The staff was very helpful in guiding me to make selections for several dietary concerns, and be able to accommodate those people. Along with that, they made and decorated a delicious couples cake for our daughters wedding, that was the exact flavor they had originally chosen when the wedding was to be held in another state. 3.5 stars. The desserts here are absolutely amazing. They both look and taste amazing. I've gotten cupcakes, brownies, coffees, teas and more here and have loved them all. The reason for my deductions is the limited space and the unfriendly staff. The entire place is cramped and not made for more than 3 parties. They have steps that lead to an upstairs area, but customers are not aloud up them. They need to have it roped off or at least a sign, because it is very misleading. Also, the staff is very unfriendly. Whenever you ask a question they seem annoyed. Whenever you stare into the case, they seem annoyed. Overall the staff just acts like they have better things to be doing. While I love this place, the staff keeps me away! read more

Love the cozy atmosphere this cafe provides. I've visited here multiple times and got the lemon bars, fudge bombs, and brownies. All were delicious! They also have great teas and coffees which can be customized a ton. The bagels with cream cheese are also amazing. There is lots of dessert variety too which can suit your needs. read more

I've been here half a dozen times over the course of a year and I've noticed a pattern: unfriendly, annoyed workers. It's very disappointing because the desserts are great and it's a nice place. But I've consistently felt a negative energy there. Ask about ingredients: annoyed. Ask for drink customizations: annoyed. Change the culture. Be friendly and wanting to help. They make a pretty decent Latte. There dessert case is simply breathtaking. The desserts look amazing and everything is so we'll organized and put together. The desserts taste amazing. The prices aren't to bad. Your looking at about $2.50-$5.00 per dessert. I thought the staff was friendly. Since my visit was in the spring outdoor seating was available yay! There is not a lot of seating inside so I might get it to go if I was coming during a cooler time of the year. So if your a coffee or dessert lover you gotta check them out! read more

Cute little coffee shop in Hershey, PA. You'd expect to find a coffee shop like this in NYC and not in central PA. Nice decor, decent pastry and beverage selection - some unique. I ordered a few items to go. The peanut butter chocolate cupcake was good. The cupcake was moist not too sweet and had the hershey peanut butter cup on top with peanut butter frosting. It was good. The lemon tart was pretty good. wish it had more crust on the bottom. It was not too tart, so that made up for it. The chocolate chip cookie dough brownie was delicious, and I don't care much for brownies. The coffee was Peet's, and was good. There are promotions daily. Today was BOGO cupcakes, tomorrow is BOGO muffins, etc. What I like about Desserts Etc is that their pastries don't appear overly sweet like many places. Pastry prices are on par or cheaper than Starbucks. Pastries are comparatively larger portions. Definitely would come again when visting Hershey park! read more

This is a cute little shop that is across the street from the parent "The Hershey Pantry". The interior is cozy, with couches and tables. The desserts look amazing, and completely reinforced my impression of Hershey (chocolate/dessert heaven). I have to say though, I got a scone with bacon bits inside (yes, it's savory, I know, but it was also like 10am), and I just wasn't jiving with it. I ordered a fruit smoothie peach and ginger, it was the most bland thing ever, so I switched it out for a crispy bar and carrot cake muffin. The crispy bar had a slight stale taste, and the muffin was just ok, however the icing was odd in consistency. Also I explicitly asked are there raisins in the muffin, I was told no, but it indeed has raisins -__- I am not sure what the hype is about, but I will not be going back. They added seating! Awesome. The outdoor seating area is really nice when the weather's good (and before the bugs invade), but they also added indoor tables which greatly improve your chances of sitting down to enjoy your treat. Good work, Desserts! Coffee continues to be reasonable but they could improve considerably by adding whole milk to their offerings. They have a sister location though so the manager called them to hold the one apple pie they had left. She then went above and beyond and went and picked it up for us while we had our coffee. This review comes after a few years of steady patronage. This bakery has laughably bad service. I don't specifically know what the issue is that they have with their customers, but at this point, it is insulting. First scenario: you come in and know exactly what you want to order. At best, the person behind the counter will attempt to smile as you make your purchase. What usually happens: they will literally scowl at you while ringing you up. Second scenario: you come in, and since it is a bakery with many different items on display, you take a minute to stand in the back and pick out your items. You are out of the way and not obstructing the line from moving. Have a question about what's in the item? Honestly don't even ask. They are so incredibly rude and will actively sigh at you with annoyance. I don't understand it. I used to try and be pleasant, smiling and thanking them profusely. But after years of this type of treatment, I've kind of given up. I also used to think they had a problem with me, but I have observed them treat the other people in line this way also, so it's just their overall attitude. They simply do not want to be bothered. Also, on two occasions they have charged me for an item I did not purchase, and rather than question it and deal with their disgust, I just let it be. As for their food - really a hit or a miss. The baked oatmeal is consistently good. Some of the cupcakes are well done. A couple of the breakfast items (scone, sticky buns) are decent. A lot of the items are average or cloyingly sweet. Overall, my advice? Skip it and check out the much better sister establishments - Hershey Pantry and Irv's Pub. Great food (the Pantry serves the baked oatmeal as well) with staff that isn't actively rude to their customers. read more

I wanted to order a custom cake for my son's first birthday because we like their desserts. I went into the store and inquired two weeks out and was given a card and told to email the person who does it. I then called one week out to make sure I still had time and was assured they needed 72 hours notice and to email. So - I emailed a note to the baker with photos and a subject line that said "Custom Cake Order for 8/29". I had a number of email clarifications with Ashley and was pleased with her help in getting what I wanted. I called to see what time the cake would be ready on 8/29 and it wasn't even started because I didn't give a date. This was hours before 30 people were coming to my house. The girl on the phone laughed and asked if they could put something together for me. The cake I was ordering was 190.00 it was not a cheap kid's birthday cake and this was my customer experience. I suggest working on customer communication outside an email message - or having some reading help when processing important orders. How I was treated was disappointing and we will not be going back to any affiliated businesses. We used to frequent the Hershey Pantry and Desserts regularly. read more

I ask her if she gave me the peanutbutter silk pie, because it looks like she had the chocolate one. She did correct that error (glad I was watching) then to top it off, my cappuccino is not flavored at all. Very disappointing. They were not overly busy. Excellent variety of baked goods and drinks. They had a lot of gluten free options for me (I have Celiac disease) and many more regular baked goods..all beautifully displayed. My only complaint would be that my gluten free dessert was put in the same box next to my husband's regular sticky bun. Cross contamination can make some people with gluten problems very sick. I will definitely go back but will be sure to ask for separate packaging next time. read more
