Brandon and Jupiter did a great job removing the mold issue in my 2006 Honda Odyssey minivan. The…read moremold was caused by a leak in one of the gasket seals in the back lift hatch. As a result, the water ingress caused mold to grow in my van which had been sitting in the driveway unused during the colder and wet months earlier in the year. Luckily I used Yelp to send out multiple requests from various other services but the main reason why I chose Jupiter and Lightning Mobile and why they stood out from the rest was nothing other than sheer professionalism. I don't know why people are hesitant to place a call anymore and just resort to sending messages out of pure convenience. To me I still value those simple gestures. I received a call directly from Jupiter while others just sent me convenient messages outlining their pricing. I'm glad Jupiter did reach out to me because he explained in great detail the entire process and what sort of work was involved including the reasoning behind the processes. Before any work was to be done, the cause of the leak needed to be addressed. Jupiter is also part of Water Doctors so he had some knowledge and expertise on how to handle the root cause of the issue. Had I hired those other guys out there, the leak would have cause the same issue again come rainy season. Just this simple gesture of receiving a call made me feel valued as a customer and that I would be getting my moneys worth. As for the work, both guys did a fantastic job. Both Jupiter and Brandon were meticulous but at the same time took lots of care and had great attention to detail. They cleaned out the other hard to remove stains on my carpet and mats with an enzymatic cleaner that I would have found difficult to clean on my own without the right tools and materials. The results brought new life to my old but reliable van. I told the guys how much this van had sentimental value to me and my family and they took real good care of it. I wasn't able to provide direct electricity or a water source for their use because I had contractors on site using those resources but I was really impressed with their mobile setup as they had equipment built inside their service van which was fully self-sufficient. Their service van is equipped with their own power source as well as water, HEPA cleaning system and many other equipments such as cleaning chemicals and other supplies. What also impressed me is that the setup in their van was built by themselves. Quite clever indeed! I was really impressed with the quality of work I received and I am more confident that the mold issue will not be a problem when the rains hit again. Just of note- these were two services rendered to me which incurred two separate charges. Nonetheless both my issues were solved. I'm a happy camper. I highly recommend Lightening Mobile because these guys took their time to do the job right, focused on the quality of work and are very proud of what they do.

To paint a picture, I cleaned my car prior to handing it over. There was only small debris and it is a small car. This was not a large job. I'll just bullet point this: - An hour and a half late to first appointment. - Said he would have the car for 6-8 hours, then pushed "another hour", "thirty more minutes", "ten more minutes", "five minutes out", until 10:30 pm, thirteen hours later. - Car came back in worse condition than what I handed over. There are rings of cleaner and dirt on every bit of upholstery. There is cleaner left on plastic parts, the door compartment still had wrappers and a parking slip in it (meaning it hadn't been touched at all), the drink holder still had sticky residue in it (meaning it hadn't been wiped), and I could see dirt in places where the vacuum didn't reach (meaning the seats were never removed). There are literally chicken nuggets and bottle caps in the seat belt pockets. - I sent pictures and asked him to come back out and was ignored until I said I would leave a review. He apologized, and we scheduled a new appointment on Monday with a window of arrival from 12-1. - He missed the entire appointment and texted me at 2 to reschedule. Then he missed the second window we scheduled, at which time I told him I was done waiting and asked for a refund, which he agreed to but has not provided. I have not heard from him since. If he disputes any of this, I have our full conversation with timestamps. I paid $250 and two full days sitting around waiting, to have my car come back in worse condition than when I gave it to him. Why - I'm so happy that Portland Auto Care ceramic coated our Airstream. It looks shiny and new like when we rolled it off the showroom floor 12 years ago. Ceramic coating makes complete sense but you better pick someone who knows what the heck they are doing! Benny is a meticulous master with a ton of experience - he learned auto care hanging out with his dad in the auto shop when he was "knee high to a grass hopper." Benny's knowledge and passion is evident when you meet him! He treated ceramic coating my Airstream like it was his own. He wanted it to look perfect. What makes Benny so successful - along with passion - he developed a painstakingly thorough process. The vehicle surface is completely decontaminated by removing every bit "inch by inch" of road grime, dirt, sticky tree sap, dried bugs and bird splatter embedded in the finish - and removing all the wax build up. When squeaky clean Benny applies the ceramic coating that may last 5 years or perhaps more. Benny is simply a "pro's pro" with a ton of passion for cleanliness, detailing and ceramic coating. I ran the back of my hand across the silky smooth aluminum finish! I love it!
