Warning: if you're expecting a filipino bakery (despi delite in Seattle is a Filipino bakery) this is NOT a Filipino bakery. baked goods look appetizing and inviting. Place looks clean with Staff doesn't recognize Filipino stuff like taho and ube. They dont keep steamer on so they can only offer you cold siopao. I got tiramisu, mango cheesekcake (thinking it was a Filipino bakery), and pecan tart. The pecan tart was delicious. My daughter said the mango cheesecake was ok. Tiramisu I don't recommed if you're a fan of tiramisu. If it were renamed into something else I'd probably like it. read more

I really want to be a fan of this place but, I've been recently dissatisfied. I grew up a fan of the original delite on Beacon hill and their quality. I recently bought a quarter sheet cake and the decoration was subpar. It looked mediocre, rushed and lazy maybe even inexperienced. The border was uneven and for some reason there were uneven balloons with mixed colored frostings, like they used the same piping bag. The quality was very sad as well. I felt so bad for having brought the cake to my cousins birthday and it tasted OLD. How I know that is the frosting was hard on some spots and stale. The donuts - be careful choosing donuts because if the tray is full - it doesn't mean they're fresh! The back of the house seemed full of workers "working" unfortunately it doesn't show in their products. Overall, their aesthetics look cooler than their quality of products. Go to A-1 Donuts. Back in Nov 2019, I had the chocolate croissant donut and apple fritter and just last week I tried the blueberry fritter along with the chocolate croissant donut. Wow!!! These donuts are absolutely amazing!! Soft, chewy, fresh, and great flavors. My son was turning 12, and I thought, we do cake every year. Let's try something different. I ordered a variety of 16 donuts. My favorite was the red velvet. It had a sweet cream cheese filling of some sort. It was around 30 bucks, and it was definitely worth it. These items were all very tasty and moist. The donut holes has a light and sweet taste in the center. The cannolis were indescribable. I've had them before from this bakery. They are sweet and chewy. One of THE best bakeries in Washington! I have tried a lot of things here, and I have never been disappointed. This place never ceases to amaze me. The cronut, Ube Cake, and tiramisu are my all time favorites, but everything else I have tried is excellent as well. First time we tried to visit when we moved to Everett, the person behind the counter was rude. We decided never to come back. Today I gave them a 2nd chance, the pastries were terrible. My wife and kids spit it out. We got the little balls with pork, it was very bad, the cherry and apple sticks were ok but my 4 yr old didn't finish the small amount he tried. I'm getting tired of this bakery's incapability to do custom cake orders. First time I ordered a cake from them was a few months ago. A quarter sheet Ube cake with no coconut in the middle. I had ordered it for a Sunday and the girl on the phone said they open at 1:00. So I started to head over there around 1, when I saw on Google that they CLOSE at 1. So I called, and turns out my cake wasn't even made, despite putting the order in two days in advance. Luckily, the girl there was accommodating and stayed 10 minutes late for me, and gave me their on-hand Ube cake (with coconut), and refunded my card. I felt that was an adequate solution especially considering the time constraint. However this week, I placed an order for a cake again. I specified no coconut, and the girl confirmed as well. Everything went smoothly, the cake was actually made. But surprise! I get home, and there's coconut in the middle. Seriously? Consistently disappointing. Their Ube cake is great, but it's just not worth it. I may as well have just went in and got their cake off the shelf, because obviously they have issues with custom orders. read more

Empanadas are not good. This place is clean, nice and full of wonderful choices. Some of the donuts are great and pan de sal bread. But the chicken empanadas are crazy bad. The peanut butter cheesecake is amazing. Pick one up to bring to your next event. Same can be said of the dulce de leche cake. It is perfectly gooey, Carmel is packed in, and truly- you won't be disappointed. I'm not a giant fan of any donuts so I'm not a good reviewer of those. My husband loves them though and he is thrilled when it is a buy one get one deal- because he comes home with far too many. The selection is plentiful. Staff is kind even when very busy. Great customer service in Beacon Hill and I give zero stars for the customer service in Everett. The third time coming in the Everett location and the lady with glasses is very rude and abrupt. Pretty excited to see a bakery like this in North Everett. Very clean and the employees are nice. I ordered quite a few things when I came here so I'll just review them one by one: Lemon Tart - Not sure how to describe the filling but it was sort of elastic? The crust was soggy. Not my favorite. Egg Tart - Filling had better texture and had nice subtle sweetness. Crust was also soggy, so maybe that's just how they bake it. CroNut - I expected this to be flaky, but it was pretty dense. Taste is fine, but I don't get "croissant" when I'm eating this. Donut balls - Same dense texture as the cronut. Not great. Fruit pebble donut - This one was good. Frosting was delicious and the crunchy cereal is a good contrast. Dough was perfect. Ube cake - Awesome! Definitely the star of show. Very moist and the flavors were on point. Really enjoyed this. Note that we went around 4pm and the donuts that were dense had been out all day. We did get BOGO which is nice. My wife went back in the morning and said the selection looked a lot fresher. The Ube itself is worth a 2nd trip. Just have to pick and choose the right items at the right time. read more
