I was expecting to hate the Detroit Wing Company. Maybe I even wanted to hate it. I mean... I'm from New York. What does Detroit know about wings? And we're in the midwest, so spicy things here kind of leave me flat. For New York standards, DWC is probably three stars, and I would recommend against them expanding into Buffalo. Still, I have to say, there was a lot that impressed me on my first visit. And without a doubt I am going to return for a second. Here's the thing. DWC will specify the wing cook time for you. I went for the 18 minute fry, which is a few minutes longer than normal. Even still, the skin was not quite as crispy as I would like. However, I spoke with the manager and she said next time I can order them with a 20 minute fry, which I expect will produce better results. Why so long? These are monstrously large wings. I know that's what a lot of folks like. Meaty wings. But wings were never supposed to be meaty. I'd be terrified to meet one of these chickens in a dark alley late at night. There are two kinds of wing people. Those who prioritize juicy meat, and those who prioritize crispy skin. The Platonic ideal wing of course has both. But we do not live in the realm of ideals, and sometimes one must sacrifice one for the other. I am firmly in the skin camp, and will gladly eat a drier wing. That's why God invented Buffalo sauce. Speaking of sauce, the classic Buffalo was surprisingly good! While it's toward the top of the heat spectrum at DWC in Queen City these would be considered mild. Maybe mild-medium. I sincerely wish there was a hotter Buffalo option. I also tried the spiciest sauce, hot garlic, which was tasty and truly piquant. It left my lips tingling in a delightful way. But I had naively hoped that extra heat and garlic would have been on top of the Buffalo base. No such luck, but so it goes. In the future, I suspect I will be happy with 20 minute Buffalo wings. After trying the fries, I look forward to ordering a dish of poutine too. Detroit is close to Canada after all, so maybe it's marvelous. The fries certainly are, with well crisped exteriors and delightfully creamy centers. They are also well seasoned. But skip the fry sauce unless you like a sweet condiment with your savory snacks. It's not for me. The blue cheese, on the other hand, was delightful. I also really enjoy how you can order small portions of wings. Those suckers are filling, and a little goes a long way. Plus wings have gotten pricey as all get out. It was a coupon that got me in the door here, and I found out there is an app, and a loyalty program that will help give me a more reasonably priced wing experience. Mostly, as I enjoyed my lunch, I felt guilty about cheating on the local wing joint run by a fellow from Buffalo. These are vastly different experiences. DWC is a bit more sterile. Most folks get take out, which I consider to be a crime against wings, but to each their own. It's probably for the best anyhow, since there are only two tables and four chairs in the dining area. I am a sucker for a bargain, and a good wing, and I think both of these can be found at DWC. I am as surprised as anyone that I'll be coming back for more. Not only that, I'm looking forward to the adventure and dialing in my perfect order.

Opened last Monday but Grand opening today (04/09/22) with 40% off boneless wings! I've heard of DWC thru their other Michigan locations but this was my first time trying. There's no seating FYI! I recommend ordering online as it took over 30 minutes to get my order and again no seating - not even a bench for those waiting. They have a plethora of sauces - from wet to dry rubs. For every 6pc, you get get a different sauce. So, I ordered 12pc classic and 12 piece boneless and was able to pick 4 sauces. I appreciated the help to figure out which sauce. * Boneless 12 piece $9.77 (opening/happy hour pricing at 40% off) - Creole Parmesan, Whiskey BBQ * Classic 12 Piece $17.29 - Honey BBQ/ Lemon Pepper * DWC Poutine (French fries topped with rich homemade beef gravy & fresh white cheddar cheese curds) - random that they have poutine but when I see it, I gotta order it! Happy Hour daily from 3-5pm with 40% off boneless. They also have plant based tenders (PreTendies - ha so clever) but they're only sold in 6-8-12 pcs fyi

I ordered around 2 hours ahead of time. I ordered 20 wings total one for me and my father. He ordered buffalo wings while I ordered lemon pepper ones. However,it took an additional 40 minutes to get our order when we arrived by the time it said it was ready. The on top of that there was no sauce for either of our wings that we paid to have sauce on. This is not the first time this has happened at this restaurant but it being one of the few close wing companies I gave it the benefit of the doubt. As someone who works in the food industry there is zero excuses for this. It was a waste of money as the wings are very expensive which by the service and quality the price should be much lower.

Service was SO kind even as we came in close to closing time. Their servings are huge and so much better than BWW. The buffalo sauce is clearly homemade and their ranch is fantastic. No indoor seating btw!

My lemon pepper wings were tasteless and nasty. If I could rate it zero stars, I would. They were extremely UNDERCOOKED, close to raw. How gross!! After eating 2 wings, I threw up!! I spent close to $15 for 8 wings. Very disappointed and will not be back!!

Ordered online for pick-up, which was easy enough and they had my order ready on time. Also, you get a text when it's ready for pick-up. The menu is plentiful, lots of different appetizers and wing sauces to choose from. I ordered the butter & cheese wings, super tasty! They also have fantastic ranch for dipping! We ordered the mozzarella sticks and mac & cheese to share, they were okay. Honestly, the mac & cheese was WAY better heated up the next day. Menu is pretty pricey but $60ish was enough to feed a family of 3 with leftovers the next day.

We ordered 3 large cheesesteaks, 2 fries, and cheesesteak rolls, plus paid extra for add ons like cherry peppers on the side. Not only did they forget the extras entirely, but the "large" sandwiches were a joke. They used bigger buns and apparently decided that counted as a larger sandwich, because there was definitely not more meat. In fact, the meat barely covered HALF the bread. We literally have to cook extra meat at home just to turn these into actual cheesesteaks. And the cheesesteak rolls? The menu photo shows four halves. What showed up was ONE roll cut in half. That's it. The curly fries were the only thing remotely worth the money. Charging extra for every tiny add on while simultaneously skimping on the actual food (and the addons) is wild. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least put enough meat on the sandwich to justify calling it a cheesesteak.

The bun was warm and fresh. I can't tolerate stale bread. The Beef steak sub with mushrooms and cheese (onions). Had a lot of beef. Almost too much. Maybe a mistake based on what I've been reading. Or that's the norm for here. It's a bit pricey, but it was a pretty big sub. I think we'll be back on our next romp through Ann Arbor. 10/25

The options are many and exactly what wing-people require. They have different quantities, sauces, seasonings and I'm happy to pay an extra 1.50 to get all flats. The boneless are real white meat nuggets that have a right amount of breading. He tried the awesome sauce this time. I have to say that I may be properly addicted to the ranch now. It's incredible with the Cajun wings. The street corn was a nice side to share. Working hard all day in this heat, we enjoyed our takeout in the air conditioned truck. Wing Snob doesn't have inside seating. They are a take away shop. Very clean. Pepsi soda fountain with Dr Pepper and fresh lemonade options. The people there were so nice. The young lady was in training and the woman was kind and patient walking her thru how to add to my order. We ordered in the app and paid. All was made fresh so took about 10-15 mins. We waited until we got to our place in Dexter to eat and all was still hot and just cooled off enough to start eating it. So don't worry about getting it home and still being fresh. I hope they catch on. Good stuff.

Boneless wings were good- sizes varied and some were of smaller size so be aware of that if you order just 6. Cornbread was fine, but it very much fell apart and needed to use a fork to eat it. Know before you go: this place is take-out only (no interior tables and it has two tables outdoors that could seat maybe 5-6 adults. We ate at the table outside, but we were lucky because it was in the low 60s.) Service was good and cashier was very friendly and answered questions well. Food was pleasantly salty, but don't go here if you want a low salt low-fat diet, but I think that is also gonna be obvious from the get-go Note that this is a limited review due to visiting once so far. In the future, I would like to try the dry rub versions of things and definitely see if the fries continue to be amazing.

I ordered via DoorDash because I was having a tough time staying sane after work. I was waking up around 5-5:30 which is 2-2:30AM PST to workout and head to the office which means by 3PM EST, I was itching to hurry up back to my hotel room. Anyway. I am glad I ordered from here that night. I wanted something easy to eat and filling. I think my meal allowance is $70 a day but I didn't come close to the amount because I skip breakfast to not feel lethargic at work and I cannot eat lunch and dinner because though I have a weight problem, I cannot eat that much food in a short span. How odd! I try not to eat so late. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious. I throughly enjoyed the chicken tenders and ranch, too. It was not over cooked and they're rather thin which made it not overly over the top as a side. This place, Mr. Spots definitely hit the spot.
