so wonderfully by Shannon and Chanel. We have had massages before, but I think this was the best massage I have ever had. Quiet with spa music, clean, comfortable and relaxing. Each of us chose to be in separate rooms and afterwards we talked to each other about our experiences and we were both so relaxed and the muscle knots we walked in with were gone - we were so impressed with the quality of massage. I was skeptical of going to get a higher priced "strip mall" massage. The price was a bit more than I am used to paying in similar business locations. Desert Zen Day Spa is nothing like any other place I've been to and I loved every minute of my experience. From the welcoming front desk receptionist to the wonderful masseuse Ashley; everything was perfect. Ashley made me feel comfortable and was very professional. The massage bed sheets were velvety soft and the bed itself was warm and toasty. One special note for any ladies with larger breasts, sorry if this is TMI, but they have adjustable face rests. Ashley moved the face rest to a height slightly above the massage table and I was in heaven. It made the massage so much more comfortable and enjoyable. Such a small detail but if you know, you know. Ashley worked her magic on my tense muscles and made sure to communicate with me during the massage regarding the pressure. The sweet pine scent is a must try while they have it and is not overpowering. I left the day spa feeling relaxed and stress free! First off, don't judge a book by its cover. This fabulous day spa is in a tiny shopping center and isn't fancy looking in the outside. I am in the beauty industry and am very particular. I took myself and my 80 year old mother here for massages (it was my mom's bd). We were treated very well. The ladies are professional and very sweet. My massage from Tracey was outstanding, 10/10. First, I am a huge fan of massages. And we always try to get one when we go away on a vacation. I picked this place b/c it has a lot of positive reviews on Yelp, and I know why! I would give ten stars if they had it! The experience from start to finish was excellent. Booking the massages for myself and my husband was a breeze - super friendly front desk staff. Got several reminders via text which I appreciated. Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly, and provided water and a relaxing space to wait (we were early). The therapists were super friendly - I had Amber and she was AMAZING!!! I get a massage at least once a month, and this was one of the BEST MASSAGES I'VE EVER HAD!!! She listened really carefully to my special requests (always more hand work b/c I do a lot of typing for work) and once she began, I was a thousand miles away in my happiest place. Her technique was so good and she was super responsive to my pressure points. My husband reviews his therapist (alas, he forgot her name!) with the same enthusiasm. Excellent experience all around. We were staying at the JW Marriott, which has a spa, but doesn't garner the same review status and costs way more. This place is a gem, and worth every penny! (Prices are a tad more for massages in the desert, and we ended up tipping huge amounts b/c they were just so awesome!) Even with a big tip (30%) it was still cheaper than JW Marriott spa would have been not including gratuities. Do not let a male masseuse named Marcus Luna perform your massage. He sexually harassed my friend the entire time he was massaging her. Did not stop talking. Making disgustingly inappropriate comments about her body. Touched her inappropriately. We just wanted a girls day out and we ended up at the police station filing charges for sexual battery. And low and behold. This isn't the first complaint against this location. The owner came out and tried to say she never had anything like this happen in her 21 years of business. After speaking to the police this is obviously not true. We looked up his "license number" she gave us. Doesn't exist. I'm posting this so other women don't become victims because the police are still investigating. If I could put 0 stars I would. read more

It was my birthday on Thursday so my girlfriend and I decided to go up to Palm Springs for a couple days. My girlfriend and I decided that we should do a little spa day so we ended up finding this place on yelp. I always wanted a mens facial so I decided to treat myself to one. This place is just plain awesome! Felt really good vibes right when we walked through the door. Staff was really friendly. I was paired with Miranda. She was awesome as well. Very professional. Made me feel comfortable the entire time. I would definitely go to her again for sure. My girlfriend was paired with Angela. She said Angela have her the best massage she has ever had. Every time I go somewhere new to get my eyebrow done, I'm a little nervous, so I open up with the statement... "I'm super out and proud but I don't want my eyebrows to tell people, I want to tell people!" Well luckily Ashley and Cassie listened to me when I said this lol. Amazing experience. The three of us girlfriends came to Palm Springs for our besties 50th birthday celebration. We looked at the surrounding spas and The Desert Zen was our first choice bc of their menu We came in and were out nto a lovely little room to fill out our paperwork. Weez was supper friendly. My services were; massage and body scrub and reflexology. Paige was fabulous with the massage. She was able to hone in on my trouble areas and she STAYED QUIET during the whole service. OMG...why is that so difficult for some ppl. Then onto my body scrub. WOW...Alexandria was incredible. I truly suggest it if you've never had one. She gave me a scalp massage while we waiting for the mud to cure. Then showered and body butter. That stuff is amazing. Reflexology is so cool. Getting all the points on your feet. Loved it! My mom and I came here to treat ourselves for our birthdays. I am 33 weeks pregnant and my mom had a stroke several years ago, so we both had unique circumstancss. My prenatal massage with Ashley was fantastic, I hope to come back in a month for one more massage before I give birth. She was so kind and did a fantastic job. I am visiting SoCal and dealing with some very stressful life events, so my MIL suggested a facial and massage might help me. I booked my services at Desert Zen Day Spa, and I am so glad I did. Scheduling the appointment was super easy on the phone and I was able to get in the following day. I had the Signature Facial with Jody, and the Deep Tissue Massage with CBD with Tracey. The whole experience was phenomenal and I really did feel as if a weight had been lifted off me afterwards. Today is the day after and my skin is still glowing and smooth, and even better yet MY BACK IS NOT HURTING! I was struggling with debilitating back pain for the past week, and now I feel alive again. Both ladies were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable while getting my services. The spa is serene and peaceful, too. I also enjoyed the cucumber water at the end. My wife was excited to try this place and had her massage with Chanel 12/21/23. She was shown where to place her purse and clothes. The room was very dark during her massage and she heard the sound of a zipper opening but thought Chanel was opening a supply bag of sort. My wife said she popped her head up and tried so see what was going on but was unable to since her items were off to the side and darkness in the room. Chanel had even put a weighted eye cover on her which further blocked her from seeing what was going on. After the massage she was gathering her belongings and noticed her wallet was out of place with $50 cash missing. My wife then brought the issue up to the manager who had Chanel empty her pockets only to find she had in fact taken the $50 from my wife's purse. This probably isn't her first time stealing from a customer. The manager was very nonchalant about the matter and would only give my wife $50 off because of the inconvenience and understood if she didn't want to leave a tip. My wife feels violated since getting a massage leaves you in a vulnerable condition you have to be able to trust the masseuse is a professional. She should not have charged her at all and let go of the dishonest employee immediately. So if you decide to visit this place make sure your cash/cards are not missing after the massage. read more

My friend and I did a facial and massage and they were the best I have ever had. I had been having some problems with sciatic pain in my right leg for about three weeks which I told Michael. After the massage with him it is completely gone! I must say my legs were sore after the message and I was not used to that but I looked on line and found out that was normal for a deep tissue massage done correctly. It felt as if I had worked out extra hard but was gone in a day or two and the sciatic pain was gone immediately. Michael was amazing and the massage was so relaxing it was heavenly. My husband and I came on our last day of vacation for a couple's massage. Our only disappointment is that we live on the other side of the country and won't be back for a while! I had a really great facial there when I was in a trip with my friends. The woman did no exttactions for me though, and I was disappointed because it's supposed to be customized and this is one thing I always ask for in my facials. She insisted it was not needed. Making an appointment was easy and I scheduled a facial to treat problem skin. When I called to inquire about possible needs, they were able to give suggestions and give pricing over the phone. Jodi was my esthetician and she is personable and gave me recommendations based on her assessment of my skin. She explained her applications and was thorough with her work. I was hesitant about trying this place out just because I really need a good massage and the price was reasonable I decided what the heck. Once you get into this day spa you won't regret it. The staff is very friendly and the services are all the things I Love. Tanning is just the cherry on top they have many other services as well. The massages are great and are a force to reckoned with. they have very skilled massage therapist that know how to give a great massage, no fluff. Every massage therapist i have tried has been awesome and that is hard to say for most day spas. I was so tired of the hit miss game that I am just sticking to this spa from now on. The prices are reasonable and the massage is well worth every cent. I am so glad I found them. This is not one of those Day spas that has noisy, smelly things like nails and hair going on. Once inside the room it was very relaxing and because they have music in the head cradle I was able to relax right into my massage.
