This is a good sized, sports bar. Small town PA, American comfort food. Wings have a good sauce menu, but they tasted the same. The dry rub was the best (sadly they only had one flavor). I've been eating here for decades and it's always pretty good. I love the classic potato chips with a sandwich. A few customers had been clearly over served and had to be kicked out. I fault the owners, the servers and the customers here. You have to protect yourself and your customer. If someone is apparently drunk, you do not keep bringing pitchers of beer. Offering an Uber would have been best. Everyone got in their cars and drove out. read more

Love. This. Place. My friend recommended and i just can't say enough. We shared this pesto sandwich and i swear to god best sandwich I've had in a long time. The chicken parmesan is also absolutely incredible, and the cheesecake is excellent. This is my Friday go to, especially when the deck is open!!!! Love sitting out there throwing back some cold ones with the wife baking in the sun. The food here is quite good. I used to love coming here...before my visit today. Came here for wing night and honestly I've never been so disappointed with this place until now. I ordered the Thai chili boneless wings and they were just disgusting. So much breading and by the time I got to the chicken it was dry and tasted like they were frozen before thrown in the fryer. I didn't finish my order and when the waitress KARA came over I told her I wasn't happy with the wings and she asked me if I had tried them before and I told her yes I have and she said "Oh so it just didn't taste the same this time." Really? What kind of response is that? And she didn't even bother to offer asking me if I'd like something else or to take it off my bill. Kara if you are reading this at least pretend to act like you care about customers. Because of the downhill quality of the food mixed with poor customer service I will not be returning. When we found that The Galley was closed, we hightailed it over to Detzi's for my final meal in PA. You can seat yourself and have the option of going to the bar area where there are booths or to the dining room with many tables. We opted for the dining room and sat near the very pretty Christmas tree. We ordered the calamari to share and I think all of my family ordered some variation of a chicken wrap sandwich. I, however, went for a chicken cheesesteak with mushrooms and onions and a side of pierogies. The calamari was lightly battered and fried and I found it to be quite tender. It was served with a side of marinara sauce and was quickly devoured. All of us enjoyed our respective sandwiches and were too full for dessert. Detzi's is a local favorite and is warm and welcoming to its patrons. Parking is a plenty and it's easy to locate. A definite winner in Wind Gap. read more

I've been going here for years for the hot wings which have been the best I've been able to find. I've probably been to thirty or forty establishments in a search for better wings and so far I have not been able to. The staff are like friends and there is always people from the community around. The only compliant is the wing prices are excessive if you don't come on their wing night on Wednesday which makes them $.50 a wing which is half price. The place was cheaper a few years ago but I think they've caught on how good their wings are. read more

I was in here a number of years ago and not much has changes. It has a nice casual atmosphere, small bar and good sized dining areas. The specials seem to be a pretty good value and the food was good "comfort" style food. The service was solid and overall it seems like you would find good consistency here. Decent spot when you're choices are limited. So I was in the GF's hometown over the 4th of July and this was one of their regular lunch hangouts. Nice and casual sports bar type place. I had the tenderloin sandwich with onion rings. Everybody else had the steak sandwich. Everything was decent. The steak is better than the tenderloin though. Service was friendly. Ahhhh....."Detzi's " A home sports theme Bar away from home. Warm, comfortable, and I may add, clean atmoshere. Menu is a treat with daily soups and specials including their noteable and tasty standbys, cheesteaks, burgers, pizza, and interesting sandwiches, in addition to their dinner menu. Many beers to choose from. I had a nice IPA last visit. The staff is friendly, courteous and accomodating. Interesting sports memorabilia everywhere. See the website. Above all , The Detzi Boys, make you feel like your family. Although they're normally very busy, they always take time to chat or at least acknowledge you ! The regular customers are nice also. You can tell they're treated right. The new deck looks beautifully relaxing, and an overall compliment to this establisment. I'm an hour away, wish I was closer, but I try to include it in my travel whenever I'm even remotely close. It's just the kind of place, you'll want to return to. read more

Went today with my son for a late lunch. Service was horrible. Food was OK but cold. Not the kitchen's fault there. We were in the large room with the adjoining deck. There were only 2 other tables occupied there and maybe 4-5 in the other room. Still took 30+ minutes to get a hamburger. Our server was too busy talking to all the other employees to bother with her customers. When our food finally came she didn't know which table it went to. Really?? You had 3 tables and 2 were already eating! Never did get a check. Just estimated what I owed and left cash on the table. I emailed Jeff from their website and quickly received a reply. Waited for a table while a frantic older woman struggling to be a hostess ignored us then after a half hour of waiting and being ignored we left and the woman said you should have made a reservation. My husband and I went there for dinner last night. My husband grew up in the area and this was my second time there. We were greeted and seated very quickly on the outdoor area. This is a very pretty area, but that's where the the nice-ness ends. We ordered an appetizer and our meal. Our meal came out and they lost out appetizer. My cheesesteak had peppers on it; it was suppose to have fried onions. My daughter was missing her applesauce and cookies. My husband was missing his sauce on his cheesesteak. Our waitress was nowhere to be found, but the girl who was bussing the tables was very sorry and tried to get things corrected. She finally found our waitress. She halfway apologized with, "sorry about that, I have a big table in side." My cheesesteak came back with the peppers picked off and some onions thrown on it. The bun was completely soggy. It was by far the worse cheesesteak I have ever tasted. I took two bites of it. They did bring out my daughters applesauce and cookies. My husband's meal never got corrected. After we were close to finishing up our main dish our appetizer arrived. I know that mistakes happen and I would totally be understanding if the waitress would have avoided making excuses. It was clear that we were not pleased with our meal- my dinner was virtually untouched. She didn't ask or inquire. It was disappointing at best. Sometimes it can get very crowded because, honestly, there's no many more places in the area to go! I'd rather eat at Scorecard a mile down the road. In all fairness, Detzi's does a lot of business, & they attempt to cater to the families, the barflies, & the sports-enthusiasts. Be warned that Detzi's can fill up FAST on any given night after work. Their food is really good, & we enjoy the impressive selection of beers they have on tap & in bottles. They offer a decent variety of wing flavors on their wing night, they have good-sized portions, & there is a different special each night. This is one of the few places left where one can still get a properly-made German Pie (pizza) similar to Mateo's.
