    Levian Sourdough

Such a hidden gem!! Best sourdough in town, I tried em all, Deux wins. The people there sweet and friendly as well. Did the levian loaf, crunchy shell, chewy interior, just delicious, get it warm in the morning if you can, they have small loaves sometimes too.

Hidden little gem located in Santa Barbara's east side, Deux has your bakery craving needs. They have freshly baked bread to choose from, get it while it's freshly warm out of the oven! Sourdough among some of their options. They even have pastries and sweets to choose from. They have the best in my opinion gigantic cinnamon rolls in town! Best warm as well with the best frosting to top it off! Go early they sell out! They even have paninis for lunch and soups of the day as well as egg and potatoes salad. Deux has a cute patio where you can sit and enjoy your treats. The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. Cannot go wrong with whatever you choose.

This bakery is on the more small and cosy side but packs a punch when it comes to delicious food and variety. The interior is clean and all the display cases were filled with delectable food.I had a caprese panini that was nothing short of amazing! The bread was light and perfectly toasted and loaded with mozzarella, pesto and other goodies. I also split a strawberry scone with my hubby. The scone was on the thinner side which was new to me but super delicious as it was easier to taste and enjoy all the other ingredients. Customer Service was excellent. The young lady who helped us (America) was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed it so much and plan to visit again.

If you come here (which you should), come here for the cinnamon buns. I recommend leaving with at least two. That way if someone steals one of your hot commodities, you have the reassurance that you will be eating this delicious treat! The staff was so friendly and helpful here. The bakery is small so you do have to wait if there is a person or two ahead of you. When I arrived there was a couple who ordered 6 baguettes. They ordered so much bread it made me wonder if I should order some myself! Hot tip, this bakery is also known for their crostinis if you are ever in need. I ordered: 2 cinnamon buns 1 guava cream pastry 1 jalapeño ham and cheese pastry 1 doggie treat (free) Everything was yummy. But, if I had to order again, I would come for the cinnamon bun and the cinnamon bun alone. It was absolutely delicious and such a large size. Yummy!

So good that even my grandma who doesn't eat sweets LOVED IT!! Hands down the BEST bakery and pastry shop in Santa Barbara! I originally have never heard of this place, but after seeing my fellow Yelpers post delicious looking pics, I knew I had to try it! Thank goodness I did because it was so good! The best cinnamon roll I have ever had. The pastry itself wasn't sweet but the icing and cinnamon sugar mixture made it the perfect amount of sweetness! It was so good I could probably eat 3 in one sitting. I will definitely be coming back to try some more pastries (especially those croissants & soft pretzels)! On top of it all, the workers were super sweet! You can tell everyone is close knit! Tip -- you can only get the soft pretzels if you preorder them a day in advance!

Best cinnamon roll in Santa Barbara by far. Good consistency and moist. Highly recommend.

Tucked away, and never would have found it without yelp - great baked goods, but go early on a weekend for more selection!

I was on the hunt for a classic French omelet when I came across Alessia Patisserie & Cafe, and…read morethis place far exceeded my expectations in every way! As soon as I walked in, I was immediately drawn to the beautiful display of desserts. They have a huge selection of croissants, cookies, tarts, cakes, mini cheesecakes, and so much more--and everything is just as wonderful to look at as it is to eat. Even though I originally came here for the French omelet, there was no way I was leaving without trying some of the pastries. So I ended up getting the salted chocolate chip cookie and the lemon & raspberry tart, and I absolutely loved both! The salted chocolate chip cookie was soft and chewy in the center with just a slight crunch around the edges. The salt sprinkled on top really enhanced the chocolate flavor and gave it that perfect sweet-and-salty balance. But the lemon & raspberry tart was what I would call a nearly perfect dessert. It had just the right amount of tartness from the lemon and raspberry, while the light, fluffy meringue on top balanced everything out beautifully. Now for the savory food! I was so sure I was going to order the French omelet, but for some reason, the Blue Crab Crepe was calling my name. So I decided to go with that along with the Veggie Quiche, and I have absolutely no regrets about either choice. The Blue Crab Crepe came with two crepes generously stuffed with fresh-tasting blue crab and topped with lemon hollandaise and chives. The Veggie Quiche does take a little longer to come out, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Mine came with sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan, and basil, and it was delicious. The breakfast entrées also come with your choice of house potatoes, fruit, or a side salad. One thing to note: you order everything at the counter first before finding yourself a seat, and there is also a self-serve water station. From the beautiful décor and relaxed café vibes to the sweet AND savory food, I loved everything about this place. I originally came in searching for a French omelet and somehow left without even ordering one--which I guess just gives me the perfect excuse to come back!

We arrived during a busy Saturday morning and were lucky to be seated right away. Our server Sidney was awesome. Arrived with a smile, patients made great recommendations, and very efficient. Props to Sterling, also her brother, and his excellent basing support as well as keeping our water glasses filled. We also had the opportunity to meet one of the co-owners who was humble and helpful! The food was some of the best I tasted! The pastries were amazing and sauces delectable. Everything was cooked to order and prepared with care. We were so happy with our food that we had to take some pastries to go. We will definitely be back to visit this charming place!

This store was packed the entire weekend when we came in. Store is big and spacious with two sections. One is sit down cafe, the other is bakery and take out area. It's all fast casual style though. My favorites are lemon tart and lemon bar. Obviously I like lemon flavored pastries. The red velvet vegan cupcake and blueberry muffin were delicious as well. I am so jealous of this gluten free kitchen bakery and cafe. Wish we had something like this near my home! This is our must stop whenever we are in Santa Barbara!

We also ate lunch at the cafe the same day. So the overall rating factors out lunch in. The cake was 5-stars. We ordered a the chocolate decadence cake and it was delicious and not too sweet, which we appreciated. It's a dark chocolate cake filled with layers of dark chocolate mousse, frosted in swirled French buttercream, One downside is the price tag. A 6 inch cake was $80ish dollars. Our lunch was a-ok. We ordered a Ham and Swiss sandwich, a quiche, and lilac salad. The price point here is quite high. The sandwich was 19.50 for a fairly basic item. I short, we went there for the cake and stayed for lunch. The cake was memorable for the recipient. So we'd order from them again. Not sure I need to go back for a meal.

SCORE 0 HEALTH HAZARD 10…read more This is our third time we've had issues with the staff. Today is our last time going here. There was only one person in line and 4 staff members behind the counter standing around talking to each other. Nobody greeted us or asked for our bakery order. When I said excuse me to a dirty blond girl she replied "WHAT!" and continued to joke with a co worker. When the cashier finished with their customer they walked away and even though they saw we were waiting to be helped. I looked around and saw nobody helping seated customers or us at the bakery counter. Finally, the dirty blonde ask what we need and my response was "WHAT" ?! At this point we should have left and gone to Lilac Patisserie however we proceeded to give her our order. I told another customer behind us that rudeness seems to be the norm, and she agreed. I paid for our bakery items and asked an older woman scrolling on her phone if we could have a bag for all of our boxed treats. She grabbed a handful of bags and threw them at me from across the counter. We were appalled and left. We found a place to sit on State street to eat our treats and my daughter said she didn't want her Meringue because the dirty blonde girl used the back of her ungloved hand to repeatedly wipe her nose. We threw all $50 worth of baked goods in the trash. Yes, I should have gone back and complained I'm had everything refunded but it was Mother's Day and we didn't want anything more to do with this establishment. It was also an epiphany that they don't treat everyone this way. It could be you next time. Please go somewhere else. We will never go to anywhere but Lilac Patisserie which is to the left as you exit Andersons, past the stop light. You will definitely get your money's worth and the staff is friendly, professional, and greet you immediately as you reach the counter.
