If you're gonna go fast food and want a greasy fix, this is a good spot. The inside has lots of chalk art and painted graphics on the wall. They have old school hot dog stand booths and also tables and chairs. Seems to be plenty of room for seating. I was there at lunch and while it wasn't crowded, there was definitely a steady stream of customers. I originally found it when I went to Wicker Parks annual restaurant crawl. That tasting was enough to bring me back. I love that they have some out of the ordinary combos. The must buy is the Ancho Chili Chocolate Shake...spicy and sweet. We also took home the Rooster (fried chicken sandwich with a fried egg, melty cheese and tomatoes between a soft pretzel bun) and the Elvis burger (a burger with peanut butter, don't knock it until you try it, and siracha). We order this with a bag of fries and a bag of onion rings. The sides were enormous and we should have shared them for sure. We will definitely be back when we are looking for our next fast food fix. read more

There is a good reason why your bill is so high. These guys are crooks. Should be investigated. I order a cheeseburger and onion rings. He says the total is $8.89. The register says $9something. He tells me that the register defaults to a 10% gratuity. By this time, I've swiped my card and I'm charged. He offers me 80cent back. I look at the receipt and it says double cheeseburger. Idk what is up with the reviews for this location, but devil dawgs is awesome. I live a 3 minute walk from here and I have to have a talk with myself every day, otherwise I would eat a clucker and onion rings every single day of my life. The clucker sandwich is quite possibly my favorite sandwich in the whole entire city. Every time I have been to this location that have prepared the food hot and fresh and have been incredibly friendly. I came to Devil Dawg right when they opened on a weekday with 20 students. Half of them were Chicago public high school students and the other half exchange students anxious to get their first taste of an authentic Chicago dog. The Devil Dawg dudes delivered with deliciousness and made the students' experience memorable. Their service and generous portions were highlights of the trip. They were more than accommodating, especially for such a big group. Highly anticipated my visit here. Wasn't satisfied at all, first the cooks gave my friends and I an attitude and yelled at us because our food was waiting, I guess you have to stand by the pick up window the whole time or they get upset ? Their shakes are AMAZING. I said AMAZINGGG. Their dogs are decent as well. The place is nice and spacious; they have a couple TVs overhead; the place is kept pretty clean, too. My only qualm is I ordered several items and they called my ticket number 3 times (once for each item). Every time I sat down good, a few minutes later I was back up picking up some other element of my order. Other than that, though, I enjoyed this place and will probably be back. I love this place. Great selection of interesting burgers and hotdogs. Greasy french fries! Onion rings! And greasy in a good way! If you get a burger, make sure you realize that their patties are small and you might want to order a double or even a triple if you're hungry. If you use a card, make sure you check the tip percentage. They will set it automatically to 10% and stand over the display and make it awkward for you to select "No Tip", which should be standard. I had a very wonderful lunch at this restaurant with my friends. This restaurant is not just amazing with its food but with its service as well. I want to start with the restaurant, which has a nice space. It is definitely far from being boring because it is the type of restaurant that is filled with lovely art and the ambiance is cozy and a bit laid-back. The service, on the other hand, is fast and the staff are all nice and friendly. This restaurant has been one of my go-to spots, and until now I am pretty sure that I haven't tried everything on their menu because it has a lot of different options. I always stick with my favorites in the restaurant, which are their burgers and dogs. Last time I got a burger, fries and a shake. Their burgers have a huge portion, and they are always fresh and juicy. They always taste delicious too. Their fries are fresh and hand cut and served cooked as crispy as possible, golden and perfectly seasoned. Last but not least, their milkshakes, which are among the best I've had at this restaurant. Their milkshakes always taste good with any flavor I get. The food is really good at this spot, and the prices are reasonable. It is definitely one of the comfort food restaurants I could recommend in Wicker Park. read more

Used to be 5 stars by far, the clucker WAS amazing now it is only okay the recipe was changed to a standard/basic plain chicken from its original recipe which was award winning. Not sure why the owner decided to change it but it's definitely not as good, very disappointed in the changes made.. it is still better then most chicken sandwiches just not up to the standard they're used to holding. read more
