This was my first stop for trying on wedding dresses. Brooke was amazing! She was super professional, warm, and super knowledgeable. I really appreciated her help in selecting dresses. I tried on a wide range of dresses but was able to narrow down the search so easily. I'm still extremely impressed with how she was able to cast a wide net but quickly help me narrow my search. She was very kind to my guests and we had fun trying on different veils. I also loved how she provided me with her card, followed up with me via email, and wrote down my favorite styles. Ultimately I found a dress elsewhere - mainly because I thought it would be easier for myself to find a place that also has alteration abilities. I could not be happier with my experience at Schaffer's Bridal! While I was looking for my dress I went to 3 other stores. I felt Schaffer's had the best selection and truly had dresses that would fit anyone's price range. While at Schaffer's I was torn between two dresses. The bridal consultant truly helped me pick the dress that I loved most. However the dress that was my runner up was also made in a mini version so I was able to leave with both dresses I loved! I had plans to go elsewhere as well, and I followed through on that, but Schaffer's is where I found my perfect dress. I can't speak too highly of my experience there with the stylist Taylor. I'm not the type of person to make spur of the moment large purchases, so I appreciated that they didn't pressure me into a sale here or make me feel uncomfortable in any way. I came with four guests, and there was space for everyone. The lighting is flattering but not artificially so, and the space allows for good viewing of the dresses from all angles. They're clear on pricing and sizing, and have recommendations on people who do alterations. While it's a professional business, I had a magical experience and felt so special preparing for my big day here with the most important women in my life. read more

Beware: New Tip feature added. My daughter & I visited two times when on the second visit we found THE DRESS! We loved that we got to work with the same staff member each visit as she remembered us and we started where we left off. It was an amazing experience and the entire staff was outstanding!! They were attentive, welcoming and professional. We purchased the dress putting the required deposit down and went on our way thrilled with having found the one. Once the dress arrived in the store we went in to try it on. We had the privilege of being helped by a different staff member and they were just as attentive to my daughter bringing veils and different hair items to try on with the dress. The whole experience was five star until I went to pay for the balance of the dress. Much to my surprise a tip selection popped up, reading different percentages without the dollar amount. This had not been here months earlier when we paid the deposit. I was so taken back at seeing this I blurted out 'not to make an awkward situation more awkward, but wow that's new'. To which a staff member said, yes they recently installed this. To which I asked a few questions 1. Is the percentage off of the total dress amount or the balance I was paying? Answer: the balance amount being paid that day. 2. How is the tip divided up? To find the dress we had two visits and were helped by the same person each of these times, but on the dress pick up day we had a new staff person and a much shorter visit. Answer: divided evenly between whoever has helped you. In the end I did leave a tip, but a flat rate not a percentage. Since then I have shared this story whenever I'm with a group & the topic of out of control tipping comes up. I can't believe a place of business would ask for a tip on a $3000 item!! Crazy! Buyer beware and plan ahead for what you'd like to tip. read more
