Just came back from Devil Dawg and it was interesting. The restaurant had a lot of energy and definitely full of people.... The nice guy over the phone and cashier was a nice dude... I see they expanded their menu a bit! This is my 2nd time eating something from here. The last time was some years ago. I got a chicken sandwich and the hand-cut fries. The fries were GREAT (back then) and the sandwich, although tasty and nice flavors, it was very sloppy!. So, this time I ordered a "shroom" sandwich; "Grilled marinated Portobello with grilled onions, tomato, cucumber, pepper jack cheese, avocado and spicy brown mustard." Well I got my food back to the office and the fries were cooked to a crisp.... Overcooked and I had the remnants or the bottom of the basket fries!!! NOT good this time around. I only ate approximately an 1/8 of the total bag. Now, to the burger!. IT WASSSS GREASY!!... that I could see that through the unwrapped paper!... I was like ggggeeeeezzusssss!!!... I had to slap some of the avocado off the sandwich before biting. I took (1) bite and the damn thing fell apart!. I had to put it back together numerous times. I gave up and grabbed plenty of napkins and a fork and knife!!.. This was the first time in my existence that I EVER-EVER...EVER-EVER-EVER ate a burger/sandwich with a fork and knife and THAT didn't even help!. I attempted to eat it open face and all the ingredients kept slipping off the bun!. It was a sloppy, greasy mess. I gingerly finished the burger and like I said, I threw the rest of the fries away. Like I told my boss, I'm probably gonna pay for eating this later on. Ohhh boyyy!!!.... Moral of story... If you are trying to eat health/clean you NEED to avoid this place at all cost!!.. HOWEVER, if greasy food is your thang or if you have the drunken hungers this place will DEFINITELY work for you. For me... I'm good!. I'll see just how good later on today!!!... read more

I don't even know where to begin... I went into this location to grab my typical order for my gf and I. 3 plain hotdogs and a bucket of fries. I walked in and noticed that within two month, they've raised their prices on everything once again. My order would usually be $15 and was now $20. I asked the cashier what the hell is going on and he informed me that they're under new management and all they care about is $ and they're losing a lot of their customers. I couldn't believe as you could tell this fella was so stressed over people saying the same thing. I got home and went to eat the food with my girl. We both took a bite, well tried to and looked at each other like wtf.. I was biting into beef jerky. We legit couldn't bite through the skin of the hotdog for whatever reason. We threw the order out and ordered pizza. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE! New managers need to resign and treat their employees better. read more

We're from Atl, GA and felt like we were eating at a real local Chicago dogs place. It was everything we hoped it would be and plan to make it a regular stop anytime we're in town. It was an easy walk from our hotel with quick, friendly service. The dining area is super tiny and incredibly crowded. But the service is quick so we didn't have to wait for a table. read more

One of my favorite spots in the entire city. They have addictive milk shakes, amazing french fries, fantastic sliders and dogs. This is one of the few places where the food is overall fantastic across the board. It's a great place to get take-out or sit-in and watch a game. Either way, I highly reccommend it. read more

So I have ordered from this place numerous times since my original review, and I would say they consistently get a four star from me. I have sine had many items on the menu, including dogs, burgers, shakes and the chicken sandwich. It costs like four dollars to have the food delivered and I live very close, so sometimes I will pick it up, but there isn't much parking and with it being so cold, I really don't want to walk because my food would be cold by the tie I would get it inside to eat. This was the first place we went to the night we flew in. We walked to the place and were a in awe of all the choices. I tried something new each time I went! Sean was really patient and took his time explaining a few of the menu items. If your looking for burgers they got a great selection as well. The Chicago dog and Morning burger are my favorite! Sooo good! I have been to Chicago a number of times and sadly walked past this place a few times. (Bc from the outside signage it seemed intimidating) Once I went in again overwhelming with the menu on the wall but food amazing. The staff was super friendly. I had my 10 year old son with me and they addressed him directly and answered all questions he had on the menu. He even had a special order and they were 100% cool with it. read more

4 for flavor, -30 for the 24 hours of vomiting right after. Never been so sick. Made even worse that this was my "leaving Chicago" lunch spot, and I got to spend the next 5 hours on a plane and 2 hours in a car doing the most killer abs work out in the tiny airplane bathroom (even while landing - which the pilot was not happy about, btw), on the side of La Cienga, the 405, the 5, and the 101 freeways all the way home. Good news: don't have to worry about those calories from the Coney Fries and Chili Bacon dog. Bad News: will probably never be able to eat a hot dog or chili again. Thanks, Devil Dawgs. This is the first place we stopped at to get food. It was my first time ever in Chicago and a friend had mentioned how great this place it. It was his second time going that day! I don't remember what I got, but it was so good that I went back for seconds. The burgers are a bit bigger than slider, but there's a lot in the burger so it's fulfilling. It's not near as cheap as Nicki's outside of the loop where you can get a burger AND fries for the price of a burger here but it does taste better. I had a cheeseburger. I am glad I went with the Double Cheeseburger because the thing is tiny-- about the diameter of McDonald's $1 cheeseburger. It does have more meat though and it looks like real meat not cardboard. On the plus side they give a lot of fries for the bag of fries. They are among the best fries in a fast food joint. Also they have a hand sanitizer right at the entrance. read more

This place is the bomb, simply put. The food is always fresh and has great flavor. I normally get their burgers but recently tried the chicken sandwich. It was really good and super juicy. One of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've had in a while. Also their burgers are small so you can try a variety of them like little sliders. I just ate my first Chicago style hot dog at Max's Take Out earlier today. It was great and I gave them five stars. I felt the need to try another one later in the day and came across this place in the yelp reviews. The price was a little cheaper $3.40 here and close to $4 at the other place. The quality difference was huge though. This place had hot dogs with very tough and chewy skins, the peppers were also chopped up and not evenly placed. Because it's such a simple food little mistakes really hurt it. I would not recommend it or go again. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. Not necessarily because of the food, but in the three times I have been there not a single employee has worn gloves while handling and assembling my food. Nor have I seen them wash their hands in between orders....I don't know where your hands have been so please don't touch my food without gloves. I'm not really a hot dog fan, but the Chicago dog was pretty good. Nice crisp pickle, jalapeño and tomatoes. Even the relish was good. I had onion rings with awesome sauce and the rings were really golden and crisp. My only complaint is that there was no bathroom for clients to use and I couldn't get them to refill the lemonade. read more
