I also bought a drink and it took over 10-15 minutes, when the shop wasn't even busy. When asked about that status of my order, the employee responded so disrespectfully and with an attitude. We decided to come here instead of our original favorite boba place, Coffee Haus. Big mistake... The boba we ordered was not blended enough and was very mediocre, considering it's price of 5 bucks a drink... We ordered a tiramisu as well, and it was very average- if that. The tiramisu had no coffee flavor and the sponge cake was quite dry. For it's price, I would not recommend coming here. read more

I really wanted to like the place as a local bakery and coffee shop but it just didn't hit it for me. The space is nice, very modern with a lot of lounge area for conversation, and the baked items looked good but the experience lacked a bit for me for the price. The lattes were okay but priced a little high for being a one size mug on the smaller side, and the tiramisu was good, and portioned great for someone watching their calorie intake (which we appreciated) again though, each bite and we couldn't help but think of the price. Near perfect cafe spot. The workers are easy to work with and get your order ready pretty fast. The food and beverages are nothing to write home about but they're good. I'd recommend getting a cheesecake they have on the glass display, good texture and right amount of sweetness. Although they are kinda small. The milk tea is a little too icy and fruity. I'd say they can use some more milk to make it more creamy. The main thing about this spot that makes it a 4 star cafe is the interior and overall vibe. It feels spacious, homey, and chill. Very disappointed that whenever I search bingsu, bingsoo, or patbingsu on Yelp, this store doesn't come up on search results even though I live very close to them. Been here several times for pastries. Had bingsu (Korean shaved ice) delivered from Grubhub recently, and they came icy cold. None of them melted. My wife and I come here on a weekly basis. The first time we visited we were astonished at the clean and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are always super polite and respectful to each customer that enters. The quality of their service as well as their drinks/pastries have surpassed my expectations when visiting a cafe. The presentation of their pastries alone show pride. The sheer joy of eating a cupcake or cookie is a bonus. Also,as a parent of a newborn I also respect the bakery for having a changing table in the bathroom as other cafes I've visited did not. We came across this bakery because Coffee Haus was way too packed and didn't want to wait in line. This is nice bakery with lots of seating and a good variety of desserts and coffee. I like how u can bag your own desserts on the side. I got a scone to go and can't wait to eat it lol. But to eat there, we shared a Mango binsoo. It was definitely mangoe-y. I wish it had some crunch in it or Mochi to offset all the mango flavor but it was refreshing. Kinda pricey for binsoo. I'll definitely be back to try a latte or cheesecake. read more

I've been to Knead about 5-6 times. All difference experiences each time . I had a few items that were not good like the cookies but, I got a gluten free cake there that was absolutely amazing. The last 2 visits I was very impressed. I got a gf blood orange hazelnut muffin that was spectacular, I went the next day to buy more. My friend & I were here the first time & tried out their Green Tea bubble tea. Since it's right a couple doors from Coffee Haus, why not give it a try & so we did. My comments are as follows: A.) POSITIVE Comment - Physical layout is great cuz it's modern, clean, quiet & not crowded especially if you are the type of person who wants to stay away from loud and/or noisy crowd. But, I like both being in the crowd & being alone having coffee especially when studying. Also, cakes & pastries looks tasty. I tried one of their bean bread & it did taste good. B.) NEGATIVE Comment - So, the first time we went there, we ordered the Green Tea Bubble Tea with Tapioca & the green bean bread. While ordering, the cash register/barista who's the only cuacasian-white with a slight droop-eyelid on the left at that time asked us what would we like to have (flat-face, not smiling at all) unlike those other greeters who has a great smile with a welcoming approach. I just thought she probably was having a bad day, so I just ignored it and it may probably go away when I just give her the smile back and asked if I can have the largest size they have & she said with an attitude that they only have one size (still, no smile non-apologetic & just staring at me waiting for another question I think), so I said, Oh OK I'll take that size no problem. Since, it was our first time there not knowing how the service is going to be (though, I expect positive as we always do), I was about to get the bean bread I paid for & as I was looking carefully cuz I saw that there were 2 different ones (one with sesame seed on top & one without (but I wasn't so sure, so I asked her nicely what's the difference (though I know I can read the label), so I grab one bean bread already packed in a plastic & she said (without looking at me) what you want is without sesame (not friendly face again). Seems like she is really having a rough day. I just ignored & thanked with a smile & she didn't even look at me & didn't even respond at all. The following month came, my husband asked me if I wanted to get my Bingsoo st Coffee Haus, so he can get his Green Tea Hot Latte at Knead Bakers & Cafe. I said, OK why not. So, we went to Knead Bakery & Cafe first since we parked right across their store. While walking, I already informed my husband that I was there last month & careful when you encounter the cash registe/barista cuz she didn't provide us an excellent customer service (maybe, she was just having a bad day or what). Then, my husband said, oh no I had a great service the last time I was there & ordered my Green Tea Hot Latte. When we entered, this same girl white-caucasian with a droop-eyelid on her left eye was the one who happens to be by the register. I warned my husband ahead with a look-sign. This girl said, "what can I have for you? (Without a smile, just straight face) waiting on our order. I let my husband ordered his & he specifically gave her a detailed of his order (Green Tea Hot Latte with 10 scoops of matcha & no sugar or fructose). The girl said, it can only have 2 scoops and it has to have a sugar. Then, my husband said, "the last time I ordered Green Tea Hot Latte, I did ask the same thing 10 scoops of matcha with no sugar & it was given welcomely to him without any questions. The Korean lady looks like business partner or co-owner was there too & was even smiling while she was there listening with my order." So, then this white-caucasian cash register/barista just said, OK sure then she completed our payment went on to do it. Took 18mins for her to complete it. But, while she was doing it, we noticed that she kept on stirring the matcha right on the very served cup and kept on squeezing liquid sugar from a white tube so many times as I watched her. I didn't say a word cuz I don't want to cause any scene. Maybe, I was just thinking NOT to come back there anymore. So, she put the Latte by the corner table without even smiling nor thanking us & just turned her back. While in the car, my husband slightly drink his Tea and he almost choke cuz it was so sweet. He had no choice, but not to drink it anymore & threw it out. Would not recommend this business to anyone at all. Simple SUGGESTION to owner(s): Owner(s) MUST do undercover to observe this girl or else you will lose great customers & reputation is crucial in business, long term. Unlike, Coffee Haus has a great reputation & their emoloyees looks well-trained & always display an excellent customer care experience! read more

A very unwelcoming place! As I'm approaching the door to open it a lady rushes to shut off the open sign. Mind you their business profile on google says they're open until 1130pm and this is happening at 1054pm. This is not the first time I'm going to this place and also not the first time I've felt unwelcomed! They have bad customer service on the whole. I wouldn't waste my time or money here. Came here while in town visiting family and so happy we stopped here! We first went to another cafe just down a few doors from this one but we walked in and nobody bothered to acknowledge us. Then we realized they didn't really have bakery items to eat so we came down here instead. The service is awesome so I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews. We were greeted right when we walked in and helped promptly. Someone, I would assume the owner, even came by and greeted us and let us try a sample of some of their other items. Coffee was delicious, my fiancé had the caramel macchiato and it was the best either of us has had. My croissant was fresh from the oven and was amazing! What a wonderful place! It's so pretty inside and modern. They have couches on one side and on the other both low and high tables to choose from. The tea is wonderful. I had one that had blossoms and they brew the tea for you with free refills. They also have coffee selections and many beautiful desserts and breads. Everyone here is so very nice and welcoming.
