Delicious doughnuts! These are massive, unique and run around $2-3 each. The doughnuts themselves were okay, it's really the toppings that add the sparkle. Cookie dough, whipped cream, pb&j, s'mores!?!? There are so many flavors, it was pretty hard to choose just a few. A few months back I ordered a friend an ube cake from Despi and it was a *really* good cake. When I picked up the cake, their donut offerings looked incredible so I went back this week for my boyfriend's birthday. We got 6 donuts and a pack of lemon macrons and returned home to dig in. The donut texture is divine: light and fluffy and pillowy. Everything you want from a donut. The flavor is the exact opposite: they taste like oil. We tried a bite of each donut to see if maybe it was isolated but all 6 donuts had the same oil taste. They leave a nasty oily aftertaste, too. At first bite, the macrons were promising but they crumbled and were quite bland. The 3 stars are for the ube cake since it was so good and my friend really liked it. ‍ read more

So happy to have a Filipino bakery in my neighborhood. I love the variety of breads, cakes and donuts that they have. They also have Filipino empanadas but you have to preorder or come early for it's always sold out. I gave only 4 stars because I find their opening and closing time including the weekends inconvenient for most people working with same time schedule as me, so it's a bit frustrating when you want to buy something good and then you can't because they're already close. read more

Was so excited to try this place out. Was greeted right away and the staff was very friendly! I was amazed by the looks of everything, and could not choose! Both times I ordered the chantilly cake with a light strawberry fruit filling in between the layers. So moist and light in taste. They're able to take a picture or drawn design and make a cake from that. Granted, the designs weren't exactly as was shown, but pretty darn close with some tweaks and the overall presentation worked out well. They have a large variety of Filipino desserts. This place is probably my 2nd favorite donut place! +: For the maple bar the dough is superb the best dough I've ever had, there was a little crunch on the outside of the dough with a soft inside. The cream had great flavor too. +: The strawberry cream puff had great whipped cream, some of the best I've had in a long time. The glazed dough is super soft and moist. +: Fruity pebbles donut. Loved it so much from Saturday that I came back on Sunday! Amazing selection from savory to sweet and in between. French style macaroons we opted for strawberry and ube.... pure yum. I ate the pig in the blanket that my phone camera never had a chance.... strawberry shortcake-isk was outstanding, they sliced open a glazed raised donut and piled in some white fluff and real strawberries, delish! I actually went to Uwajimaya in Seattle and was blown away by the Ube Bread I purchased from their pastry section. My boyfriend and I loved it so much that we looked up the label "Despi Delite Bakery" and tracked it down to Everett. I have been wanting to find a solid local Filipino bakery here in Washington for some time and I think this is the one. Everyone is so nice and efficient. There were so many different varieties of cakes, breads, cookies, and donuts in the window pane! My only complaint is that I would need 10 minutes minimum to fully look through all my options before making a decision but you are also pressured to proceed forth since the line is alongside the window display and you dont want to hold up the line by diddle-daddling. I was on a mission for Filipino goods, so I got the Ube cake, Ube cheesecake, 3 packs of Ube bread, and some donuts which were all amazing! I grew up with Valerio's Bakery in California and I would have to say that Despi's Ube Bread is far superior! Next time I will try their pan de sal and savory options. read more

We ordered several items. My favorite was the apple fritter. The issue comes from their mystery "day old" breads that were taped closed but offered at $5 per donut box. This seemed liked a good deal so we added a box to our load of other pastry treasures. However, when I opened the box to prep for breakfast the following morning I was concerned to find mold growing on bread. I didn't trust this was "day old" bread, I threw away the whole box. For a bakery with so much flashy pastries to offer, you could donate all your day old products. These clearly were not all day old pastries some where older to the point of creating mold. It has been a long time since we emerged from our house but hearing that we had a gourmet bakery nearby with custom donuts was the thing that finally got us back out for some takeout. We went in early, right at open. There was a small line as they only allowed 6 people inside at a time but it moved really fast and we had our donuts in no time. The staff all had masks and gloves and they were worn properly, they fully enforced social distancing guidelines and best of all, the donuts were incredible! The apple fritter was crispy outside and soft inside. The bacon maple bar had a nice piece of high quality bacon, the frosted were not too frosted. All of them were tender and tasty!
