Normally when you have a great view in San Diego, the good isn't great. Thank you Destiny Coast for changing that! The food is great, very tasty and well put together! The coffee was pretty tasty too. Only drawback, parking is pretty limited so you'll have to valet.

We ordered brunch then you sit at a table. We arrived just before the lunch crowd arrived so we sat at a table overlooking the ocean. We shared the ham, egg and cheese croissant and the chicken and artichoke soup. The sandwich was delicious and filling. The soup was amazing. Excellent broth. Very enjoyable. Magnificent location in La Jolla. The vibe is fun, with sun on an open air deck.

We were scouring through Yelp to find a new restaurant to try out. We found Destiny Coast to be on the list of eateries with a view! Our GPS took us to the first entrance. The sign indicated the restaurant, but it was for deliveries only! It's technically not the restaurant's fault, but it seemed challenging at that moment. After turning around and took the second entrance, we found it! The parking lot was small. That's free parking. There's paying parking on the main street in front of the restaurant entrance. As we walked in, we were quickly greeted by several staff members. We grabbed a menu and stood in line to order. We ended up ordering the Orchard Chicken Salad Croissant and the Coastal Chickpea & Salmon bowl. We also ordered the Sunrise Latte, Purple Haze Latte, and two of the chef's specials of the cinnamon rolls. After ordering, they handed us a number. They told us they would deliver our order at our table. I believe the dinner service is the table service. OHMYGOODNESS!! The food was very fresh and delicious! My croissant had the outside crunch to it. The inside was very moist and buttery tasting. Everything was made with love! The main seating area is within ocean view. It was nice to sit and chat with the soft ocean waves in the background. It was a beautiful lunch day!! After our lunch, we moved over to the couch seating area to finish our coffee and watch the waves. There's a heater, but it wasn't needed that day. Overall, we truly enjoyed our meal with the beautiful view. Parking is a little tight. Price wise?!?! A little on the high side, however, you're paying for the ocean views! Also, everything is higher everywhere. This was well worth the visit. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and upbeat.

I found this place on Instagram and wanted a brunch spot with a nice view for my birthday. They do have parking, but we parked on the street and walked a little. It wasn't too bad at all. I didn't try any food this time, but I did have two Bloody Marys (I love a good Bloody, and it was my birthday after all), and they were great. My boyfriend got a coffee and said it was very good as well. The service was nice, the view was beautiful, and the overall vibe was great. We sat by the fire pit area (it was turned off since it was daytime and hot out), and it was such a nice atmosphere. We took a walk afterward to enjoy the views even more. Would definitely go back and try more items next time!

04/10/2026 A friend recommended this place for the view, and I agree--it's amazing! The food is also delicious and made with fresh ingredients. What we ordered: -Shakshuka ($26) 5/5: Fresh tomatoes and arugula perfectly balanced the runny poached eggs. -Matcha Latte ($11) 5/5: Best I've had; the lavender syrup and oat milk (+$1) were great. -Crispy Mashed Potatoes ($9) 4/5: Creamy inside, but a bit too salty for our taste. -Americano ($6) 4/5 Overall, a very relaxing breakfast. Arriving early made parking easy!

Million-Dollar Views & Scrumptious Eats If you're looking for the perfect spot for ocean views, this is it. The location is absolutely stunning and makes for an incredible backdrop while you eat. The Food & Service: The food was nothing short of scrumptious--every bite was delicious and well worth the visit. It's a counter-service setup, which keeps things moving quickly. The employees behind the counter were efficient and friendly, making the whole process seamless. Bottom Line: Come for the view, stay for the delicious food. It's the perfect casual coastal getaway.

We came for the daytime breakfast/lunch hours, which are totally casual counter-service with open patio seating. It is first-come, first-served, and we did have to endure an hour wait--but let me tell you, it is 100% worth it.Here is what we ordered and completely devoured:Destiny Cinnamon Rolls: Pure heaven. Sweet, gooey, and a must-order. French-Style Omelette: Super delicate, perfectly cooked, and elegant.French Toast: Fluffy, golden, and delicious. Crispy Bacon & Chicken Sausages: The perfect savory, salty balance. Mimosas: Crisp, refreshing, and the ultimate pairing for those cliffside ocean views. ‍ The ServiceOn top of the killer views and food, the staff here was incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly. They handle the crowds so well!

Beautiful spot for brunch with the girls! The view is absolutely stunning and service is excellent. We tried the omelette (with the caviar addition), shakshuka, and French toast, as well as the cocktails and mimosas, and the lemon olive oil cake. The food is decent, nothing particularly memorable but everything was tasty - pretty standard brunch food. Prices a little on the higher side, but reasonable for the view and location. All in all we had a lovely experience and would return for brunch with a view.

If you're looking for a restaurant with beautiful views, this is the place. Destiny Coast really delivers. When you walk in, there's a hostess stand where you check in for a table. They also have a few lounge chairs and open seating areas that are first come, first served. You order at the counter, and they bring the food out to you. The chicken croissant sandwich we ordered was huge and super filling. It was enough to feed three people. The croissant was soft and flaky, and the chicken filling was flavorful. It was a really satisfying sandwich. We also tried their house special cinnamon roll. I might be in the minority here, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The frosting tasted more like cream cheese than a sweet icing, and the flavor felt a little underwhelming to me. The roll itself wasn't as soft as I prefer. Overall, I loved the ambiance, and the sandwich and ambiance alone makes it worth visiting. Next time, I'd try a different dessert and skip the cinnamon roll. Parking is limited. You can valet by the hour or park on the street in the neighborhood just before the restaurant, which is a short and easy walk.

Absolutely lovely place. Location is amazing and ambiance is really nice. The food felt fresh and the service was courteous and quick. Definitely, if you are in the area, give them a try. Share your experiences and enjoy the views at this place. Happy brunch everyone!

Beautiful views and delicious! Easy valet for $12 if you don't want to deal with parking or a walk down the hill. Since I paid parking anyways my daughter and I walked the walking trail nearby for another 20 minutes- beautiful views! Honestly a must see and I would come back to eat again!

    Orchard Chicken Salad Croissant
    Selena L.

I feel that the food was not the most amazing and for the price. This chicken orchard sandwich was big portion but I would have preferred a soft croissant. It is a harder crunch croissant and my friend also got one too and thought the same thing. The side usually is a salad but I upgraded for the potatoes. I will say I'm a HUGE potato lover and the potatoes were delicious and highly recommend. Two of my other friends got the salmon bowl which they did like. My friends and I each got various coffees: Purple Haze Latte, sunrise latte, and pacific coast cloud. All the coffees did taste delicious. I only gave this 3 stars because I feel that with the parking situation how you have to park on the hill parallel and walk down, and their lot is only valet, it's a bit annoying. It's first come first serve seating so we didn't get a table closer with a view even though we called ahead, then later they said those were saved for other people - kinda confusing. You do get up and go order the food yourself then they bring it to the table. Overall for the food and cost, I think other spots may be better!

We had a great time enjoying the patio as the only folks at 4 (happy hour is 4-6 pm). Eric was a very nice server too. I didn't like the happy hour wine choices last time, so today I got a mojito. It was not a happy hour special so not cheap - but it was perfection. (and green, which I wasn't thinking about LOL). The baja halibut taco for $12 was tasty and a good value for getting to pretend you're staying here at Estancia without paying $500 a night. We also got yucca fries, which were $8 for a plate and extremely delicious. Not the cheapest happy hour in town - but one of the classiest. Happy hour staycation at Mustangs & Burros is a-ok with me!

Three of the four plates set out when we arrived were dirty with some sticky sauce. Although the lamb shank and seabass were delicious in themselves, there was little substance to the dishes besides meat. I'd definitely recommend ordering to share, and with some side dishes or appetizers. The "salad" on the lamb shank was more like a garnish as the stems and leaves were bitter and hard to eat. Even after the $46 lamb shank, I was still hungry and ate fast food takeout. Ordering more would have been much too expensive. For 2 dishes it was $115 post tax+tip and we were disappointed.
