    Loaves of freshly baked bread
    Diana L.

Hidden little gem located in Santa Barbara's east side, Deux has your bakery craving needs. They have freshly baked bread to choose from, get it while it's freshly warm out of the oven! Sourdough among some of their options. They even have pastries and sweets to choose from. They have the best in my opinion gigantic cinnamon rolls in town! Best warm as well with the best frosting to top it off! Go early they sell out! They even have paninis for lunch and soups of the day as well as egg and potatoes salad. Deux has a cute patio where you can sit and enjoy your treats. The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. Cannot go wrong with whatever you choose.

This bakery is on the more small and cosy side but packs a punch when it comes to delicious food and variety. The interior is clean and all the display cases were filled with delectable food.I had a caprese panini that was nothing short of amazing! The bread was light and perfectly toasted and loaded with mozzarella, pesto and other goodies. I also split a strawberry scone with my hubby. The scone was on the thinner side which was new to me but super delicious as it was easier to taste and enjoy all the other ingredients. Customer Service was excellent. The young lady who helped us (America) was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed it so much and plan to visit again.

If you come here (which you should), come here for the cinnamon buns. I recommend leaving with at least two. That way if someone steals one of your hot commodities, you have the reassurance that you will be eating this delicious treat! The staff was so friendly and helpful here. The bakery is small so you do have to wait if there is a person or two ahead of you. When I arrived there was a couple who ordered 6 baguettes. They ordered so much bread it made me wonder if I should order some myself! Hot tip, this bakery is also known for their crostinis if you are ever in need. I ordered: 2 cinnamon buns 1 guava cream pastry 1 jalapeño ham and cheese pastry 1 doggie treat (free) Everything was yummy. But, if I had to order again, I would come for the cinnamon bun and the cinnamon bun alone. It was absolutely delicious and such a large size. Yummy!

So good that even my grandma who doesn't eat sweets LOVED IT!! Hands down the BEST bakery and pastry shop in Santa Barbara! I originally have never heard of this place, but after seeing my fellow Yelpers post delicious looking pics, I knew I had to try it! Thank goodness I did because it was so good! The best cinnamon roll I have ever had. The pastry itself wasn't sweet but the icing and cinnamon sugar mixture made it the perfect amount of sweetness! It was so good I could probably eat 3 in one sitting. I will definitely be coming back to try some more pastries (especially those croissants & soft pretzels)! On top of it all, the workers were super sweet! You can tell everyone is close knit! Tip -- you can only get the soft pretzels if you preorder them a day in advance!

Tucked away, and never would have found it without yelp - great baked goods, but go early on a weekend for more selection!

I tried matcha elsewhere and it was instant regret. For the matcha latte, the color was perfect and the tea was strong. And plenty of options for us lactose intolerant girlies since the matcha latte default to oat milk. You can also adjust sweetness and I went with 50%, which was perfect. Service is amazing and the store itself is gorgeous. I would recommend visiting during a weekday though. The line during the weekend was a little intimidating haha. It also seems that the pastries sell out fast, but I didn't get a chance to try.

Both were super creamy. The mochi doughnut selection was great. Went with the Mango Sticky Rice Brioche Donut and the Chocolate Brownie kochi doughnut. I wish they had more comfortable seating because everything is bare wood with no cushions which made it pretty uncomfortable to sit and enjoy the lattes. Overall charming and airy atmosphere!

Perfect Valentine's Day Breakfast Stop…read more Every time I'm driving into Los Angeles, I stop on State Street to charge my car -- and today (February 14th ) we decided to grab breakfast while we waited. Best decision ever. We stumbled upon this adorable donut shop, and they had the cutest Valentine's-themed donuts decorated for the day. My daughter immediately chose the chocolate one. I honestly didn't think she'd love it... but she ate the entire thing without hesitation. That says everything. Of course, I grabbed some donut holes for the road -- because that's just tradition at this point -- but the real star? The bagel sandwich. I ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg, crispy bacon, tomato, red onion, and (because why not?) extra cheddar. It was DIVINE. Hands down the best bagel sandwich I've ever had. Perfectly toasted, flavorful, just the right kick from the jalapeño cheddar -- I'm still thinking about it hours later. I may have to stop again on the way home because I genuinely can't get that taste out of my mind. If you're passing through State Street, do yourself a favor and try this place. Absolute gem.

GET READY FOR A TRANSCENDENT DONUT EXPERIENCE…read more Just off State Street on Figueroa, you'll find a donut shop that feels more like a craft breakfast kitchen with a serious pastry soul. The owner's love for their craft, staff, and product make for an inviting ambiance you don't find in many establishments in their class. DON'T MISS BREAKFAST Their menu goes far beyond donuts, blending whimsical, flavor-forward pastries with substantial breakfast sandwiches and bowls featuring bacon, turkey sausage, and mouthwatering, fluffy eggs that taste like they've been kissed with something buttery, creamy, and completely unforgettable. PASTRY IS IN THEIR DNA The first sign you're in the right place? Walking past stacks of pastry flour on your way to the donut counter. Nothing says "this is going to be good" like seeing the foundation of the craft right there in front of you. And these are not airy, forgettable donuts. These are brioche-style, flavor-filled, butter-forward creations that deliver exactly what the menu promises. CHOCOLATE CHERRY ALMOND OLD FASHIONED (OH MY) The Chocolate Cherry Almond Old Fashioned is in a class of its own. It surpasses every old fashioned donut I've had, with a light cake base, a low-oil profile, and none of the overly craggy, greasy edges you get from a less thoughtful donut. This is pastry territory. The chocolate and almond are subtle at first, then the cherry arrives with a dramatic full tastebud activation -- sweet, salt, fat, and bitter all working together. The cherry blooms at the back of your mouth like springtime near the Capitol in D.C. or a Japanese cherry blossom landscape. It's where cake and donut collide into something that redefines the experience for kids and kids at heart. SNAP-CRACKLE-POP TREAT WITH AN UPGRADE THAT'S SWEET The Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treat Donut is another five-star execution of both concept and flavor. The Rice Krispies are real -- not decorative. They sit in a marshmallow flow atop a lightly sweet donut that oozes buttery goodness, with just the right touch of salt to elevate the sweetness and add that extra delight on the palate. I'LL BE BACK! Hook & Press is not just making donuts. They're creating edible moments. Santa Barbara is lucky to have them.

They have a good selection of doughnuts all unique flavors. The coffee is really good. The server for my coffee wrong but I ended up not correcting it because it was very good. I ordered the special salted caramel brown sugar but for the salted caramel instead. I wanted to go back to order another coffee. My first bite of the cream cheese everything doughnut I was disappointed. But as I ate it more there was more cream cheese which I enjoyed. Sour: we ordered other doughnuts as well. We were pretty full all day so we didn't get to try the others till the next day. I'm guessing we should have forced ourselves to eat it the same day. The flavors were good. We ordered brown butter, carrot cake and pistachio lemon. By day 3 they were completely bad and very hard. The everything doughnut is not consistent in the amount of cream cheese inside. The one I had next day was not as filled as the first one I had. We ordered some doughnut holes as well and the glazed was melting. If I'm ever back in town I'll go for the coffee for sure and order 1 doughnut so I can have it fresh.

I was shocked with their serving size because it was so much for only $9. Anywhere else this would probably be $20 lol. With the small you can get four flavors so i got horchata, peanut butter, honey vanilla, and graham cracker. All of the flavors were so yummy, not to sweet, and creamy as could be. He is a fan of McConnell's and wanted to grab some ice cream after our dinner. This location only has 3 parking spots plus 1 handicap spot. Thankfully we found parking on the street and there was a line of people waiting to get in. Once inside, Christie was the girl who helped us and she couldn't have been more pleasant and kind. She was very upbeat, energetic and did not rush us at all as we tried to make our decisions. She was more than happy to give us as many samples as we wanted. Since this location had frozen yogurt and the one by our home doesn't, my son decided to go for that. He got Horchata, Greek Yogurt, and Peanut Butter flavors in one cup. For his toppings he got rainbow sprinkles and chocolate chips. I had a few spoonfuls of it and it was DELICIOUS! Great texture, super smooth and decadent, while still being light. The portion was huge and enough to share. The place was very clean and they have a small outdoor seating area. Sweet ending to a sweet day!
