They have a nice outdoor seating area for summer that is cordoned off with tables to fit groups or individuals. The tables have umbrellas which is nice to keep the sun at a minimum. Nice to be in the Gold Coast/Mag Mile area steps from The Magnificent Mile area with shopping and so forth. The service was excellent; chef inadvertently added onions and corrected it immediately with a new Chicago Dawg immediately, we offered to pay and they explained how they are accountable. My husband and I visited shortly after they opened on Monday. There was no wait and our order was available within 7 minutes. I had a Chicago dog, tater tots, and an Oreo milkshake. Omg, they were all sooooo good. Chicago dog was what I expected. Tater tots were crispy. Oreo milkshake was huge. I'd definitely come back if I was in Chicago. I dropped by here for a quick bite during my recent visit. I was going to try to a classic Chicago dog, but was tempted by their other delicious options! I ended up going with their mexican-themed devil dawg that came with mayo, corn, pico de gallo, and cheese. No regrets - it was super flavorful with the right balance between meat and toppings. The toppings actually went really well with the beef hot dog. It was a tad bit expensive for a hot dog (esp compared to Costco's 1.50 deal lol), but definitely worth it. We found this place on Yelp and knew we had to visit based on all of the amazing reviews. It was my 2nd time visiting Chicago, and I'm so glad I didn't pass up this gem. The Chicago dog was delicious with super fresh toppings, but I liked the Maxwell Street Polish even more. It was cooked perfectly and I honestly wish I'd gone back up to order another one. The cheese curds were incredible as well. Highly recommend visiting and asking for suggestions on what to try. Great customer service! The restaurant is more like a walk up counter to order from. The place used to be where I'd go to get the hamburger (imo) in the entire city. It was replaced by this very similar category. The service was very friendly, courteous and fast. All 4 tenders were perfectly cooked with an almost perfect taste. It tasted light a light and clean bite. perfectly juicy and tender. I had reservations about how the fries would taste as fries that usually look like that (from other pictures at least) always seem to dissapoint. They were actually very good in and of themselves and complemented the tenders fantastically. I felt it didn't get the full 5 starts only because the fries, technically, could have been better quality in any event; the tenders were a tiny step too greasy, imo. Underwhelming. Surely Chicago dogs have to be better than this. I couldn't taste the hot dog due to all the sweet toppings. It was rubbery - I had to really tear it away from my face for the casing around the dog to give way to a bite. The tots were sub par, which is difficult to do with tater tots. On our Family vacation and wanted to eat what we think of as the real thing without going too far out of downtown. This is what we came up with and hit it twice during our week stay. Cool little spot! There is limited street parking. All seating is outside. You order a la carte inside and you're given a number. The team is super nice and organized. They get a lot of customers in such a small space. They answered my questions quickly and was very nice about it. The food comes out quickly. The Chicago dog, chicken tenders and fries were great! This might've been my first time trying a Chicago style hot dog and I will say I'm a fan. Although the big Chicago dog is advertised to be bigger, I would stick to the Chicago dog since it's cheaper and only the hot dog meat is a bit smaller but plenty. The Chicago dog is good to fill a craving or have it as a snack while walking around the city. I really enjoy the acidity of the relish, pickles, pepper, and mustard with the fresh and watery balance of the tomato. The hot dog meat had a good snap to it but felt a bit dull in flavor compared to your Ball Park, Nathan's, Hebrew National, etc. all beef hot dogs. read more

We just were not impressed. The classic Chicago dog was covered with the brightest green pickle relish I've ever seen, which just screams unhealthy food coloring (Why do places do that? Regular relish looks and tastes right!). Otherwise the dog was OK, but nothing outstanding. The shake tasted (and I suspect it was) made from a powdered mix, not real ice cream. There was no inside seating, just a counter you could lean on. There were tables and chairs outside, which we tried to use, but unfortunately it was a night of thunderstorms and sure enough, within minutes of us sitting down, the rain started. So we scooped the meal and drinks into the trash can and headed off elsewhere to find an evening meal. Unlikely we'll go back. read more
