I want to start off by saying I've been to this place over a number of years - and have ALWAYS had a good experience! This last time the food gave my friend and I a horrible stomach ache. The food was OK going down (not as good as it's been before) and it was also a different colour than when previously ordered! The service itself was really good, clean tables, the cream soda is to DIE for!

Shocking news, I ordered something other than the chicken tikka masala for the first time. Whaaaaaat?!?! Well, I didn't stray too far away because I got the chicken vindaloo, but still. Not the same. I've had vindaloo in the past, so I somewhat knew what to expect. However, there wasn't any description of the dish (or any of the Indian dishes in that section of the menu), so I wasn't completely sure if it would be the same as what I had in the past. That's definitely something that could be an area of improvement. Especially since I'd guess many people (including myself) aren't as naturally familiar with Indian dishes. But I was happy that it did come with potatoes as I've had before other places. I ordered the hot level, which I felt would be enough. I'm pretty sure this is what I get sometimes with the tikka masala (and sometimes the extra hot depending on what I'm feeling that day). I've always heard that vindaloo is one of the spiciest things in the cuisine, so decided to play it a little safer, assuming the hot level of vindaloo wouldn't necessarily be the same as the hot level of tikka masala (since they're different dishes). Strangely, I didn't think it was the slightest bit spicy. Truly not even a little. I wasn't expecting that. So definitely a bit disappointed there. If I order it again, I'll go a MINIMUM of one level up, but maybe two since I seriously didn't think it was spicy at all. Though, this isn't to say it wasn't well-spiced with a good overall flavor, just not spicy. PS: can we start a petition to make a new word to differentiate spicy vs spices, and also hot spicy vs hot temperature. It drives me crazy!! Haha.

Pretty good. Reasonably fair prices. Portions a little smaller than Indian palace. Entrees about half price; but food markedly better at the Palace. The beef korma tonight was dull. I Prefer the Chicken tikka masala. Garlic naan has barely a hint of garlic. $1 upcharge. Cmon Gimme that xtra garlic guys ! They've been here quite some time, surviving a kitchen fire a few yrs back. Popular place w: University students and take out. Friendly front of house.

For dinner, I ordered the butter chicken, extra hot, garlic naan and iced chai. Everything was delicious, nice spice level, but I could have eaten hotter, and a nice creamy flavor from the butter chicken, though it could have been a bit more flavorful. The naan and rice were cooked well and had great flavor, too. The Iced chai was also delicious. Everything was very good.

Queema Samosas we're amazing, especially with the mint and tamarind dips. Chicken vindaloo was average, naans were more like pita bread.

The most delicious meal I've had this year!…read more I only get to visit Tulsa once or twice a year. This was my second visit to Rendang and Co. The food was so good last March when I dined here that I couldn't wait to go back. I finally got my chance last Thursday. I landed at Tulsa International, picked up my rental car and immediately drove here. Last time here I ordered Nasi Goreng (fried rice dish with vegetables and egg), and I wanted to try something different. I asked the host/waiter's advice. He asked about my familiarity with Indonesian cuisine, my tolerance for spiciness, and if I liked curry. After weighing all my answers, he suggested the Nasi Pandang, a truly fantastic Combination Plate. There are a lot of variables when you order this dish. It comes with both Beef and Chicken and there are three different ways each of those are prepared. I chose the Kaila Rendeng (chunks of beef in a luxuriously rich gravy) for my Beef choice and Ayam Goreng (mind-meltingly delicious Fried Chicken Leg) for my Chicken choice. The Nasi Pandang combo plate also comes with a delightful Vegetable Curry (mild, very little heat), composed of Jackfruit, Cabbage and Green Beans, and a generous mound of tender white rice. And the Vegetable Curry is topped with a hard boiled egg. It was my first time trying all of the above and I was absolutely blown away. It was easily the most delicious meal I've had this year, and I eat out at least once or twice a week. I loved the Vegetable Curry so much I could've ordered only that and I would have been super happy. But the item that deserves special mention is the Ayam Goreng, the Chicken Leg. Omg that leg! It looked slightly over-cooked but it most definitely wasn't. The leg was scored with a knife before frying, and the edges along those cuts were cooked to the point of chewiness. It's a chewiness you never want to stop. When you've picked that chicken leg clean your mind forces you to keep turning it over and over, insisting there must be some morsel you overlooked. I washed all this great food down with a Lychee Ice Tea. First time trying it. Damn that stuff is good! Highly recommended. After my epic meal I met the chef, Indri Bahar, and told her how much I loved her food. She graciously agreed to allow me to take some photos of her and her husband (the host and waiter) Asnul Bahar. I should like to point out that Chef Indri was a recent (2022) Semi Finalist for a James Beard Foundation Award. How cool is that? Mikey C says: get over here and try this place out!

Made it over to Broken Arrow today and went to Tandoori Guys for some Indian food…read more Great food, nice homey atmosphere and really nice people. Inside the place is fairly dimly lit, but in a cool kinda way. Walls are covered with vibrant prints and the dining room is spacious and roomy. Even at 12:15 or so I was seated immediately by a welcoming, congenial gentleman I assumed is the manager or owner. First trip through the buffet line, saw me dishing up samples of Chicken Biryani, Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Karahi and Aloo BIndhi (a killer dish of potatoes, okra and tomatoes). FIrst off, the plates are a tad on the small side... which is fine, just wanted to get that out there so when I you see the "for my THIRD TRIP", you don't judge.... much. Everything on the first plate was awesome. The chicken Karahi was great, but kind of like crab legs... lots of work for little meat. Not sure how those are prepared, but the meat to bone ratio pretty small. Still, all was good. Second trip, I hit the stuff I didn't get the first time, which included the beef meatballs (Kofta, I think they were called), a couple pieces of tandoori chicken, a few of the veg Bondas (little dumpling balls), a little more Biryani, and some of another rice dish with fried vegetables in it, which was outstanding. Third trip (I warned you) was just for a little more Biryani and meatballs. Overall, there wasn't a single thing I didn't like. Some more than others, but all was good. The Biryani was an obvious favorite. The Tandoori chicken was still moist and tender, despite the buffet setting. The meatballs were another favorite.... those things were like little meaty balls of crack, I couldn't get enough. While I wouldn't consider the food overly spicy, I do think that someone with a mild palate might find it a little much. My nose was definitely active the entire meal, and my taste buds were dancing like crazy. The staff were out of this world friendly and the owner/manager kept my glass full at all times, which was appreciated. The tab ran to just over $17 before a gratuity, which I consider more than reasonable for what I had and how much I enjoyed it. While it's a fair bit off my beaten path, I expect to find myself in BA on Fridays for the conceivable future, so I plan on return trips often.
