Took my 2025 Nissan Versa to Detail Doctor after buying it from CarMax. The car wasn't dirty, just dusty from transport, but Aldo and his team brought it back to life. Dropped it off Sunday morning, picked it up by 5pm--super easy. They handled everything (seats, steering wheel buildup, even the engine) and the car looked way better than I expected. I've been going to Correctly for years, so I know good detailing, but this was easily on that level, if not better. Aldo did an incredible job fixing some rust drip stains from parking under some El tracks. Toyota quoted me like $500 to try to buff it out with no guarantee and no paint touch ups. And if it didn't work, they said the body shop they recommend likely would cost at least double or more so might be worth getting their opinion before trying to buff it out. I reached out to Aldo because we had previously used him for inside detailing and he quoted a super reasonable price ($600) for buffing it out, paint, and touching up other small dings. He also said if he didn't need paint, it would be cheaper. He also said it would take overnight if it needed paint. He ended up needing paint, and explained the stains soaked all the way down to the metal. But it was ready for pick up same day, and he also gave the undercarriage a wash and vacuumed the inside for free! When we picked up the car, it looked and smelled great! Our young son unfortunately got sick in the back seat of our SUV. It was quite a mess, and needed a deep cleaning beyond what my wife and I had done to triage it. The car already needed some care due to lots of specks of tar that had accumulated on the sides and back from all the construction surrounding us over the summer. Aldo did a fantastic job. He explained the process very well. They removed the back seats so they could get to the areas we could not. Everything was cleaned, shampooed, and steamed top to bottom. All the tar was removed. They steam-cleaned the engine. Even a few small toys were found. The car hasn't been this clean since it rolled off the lot. To find it on Ravenswood Ave just park on either side of the road and look for door 5612 propped open, no sign, where Google Maps takes you and walk toward the end of the hallway and Detail Doctor on your left at the other side of the building. Just message Aldo on Google Maps when you get there or call. He will come out and look at your car. Aldo and his wife provided very good detailing service for my car, leaving it looking as good as new. I recommend clearing out your car before the detailing session for optimal results. Aldo is very responsive via Google chat or a phone call. He accepts Zelle for payment without additional fee. He is an honest guy. Despite finding a rat problem, Aldo meticulously cleaned my engine bay. This was my main concern. He also changed my air filter for 50. I did not want to do this myself with the rat problem. He also offered to stay late to finish when he realized it was worse than expected. I wish I took before photos of my engine, it was very filthy. But I took some afterwards. Aldo ran out to the street to give a quick estimate and was honest and realistic about what I could expect for a paint correction. After an easy drop-off (using a drop box), I received a call from him later the same day that they were already done. It exceeded my expectations--the car looks great! I have a fairly new car, not quite a year old. While transporting a case of red wine, my husband hit a speed bump going too fast and the wine bottles **literally** exploded. There was red wine everywhere. Dripping from the ceiling, deep into the carpet, running down the doors and windows, and pooling on the seats. But the worst part is that the wine ran behind the seats where I couldn't get it out. It was an awful, smelly mess. And as time went on, the smell got worse. I took it to The Detail Dr. and (to borrow from a previous reviewers' comments) they literally TRANSFORMED my car! On Sept 11, the north side of Chicago was inundated with 6" of rain in 2 hours. This caused widespread flooding of streets and basements. More spectacularly, the stress on the sewer system was so immense that manhole covers at Lawrence and Ravenswood were launched into the air by 15' high geysers of water. Our car was parked on the street a few miles from the flying manhole covers, at a low point on the block, and got flooded. On Sept 12, Aldo got the car into the shop and dried it out. We realized later that water had gotten much farther into the car than any of us realized, so Aldo got us back in right away, stripped the interior completely, and dried out the conduits, vents, etc. throughout the car. It was a lot of work and he did an oustanding job--we have had zero issues since, and as a bonus the car is also a whole lot cleaner (and smells 100% fresher) than it did on Sept 10. We normally get the car detailed annually. Aldo did such a great job for us that we're giving him our business going forward. read more
