Good dogs and friendly service. This location is a block from my hotel, so I stopped in on a cold evening. They only have seating outside at tables and a stand up counter inside, so I ordered my food to go. Place is small and clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. I got the traditional Chicago, Blue Demon, fries and a soda. I didn't take any pics since I ordered to go, but everything was tasted great. The sauce on the Demon dog was very good, but they only have canned/bottled drinks. Grab plenty of napkins and condiments too. read more

Location was right on the river. Great to enjoy the city view and people watch but that's bout all. Well, the bartender was very helpful in explaining the menu. It wasn't his fault that the hotdogs were cold. The Chicago Dog was definitely the best in the four that we order. My pro tip just order their signature Chicago Dog and nothing else. read more

Swung by Devil Dawgs to quickly grab some vegan hot dogs. The line was small but for some reason, it took them ages to take our order. Also, since I ordered the vegan dog, it look them longer than usual to get our order ready. The Chicago style vegan dog was ok in my opinion. Their relish also looked unrealistically green. The place is really small with very limited seating. Not a big fan of this place and I won't visit again. The person at the counter was really friendly though and apologized for the delay in our order. read more

We finally got to try a Chicago dog on our trip and it was delicious! It def hit the spot along with a bag o fries. Come try a Chicago dog here if you'll be visiting Chicago for the first time. There is only standing room for about 4-5 people so don't expect a sit down area. You really only need about 5-10 mins anyway to finish a hotdog and fries. read more

They have a nice outdoor seating area for summer that is cordoned off with tables to fit groups or individuals. The tables have umbrellas which is nice to keep the sun at a minimum. Nice to be in the Gold Coast/Mag Mile area steps from The Magnificent Mile area with shopping and so forth. Delicious options for delicious food, hot dogs, chicken, onion rings, fries and tots! The service was excellent; chef inadvertently added onions and corrected it immediately with a new Chicago Dawg immediately, we offered to pay and they explained how they are accountable. Definitely coming back to this place before we leave town. Also the Oreo Shake was delicious! Also, very friendly to children and dogs. Outdoor dining only. Or standing counter inside. My husband and I visited shortly after they opened on Monday. There was no wait and our order was available within 7 minutes. I had a Chicago dog, tater tots, and an Oreo milkshake. Omg, they were all sooooo good. Chicago dog was what I expected. Tater tots were crispy. Oreo milkshake was huge. I'd definitely come back if I was in Chicago. I dropped by here for a quick bite during my recent visit. I was going to try to a classic Chicago dog, but was tempted by their other delicious options! I ended up going with their mexican-themed devil dawg that came with mayo, corn, pico de gallo, and cheese. No regrets - it was super flavorful with the right balance between meat and toppings. The toppings actually went really well with the beef hot dog. It was a tad bit expensive for a hot dog (esp compared to Costco's 1.50 deal lol), but definitely worth it. I only regret not coming back and trying their other options. read more

The place used to be where I'd go to get the hamburger (imo) in the entire city. It was replaced by this very similar category. The service was very friendly, courteous and fast. All 4 tenders were perfectly cooked with an almost perfect taste. It tasted light a light and clean bite. perfectly juicy and tender. I had reservations about how the fries would taste as fries that usually look like that (from other pictures at least) always seem to dissapoint. They were actually very good in and of themselves and complemented the tenders fantastically. I felt it didn't get the full 5 starts only because the fries, technically, could have been better quality in any event; the tenders were a tiny step too greasy, imo. We found this place on Yelp and knew we had to visit based on all of the amazing reviews. It was my 2nd time visiting Chicago, and I'm so glad I didn't pass up this gem. The Chicago dog was delicious with super fresh toppings, but I liked the Maxwell Street Polish even more. It was cooked perfectly and I honestly wish I'd gone back up to order another one. The cheese curds were incredible as well. Highly recommend visiting and asking for suggestions on what to try. Great customer service! The restaurant is more like a walk up counter to order from. On our Family vacation and wanted to eat what we think of as the real thing without going too far out of downtown. This is what we came up with and hit it twice during our week stay. My whole family loved it as we only have Weinerschnitzel (no offense to the Schnitz) where we're from. We all stuck with the classic Chicago dog. The last two times I've had the burger (once at the restaurant and once at home) the smoked brisket has been dry. On my last occasion the bottom half of the bun was burnt. It was barely edible without drowning it in sauce. I've reached the point that the price outweighs the food quality. We stopped by Devil Dawgs on our way home and had a good overall experience. The customer service was amazing, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself was very clean and well organized. The only downside was the online ordering experience. I never received a notification that my order was ready for pickup, so that could definitely be improved. My hot dogs were also a bit chewy, which I'm guessing may have been because we ordered later in the evening. On the other hand, the fries were absolutely amazing, crispy, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the meal!
