I was helping my friend find a gown. She had the extra challenge of being a second time and a bit older than the average bride. To top it off she had experienced one hell of a ride with some unethical antics from an out of state shop and then more from a local seamstress. We literally do not have the space here for all the details. My friend was without a gown and her wedding was 5, yes 5, days away!! She was having her hair done at Rumors and, what could only be portrayed in a Hallmark movie, looked out the window and realized a bridal shop was located in the same shopping center. She and her hairdresser went to the shop while her hair was in foils and knocked on the door. The shop owner was miraculously inside and brought her in and patiently listened to the whole story. An appointment was made for the following afternoon. My friend was shocked at how many dresses she was able to choose from and the owner came in for the ultimate save, remembering a dress she had from a discontinued line. It was as if the dress had been waiting for this bride. Everyone was conscientious about the budget and everything fell into place with a fair price for the gown and expedited tailoring. Alterations were made by the talented Viola (funny enough my friend and Viola had both lived in New Jersey, AND the same small polish town Viola is from is the exact same town my friend's great grandmother was from before she came to the US many years ago). Oh my goodness, the experience at Destiny's Bride was pretty much everything I would have dreamed of when looking for a dress for my special day! Lael (the owner) is the one that helped us but the entire staff chipped in as needed and kept things so fun and lighthearted, it really was an incredible experience and I got to try on the most beautiful gowns. Although I didn't end up finding my dream dress here, the time was very well spent and will forever be apart of the memories I hold dear when thinking back on this time before the wedding. I went to multiple bridal shops and this was by far my favorite and where I ended up purchasing two dresses. I had a hard time making a decision so I had multiple different appointments to try on dresses, at each appointment the staff was so kind and helpful. The experience itself was very laid back and I felt comfortable trying on any dresses without pressure. One of my favorite aspects of this shop is that they offer onsite alterations by their tailor who is extremely knowledgeable and skilled. Just had another "Pretty Woman" moment in Scottsdale that left me feeling like Vivian. I made the appointment over one week ago to be there. When she asked me my budget she scowled and said "our dresses go up to $20,000." She pointed me to the racks and said "they're all kind of mixed in." I asked "how does this work if I find something I want to try on?" She said "If you're able just take it down. Otherwise call for me and I'll see if I can get it down for you." Instead of helping me find a gown, she went to the back room. I left. The owner did call to apologize, but she also justified some of her behavior when she said "she should have communicated to you she was going to the back." it was an empty store, I made an appointment to be there, and she should have been helping me. I had a wonderful experience at Destiny's Bride. This was my third time going to buy a dress. This has by far been my best experience! My last two were in New Port and Costa Mesa and Destiny's Bridal exceeded those experiences. Sarah P helped me and was just so kind and sweet. Lisa is absolutely one of a kind. She immediately stepped up when my dress, which had been purchased elsewhere, went missing after the shop I had bought from went bankrupt. She made phone calls, reached out to her many contacts, and not only got me in personal touch with my gown designer (Randy Fenoli!), she also found my missing veil. When I was able to get my dress, mere days before my wedding, she offered her seamstress to make the alterations (badly needed, since the bankrupt shop ordered a dress at least 4 sizes too large). I had my perfectly altered dress back in just a couple of days. I can't say enough good about Lisa and Destiny's Bridal. I only wish I had saved myself the tears and anxiety by just starting there. read more

I experienced truly AMAZING customer service in my recent visit this March 2019 to Destiny's Bride! After ordering a dress at a different local bridal shop that ended up closing their doors without notice, leaving me without a dress just weeks before my wedding in April, my first stop was to Destiny's Bride to look for a new gown. I was a walk-in appointment on a Saturday afternoon and was immediately met with sympathy to my situation and an amazing positive attitude and immediate willingness to help assure me that I would be in a dress I love for my wedding day. The team sat down with me to look over the previous order I had made with the other shop, and offered to reach out to that designer on my behalf to see if my original dress was ever actually ordered by the prior shop's owner. They also took my measurements and allowed me to look through not only their off-the-rack sample options, but to also look at some options that they assured me could be ordered in time for my upcoming wedding date. The dress selection is out of this world, and the salon atmosphere is so cozy and mimics a "Say Yes to the Dress" vibe. Destiny's Bride truly cares about their customers, and I am so grateful for the wonderful customer service that I received from the team despite my short turnaround time and my walk-in appointment. Horrible experience! Do not go here! We live in Atlanta, and had visited several wedding dress stores there, ahead of the planned 5/18 wedding. In September 2017, while we were on vacation in Scottsdale, Arizona, we visited Destiny's Bride. We bought a Monique Lhillier bridal gown and paid cash for alterations. We were initially concerned about purchasing so far from home, but Callie, the sales manager, gave high praise to their in-house seamstresses, saying they had over 20 years experience and routinely alter dresses down from size 12 to 2. The same for their drycleaner who they described as specialized in handling delicate dresses and hand inspecting every inch of the trim embroidery, lace, beads etc. After 2 fittings, my daughter and I left the gown to be tailored and shipped to us after these services were finished. The gown arrived a few weeks late, looking dingy, yellow, and twisted up. The dress was dramatically changed, with tailoring that was sloppy, rushed, and unprofessional. The cups were different sizes, and the dress could not be worn as the zipper could not close the hand's-width gap in the back. Estimates from several Atlanta wedding dress shops ran about $1500-2000 to undo the poor tailoring and refinish the dress. Lisa, the Destiny's Bride owner, refused to consider any reimbursement or to fix the damaged dress. We ended up buying another wedding gown in Atlanta, and donated the unwearable Destiny's Bride gown to Goodwill. The sales manager and owner will promise you everything but cannot deliver. Brides beware of this stressful experience which will ruin your happy memories of planning your big day. read more

I went to Destiny's Bride in April when I took a girls trip to Scottsdale. It was my first time trying on any wedding dresses and I was feeling a little overwhelmed. The store isn't overly big so it helped me narrow down my options (which is good). Joy was my consultant and was very pleasant to work with. She was respectful, honest, wasn't pushy, and didn't try to sway me too much into liking something. She gave me ideas and offered suggestions when it was needed, or when I was stuck in a rut :) I just came back to AZ to try on the dress and it fit like a glove (phew!). Joy helped me pack up my dress and even went out of her way to contact other bridal salons in Chicago for seamstress recommendations. That was such a kind gesture to do considering I had no clue who to call. I would refer anyone to go try on some amazing gowns there, you won't be disappointed! read more

I got a call today from the girls at Destiny's Bride telling me that my dress arrived... yay! After searching high and low for "the one," I found it at Destiny's Bride back in February... Like Kate C, I worked with Linda - she was fabulous! I felt comfortable immediately... I tried on a bunch of dresses but ultimately went with the first one I saw at the store. As I walked upstairs and the woman helping me at the time asked me what I was looking for, I looked up and said "something like... that!" (and pointed at my dress that was hanging on the mannequin). Linda helped me with envisioning accessories, etc... but I'm waiting until I see it again to make those decisions. When we put the order in, I was told the dress would arrive in September... but it's early August and it's here - no stress - gotta love that! My mom also found the dress she'll wear at the wedding at Destiny's Bride. If you are shopping for that perfect dress for your wedding, I highly recommend Destiny's! The store is beautiful. Stunning. The stuff you see on television programs and in magazines. I could not believe where we were. Like a fairy tale Rose showed us around. The gowns. Oh, the gowns. Designer, couture, amazing pieces. My imagination went to a bride walking down the aisle. A bride twirling on her special day with her family and friends at a reception. These dresses. Statement pieces. My bride (she's mine!) was looking for something unusual and conservative. She needed something unheard of in the bridal shopping schedule. Something off the rack. Something in a pastel color. Something that could be tailored for an event that is around the corner. No ordering. No waiting. (Right? Crazy.) Rose was there to save the day. Miraculously there is a secret corner with gowns meeting this unusual set of criteria. Rose provide excellent accessory suggestions which we jotted down. Of course Rose would know what was best. The accessories in this store are beautiful. Honestly, if you need something sparkly outside of a wedding, just come here. Who says there have to be rules to buy bling? I want a beautiful belt. Took too long to write this review but shoutout to this store is in order. March 2019- I had 3 long haul dress shopping days filled with multiple appointments each. I knew exactly was I was looking for, lace, long sleeve, fit in flair, beaded dress with ideally a v- shaped back for our November 2019 date. Went all around the valley, no shop had anything like it. I was starting to worry I'd have to buy something online (yikes). Destiny's was the last stop on what would be the last, long day of yet again not finding "the one"! My maid of honor, my mom and I went in at the latest appointment slot on a weekday and were immediately greeted by Lisa the owner. Off the bat, she seemed very experienced, excited and confident that they could find my dream dress that night. Introduced us to Joy who ran out appointment. We were also the only customers in the store and it was awesome to have the place to ourselves! Instantly vibed with Joy, very experienced, professional, yet laid back and sincere. They have an impressive inventory designer gowns, big names, smaller labels, and wide variety of dresses types, unlike any other shop I'd been to. I knew, Joy knew, and so did my mom and friend that when I put on this Angel Rivera dress that it was THE ONE! Joy assisted with the details regarding some modifications like a pro. She well connected too, super rad she knows the designer, and could text him directly during the process. She also helped us add sheer nude mesh to the back from Liancarlo, another designer hookup she has. I felt like I got the VIP treatment here! Also, alterations are all done on site and they have a capped out max $ which is awesome because we all know alterations can cost soo much! Martha was their seamstress who altered my dress to perfection! Bought my awesome veil here too, two parts with a cathedral for the ceremony and a shorter veil that I used as a blusher during the ceremony, which turned to a shorter veil for the day. They steamed and prepped my order and I picked it up the day before from Joy who even carried it out to my car for me! Felt like a million bucks on the big day, got soo many compliments, husband loved it. My only regret is that I didn't wear the cathedral veil for more photos after the church ceremony because it was gorgeous. Though Lisa, the owner, was with another customer, she seemed excited to help. Absolutely loved my shopping experience with Destiny's Bride. When I first called to schedule an appointment, Joy (the manager) told me about a sample sale they were having the weekend I was in town! It worked out perfectly because a dress I had my eye on qualified for the sample sale. When I arrived, I was met by Sarah who handed me a water (Arizona is so hot). Even though I went alone, I never felt lonely. Sarah was so attentive and easy going! She helped me in & out of my dress, educated me on designers, examined the bead work with me, and helped me narrow down my dress choices efficiently. In the end, I decided to get the dress I originally viewed online for a fraction of the cost due to the sale! After going through some other local bridal shops did I realize what a sub par service I got. Granted that at the time they were going through construction they could've done a much better job. I'm surprise to see a high rating considering expensive price and my experience. So here goes. First off they did not offer us water in the middle of May. Very limited selections, lace I found is very popular and they only had a handful. They may have been short staff or somethingI don't remember but I had an appointment and we had to wait to get service. I had a 8month pregnant friend with me and there was no restroom available. So she was told to go next door bc they understand that they were under construction. Well they didn't understand why she would be told that, so she went to a nearby restaurant, again, no public restroom available but she finally found one down stairs portion of the building. I found better service and selections at a nearby boutique called Lillian Couture, although I ended buying somewhere else. read more

She had been impressed by their ability to find her a perfect dress within her budget, without trying to force her to spend more. I was blown away by Lisa's sincere wish for me to find my dream dress, whether it be at her boutique or at another store. My mother, a major barganista, came with me and also fell in love with Lisa. I came in (6/2015) to try on dresses for my wedding for mid March. The customer service was great. The great news is I found my dress! I picked out a gorgeous belt that made my dress pop! I came in 2-27-16 for my first fitting. Service was great again. There was a huge FAIL! The company did not mention about ordering the belt as well as the dress. So now I have to go with a belt that is not the original one I fell in love with. Now I have to choose another belt and have to pay a rush fee to guarantee that the belt will be here in time for the wedding! 13 days til the wedding. I feel that the company should of ordered the belt with the dress and they should pay for the belt. read more

I came to Destiny's Bride for the very first time in April. They seem to be busy all the time. I waited for a little while before I was greeted. The salesperson handed me an iPad with pictures of their gown selections. Well...that's very different. I picked out a few dresses based on pictures and headed back to the fitting room. While they have very beautiful dresses...I was very disappointed at the sizes of their sample dresses. I normally wear a size 6. These dresses barely fit me and some did not zip up at all! Not every girl is a size of a model. The salesperson recommended this dress and I fell in love with it immediately!! Only to find out later the dress is almost $6000...It's way out of my budget. She helped me find a bunch of dresses in my price range that were my style and they were all BEAUTIFUL. Here's the best part - they do their own alterations and they have a $350 max for sizing alterations. They were willing to alter dresses down multiple sizes so I could find one that was available!
