    Cupcakes and red-velvet mini cake
    Natalie G.

I first found Dessert Delivery a few years back when I'd had enough of a coworker (the office party planner) torturing us with Buttercup's cupcakes (I find their cupcakes rather dry and the frosting to be pure sugar without much flavor). One day, I just kept walking and stumbled on Dessert Delivery. WHOA what a difference! The selection of what they offer is so incredibly creative that I haven't even gotten to the cookies yet. There's so much more that draws your eye as soon as you walk in -- the floral bouquet cakes, the mini cakes and OMGoodness those cupcakes. Their chocolate confections are so incredibly rich that it makes you wonder if they haul it in by the truckload. Tip: It's especially rich in the chocolate butter cream frosting. If you really love the stuff and you don't go with the chocolate flourless truffle, then go with a chocolate/chocolate cupcake and you'll see what I mean. The almond turc (twice-baked croissant) -- is a guilt-ridden dieter's nightmare, but it's worth every single bite. The checkerboard cake is buttery and filling. I guarantee if you leave it out on your desk at work, people will constantly stop and ask, "What's that and where'd you get it?" My only regret is that I no longer work in the area and I can't get to Dessert Delivery as often as I'd like. But it's my go-to place when I want to do something special for friends' birthdays and celebrations, or when I just want to treat myself. I'm sure I'll get to the cookies at some point, but they offer so much more -- and with incredibly friendly service! I'm a fan for life.

Massive chocolate cake, complete with delivery candles

So unlike most of these reviews, I haven't been to their location. I may be one of those "fat, lazy people who either doesn't know better or are unwilling or unable to get off their ass" ... or someone who recently moved out here who has a very caring and concerned mom. My mom had a massive chocolate cake delivered to my office on my birthday, since she was worried that my birthday would be overridden by apartment hunting and being cheap. She's probably right, she usually is. In any case, I believe that the 10-inch, 1000-pound mountain of chocolate is their Chocolate Mud Cake, but I'm not sure. It was delicious layers of moist chocolate cake and thick chocolate cream frosting, with walnuts mixed in. Very, very rich, but delicious in moderation. I think that what really made Dessert Delivery stand out in my mind (not that I have a lot of experience with cake deliveries) is that the top of the cake was personalized, and the top of the box came with candles AND matches taped to it. It also came with a cake knife and enough plates, napkins and forks for everyone. Very nice touch. It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone (a few new coworkers told me they love my mom) and there is still some left here in my fridge, if you'd like a piece!

This little shop is so cute with a ton of different offerings in all sizes. We settled for two things. I got the mini strawberry shortcake. This was really just a bunch of perfectly sweeteened whipped cream that glomp hugged a piece of cake and happened to pass by a few strawberries. It was so good! My friend had the raspberry chocolate ganache and had to fight her way through the ganache to get at the cake and get bits of it onto the fork and into her mouth. The ganache was super rich, but very yummy.

Had to throw a quarter in the picture to show how big these cookies are!!!

It was just ok. Food was room temp, but I heated it up and it was still just ok. The egg was pretty good though. I don't like the BBQ taste and was just trying this place out. This place is at the Picnic digital food court/ghost kitchen at W46th St in the heart of Times Square. It's for pickup and delivery only and they have a variety of foods from about 15+ restaurants using the space. There is a small ledge table by the door and window, so you can actually eat fast on it. They also have tables and seatings right outside.

It is a true gem in Times Square! We were staying in Times Square and really craving Asian cuisine--but as anyone knows, it can be surprisingly hard to find a genuinely good, satisfying dinner in that area. Finding Bee-Licious was such a gift. From the moment we walked into Picnic (a digital ordering food court where multiple kitchens operate under one roof and you input your order electronically) the staff (Kai) was incredibly kind and accommodating, taking the time to recommend the honey BBQ pork combo--and wow, we are so glad we listened. The meal came complete with fluffy rice, a perfectly cooked fried egg, and a freshly prepared salad of crisp lettuce, sweet corn, and carrots tossed in a light, refreshing vinaigrette. The combo even included a water or soda, which felt like such a thoughtful touch. This meal was truly the highlight of our day. It tasted home-cooked, savoury, well-prepared, generously portioned, and absolutely scrumptious. Every bite was comforting and balanced, not heavy or rushed--just honest, delicious food made with care. We're Filipino-Canadian and lucky enough to have some of the best Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese food on the West Coast (Vancouver!), and this meal genuinely tasted like home. That says everything. We would 100% recommend Bee-Licious to anyone craving an Asian-flavoured, well-balanced meal--especially if you're overwhelmed by Times Square dining options. Please support local businesses and eat at Bee-Licious. You won't regret it!

In helping him troubleshoot the block, I learned of this amazing take out sushi that is unlike any other take out I've had before. We went for the Joji Box 1 and I wasn't sure what to expect but wow. This little box of goodness rivals some omakases I've had in person. The fish was fresh, and the rice was perfect temperature without falling apart. Even the box felt like it was a high end gift box. Everything is tucked away in this box: chopsticks, napkins, sauce dishes, fresh real wasabi, and even soy sauce from a tiny bottle. What a treat. Also their spicy tuna is easily one of the best I've had in recent years. Just wow.

I'd splurge on it if you want to treat yourself to a good "to go" lunch or dinner. Definitely do so if you have corporate meal allowance. I was always curios about Joji Box but it' s not cheap - so like many I wondered if it was worth it. Eventually took one for the team. The first time I got the omakase box I didn't love having to sauce/wasabi it myself but I think that's just being picky. The last time I got the omaakase box, the omakase chirashi and the maki flight. The omakase box is a good assortment with a shimi, salad, two maki rolls and 10 nigiri. The pieces vary with premium ingredients like kinmedai, ikura, uni, toro, etc. It's costly at $62 but I think you get what you pay for. The chirashi had a variety of sashimi, lots of ikura and plenty of sushi rice. It's very good but for $50 I'd rather kick in more $ for the omakase. Maki Flight is great, $21 for a sampling of their three best rolls. It's 12 pieces total but they're nice size with a good amount of filling. If you're looking to treat yourself for lunch or maybe a nicer dinner takeaway - solid choice. I'm convinced enough that I'll try Joji for real one night.
