Desserts are yummy but employees aren't!! Don't want to work, bad attitudes and snarky demeanor. My friend asked for an iced green tea and were told " we don't have that" yet they had hot green tea!! Cozy, little, place located in Hershey conveniently off the main road. It has a beautiful exterior which sets it apart from the surrounding business. Inside is always appropriately decorated, and filled with customers (which either means it's good or just small)! Workers are knowledgeable about their product and pleasant to talk too! Coffee is fresh and has always been just right for me, I tend to couple it with the black bottom cupcake which is the perfect combination. The slight downsides are during the winter their is limited seating inside, which is made up for by the ample summertime seating outside. And the prices are pretty high, but everything is baked in the stores basement so you know you are getting fresh product! read more

Love the variety of cupcakes, donuts, sweets that they provide. I've had the chai tea lattee when I have gone in the past, but am not a fan. I've only tried their desserts once but I keep coming back for their sugar free latte/mocha they are the only place in the area that I can find quality sugar free drinks with more than just vanilla sf syrup. They also have a drink club to earn free drinks, after 10 paid you get one free. Something unique is you just give them your name, you don't have to remember to get a stupid card punched. I absolutely love everything about this place! I have made special trips to Hershey just to get baked goods and coffee. The shop itself has a pleasant vibe to it. The baked goods are beautifully displayed and they always have something new to try. My favorite is their sugar cookies. I usually really like Desserts Etc. However my coworker and I ordered 2 dozen of the "breakfast tray" pastries for a meeting. With a box of coffee to go factored in, it was almost $70. I was disappointed when I picked up the order this morning. They counted sticky bun halves as "one" item. The other items on the tray looked like something I could have bought at the grocery store. We visited the shop to place the order and the salesperson that helped us made no mention of the size or the "halving" of the pastries on the tray. I called this morning to report what we had received and finally spoke to Hillary at the bakery. She said that it was a good price point for what we received even after I explained that her salesperson did not explain the size or quality of the items that were to be included. It was all about how the portion size gets factored in. If I would have had that information ahead of time, I would have just picked my own selections out of the case this morning. Working at a very large organization in the Hershey area, I will definitely not be ordering any trays or large orders from Desserts Etc. and will not be recommending it to other people at my place of employment. A little pricey but very good. not a lot of seating inside. a lot of options makes it very hard to decided. the Peanut Butter Silk pie is awesome! I do find there big cream filled Muffins a little on the dry side. once you get passed the cream and are left with the bottom it become difficult to finish. coffee is good. they also have smoothies with the option for protein. read more

This place is phenomenal. Everything is amazing! The flavored baked oatmeal with cream and the carrot cake are by far the best I have ever had. The eclairs, muffins and fudge bombs are pretty amazing as well. Everything is always fresh, staff is super friendly and they have a great atmosphere to sit and relax over coffee. I can not say enough great things about this place. They also do incredible custom cakes. I sent them a photo of a cake I wanted done and they created an exact replica. They have great gluten free bagels, cupcakes and pastries every day. My husband has Celiac and this is one of the few places in Hershey we can get a bagel that he can eat. They make great cakes too. I ordered one for my daughter's baptism from there and it tasted as good as it looked. read more

The Desserts etc was just the place to eat after dinner. The choices were insane, I sat there for 15 minutes making up my mind. I chose the coconut cake with hot chocolate, my friend chose the raspberry cake and hot chocolate . They served us each a large piece of cake, wow. And the cakes were amazingly good. The hot chocolate was a bit hot, but nothing you couldn't fix with a little cold milk. The girls there were friendly and helpful. I would recommend everyone to go here and try it out. The prices were a bit high, but considering what you got, it was well worth the trip. I would've liked to try everything there, but our trip nixed that idea. read more

My husband and I recently left Desserts, etc and with a NASTY taste in our mouths. Not from the food but from the complete lack of warmth & caring from its personnel. We spent upwards of $40 on 2 drinks and 5 pastries, 2 of which we ate there and the rest we requested to go. To go meaning we were shoved a small box and left to our own devices. If you can't properly care for your customers, why be in business at all? Next time I'll hit up the Dunkins down the road. Even their drive thru shows more attention than the likes of you. I stopped in one Saturday morning last month to check this place out. From the outside it looked intriguing and the inside atmosphere was cozy and warm. People were drinking coffee and eating their pastries. I looked over the display case while a few customers were ordering and milling about. One major flaw stood out to me: not once did an employee greet me, welcome me, or say she would be with me in a moment. It was like I was invisible. As background, I should state that I have previously worked in the customer service industry and trained others in the proper techniques of excellent customer service. This place is hugely lacking in that area which greatly surprised me! Bakeries are typically businesses that are friendly and the people are passionate about what they do (at least the successful ones are). Sadly, I left without buying anything because of this experience. In all honesty, I'm not really sure if I will return. read more

Wanted to love it and was excited to stop in! Easy to find with plenty of parking, this bakery is clean, inviting and guests are welcomed by a dessert case overflowing with wonderful baked goods: sticky buns, cupcakes, gluten-free and Stevia desserts, doughnuts, cookies, whoopie pies and more! That doesn't include the extensive drink menu: coffees, iced drinks, hot cocoa, teas, etc. The presentation couldn't be better! Note: seating is nearly non-existent. Unfortunately, our desserts were a let-down. I was yearning for more banana in my banana fluffer nutter cupcake and had a hard time identifying any flavor other than the heavy peanut butter icing. Our sugar cookie was a dry disappointment and we left more than half of it on the plate. We also tried the pineapple upside down cupcake, which had too much cinnamon in the frosting and not enough pineapple in the cake. I will go back and update my review after a second visit but I'm truly sad after my first visit. read more

Awesome coffee (Peet's) and freshly baked everything! We had a cranberry scone; it hit the spot. To top it off they even have delicious gluten free cookies; we had a oatmeal chocolate chip and it was fantastic. The staff is friendly and welcomed our two year old daughter with open arms. I finally decided to try this place after hearing it mentioned by several locals. Since it was Easter I thought getting a nice cake would save me time. What a disappointment! Decided on a coconut cake and although it looked beautiful the icing was so full of crisco the lard stuck to the roof of my mouth. The carrot cake cupcakes were dry and were honestly the worse I've had. Very overpriced. Honestly Giant grocery store bakery makes better cakes! Cute place, coffee good and the eclairs not bad. I have been here numerous times, hoping each time that it will be better than the last, but I come out disappointed every time. I have tried at least 6 different cupcakes, numerous brownies and 3 different cheesecakes. Everything is alright, tastes fine and all, but nothing is fabulous- like I expect from desserts coming from the Hershey Pantry. I just love this place. I used to work right down the street from it and it took everything in me not to stop by every single day. The cupcakes are simply fantastic and there always seem to be new and different flavors in the case each day. There are a few staples they always have but it's great to look in the case and find a flavor you normally wouldn't think of to try. For me, their Red Velvet and Chocolate w/ Peanut Butter icing are my favorites. A few months back I had a specialty cake made for my husband's birthday. They took my ideas and flew with them, creating a seriously delicious cake that looked just as cool. While I typically get their cupcakes, you really can't go wrong with any of their desserts or pastries. For those that are following a gluten-free diet they have several gluten-free options.
